This host location is located next to Council Grove City Lake. The actual parking is about 50 yards from lake access. I have a nice patio area next to the lake and a small beach area. Local requirements do have a quiet time that begins at 11:00 p.m.
At this time- since I am a new host I can not think of any rules. This might be updated if needed in the future. My preference would probably be for smokers to do so in their camper - or in my driveway.
All roads are paved that lead to my property if you arrive from the East.
Tow vehicle can be left attached or parked beside the camping unit
Located in the Flint Hills of Kansas (ummm not flat land that you see from I70). Council Grove is a small town with many historical sights. I’m about 20 miles from Tallgrass Praire. Boutique shopping in Council Grove.
Jan was a wonderful and gracious host. She has a lovely spot on her property. Right on a lake. Very peaceful and we got to put our toes in the sand on her tiny private beach! And let us harvest her tiny tomatoes. Delicious. Very quiet evening. Hope to see her again!!
Troxell worked with me on a short notice stay and was incredibly welcoming. It was an absolute pleasure to spend time at Grove Cove, and I hope to one day have the opportunity to return. I can’t imagine a better host!
Such a great place. We enjoyed our host very much. She is a great person and very welcoming.
You simply could not ask for a better place or more wonderful [email protected]
Needed a place to park and plug in for the night on a big road trip. I arrived at dusk super pooped and was quickly met by the host.
I appreciate her prompt communication with me. Would have loved to see the lake in daylight. Hope to make it back soon.
We were just traveling through, it was the perfect stop, simple and quiet. The host shared local information, and was very generous.
Our host was so nice and what a great lakeside spot. We felt right at home and would love to stay here again.
This was absolutely a amazing place to stay. my host was so accommodating and very nice. it was great having coffee with her the next morning and talking about our history and our common likes. If I had time I would explore the town further it is wonderful so you should stay for two nights and tour the town, quaint and historical area
