Leave a reference for this hostCorner property of one acre. Access from two streets with drive-through ability. Nothing fancy, but very safe neighborhood. Wildlife that could show up on the property include fox, deer, skunk, and bear. I have a four-person hot tub open for use in the back yard. Individuals must be clean and without perfume or oils since it is not treated with any chemicals. House kitchen, bathroom, shower, and laundry can be used when owner present at no charge.
I prefer no smoking on the property and absolutely no alcohol or drugs. Children and pets are welcome as long as they are well-mannered and supervised, and you must clean up after them. No generators please. I can provide standard house electricity and water at no charge.
Easy access from two streets onto gravel driveway of corner property.
Tow vehicle can park with rig our elsewhere on property.
Meadow Valley is a small community located between Quincy and Bucks Lake in the Sierra Nevada Mountains north of Lake Tahoe. Snow in the winter. Summer weather is generally 90-100 during the day but can be 40-50 degrees colder at night. The Pacific Crest Trail passes through the Bucks Lake Wilderness and is about five miles from the property. Lots of fishing, hiking, camping, and off-road vehicle areas.
Great visit all around. Very knowledgeable, gracious, and accomodating host giving us a thorough history of the area and letting us use his spacious facility. We definitely will stay in touch and he is most welcome to join us when he visits the PNW. A shout out to the Maidu's!!
We were so excited to return for a second stay! Our host has quickly become a close friend and a part of our family! It’s hard to leave for that reason. Definitely consider staying here on your journey and spend some time with the host. The location is absolutely beautiful but not as beautiful as the soul and company of the host :)
This host is so Incredibly nice and welcoming. He allowed us to use his shower, he helped us with some repairs around the motor home, we made and had a wonderful dinner (he smoked the ribs and we brought some sides), our dogs were welcome to come in and also play in the back yard with his adorable dog “shorty”. We have never felt so at home and we are so lucky to have met him. We believe we have made a lifelong friendship and look forward to coming back again!
Les is warm and welcoming and his property is beautiful and makes a great stop as you explore the surrounding Sierras and Lassen. I was able to park in the shade and Les provided water and electricity and offered the amenities of his home as well (shower and laundry!).
Oh, and Mr. Shorty is the best!
Highly recommend!
