We are about 2 miles North Of Fremont, Ohio just off SR 19. Fremont has several sights that might be of interest (Check out Sandusky County Visitor Bureau for a list of all the things to see and visit in the area). Also, Lake Erie , Port Clinton and Put In Bay Island are about 16 miles north and for most of the summer I am sure things are booked up, so this would be close to the festivities. We have water , gray water dump and a ONE 30 AMP hookup available on a first come first serve. I am not sure what else to add if you need anything else Please let me know.
We want to know if you have pets and they must be keep under control, We have 10 plus acres so there is plenty of room for them to run on the property but we have our own pets and don't want any animal fights :).
Please treat our home as if it was yours, We have a dumpster for the trash so please keep your area clean.
Wendy and I are friendly but sometimes busy. I am not sure how to say this but we don't mind children but we are not a child care facility so please keep an eye on them. I just don't want anyone hurt.
You may run generators anytime if necessary.
We have 1 -30 amp Electric hookup on sight 1st come 1st serve, however someone staying multiple nights will have some preference but you have to let me know.
Sometimes pull through depending on weather. You should have no problems turning around your RV. You may have to unhook your tow vehicle but plenty of room in drive way. As far as the driveway access from the road again should not be any problems. Please call if you need any other information.
Very large parking area next to Rv parking
April 1st ish through November 30th ish depending on weather
My plans changed a bit and the host was very accommodating! Easy to access from the highway.
Our host greeted us by his driveway. It was easy to park and leave. Brian was kind and courteous. He has plenty of room for big RV’s. We recommend this host for a peaceful nights rest.
Wonderful host. Interesting spot to camp. We met another couple also camping there and we had a great time. Better than paid campgrounds! Cedar Point only 20 minutes away.
I stayed at Lynwoods Rest Stop with my 20' travel trailer for one night on my way across Ohio. The host met me at the road and directed me to a lovely spot facing a big corn field. My spot did not have hookups, but I believe a least 2 of the others did. Once I was backed into my spot, the host said "There's only one rule here -- make yourself at home!"
There were 3 other boondockers there for the night, and we enjoyed sharing destinations and stories. Great host, great stay. You are right off the turnpike - so you need to be OK with traffic noise to stay here.
The host was very helpful and friendly. The electric hookups were convenient and with 3 other Boondockers there, the company added to the enjoyment. The down side was the truck noise on the Turnpike but I was able to sleep through it.
It was close to shopping and he was very nice . and the k 9 training was very interesting during the time we stayed , would stay again it's a great place
When you need a place to stop for the night, this host is generous enough to offer his home to so many, where there a few options for fellow travelers. Making hookups available is more of his apparent generosity. Sorry we only got to see you when you helped us park. Very pleasant-seeming man. The highway noise may be a hardship for some.
Honestly, there isn't much we say about Brian that hasn't already been said. Brian truly has a passion for his profession and it shows. Very welcoming and accommodating. Definitely a unique experience that we will not soon forget.
Great stay! Great visiting with other guests and appreciated Brian's passion for dog training that he shared with all of us! Great people!! Relaxing, enjoyable! Thanks!
The host greeted us at the driveway and guided us in exactly to our spot. Helped with water availability, trash, and dump. The "Dog and Pony Show" (his words) was very educational about how K-9 Cop dogs are trained. Being a lite sleeper the Ohio Turnpike noise was a little much for me but tolerable. He recommended going to Port Clinton nearby on the Harley, but it looked like rain so we drove the truck. Nice place and host!
Thanks to Brian and Wendy for a very pleasant first boondocker experience. We pulled in and it was 95 degrees... we were worried about not being able to run our air... Brian made sure we had some power so we would be comfortable! Thanks😎
Brian was a gracious host! He also hosted an educational session on how he trains his dogs, very interesting and informative! Looking forward to stopping by again some day.
Easy on and off I90. Brian is very welcoming. There is even electric for one rig. He also has a donation box if you are so inclined.
Brian is a wonderful host. He greeted me and made sure to direct me to a perfect spot. There were several other RVers there and at 7pm offered us the opportunity to get together for an educational Q&A about police dogs and his role in working with them, training them and opening his facility. Enjoyed it very much and learned a lot. This was a quiet, safe place to sleep and I'm so grateful Brian opened his location as a boondocking spot!
Brian is a very accommodating host, we were lucky to arrive minutes before several other folks and were able to get 50 amp service which was perfect. Brian sat with us and explained his role in training police dogs with an informal educational talk. Nice sunset overlooking a corn field. The highway is close but not intrusive and didn’t take away from a great stay. Thanks Brian!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Brian Woods. The water, electric, and Wifi were greatly appreciated and all worked well. We enjoyed sharing the ample space with two other Boondocker Welcome members, who added greatly to an interesting experience. We were privileged to observe the Sheriff's K-9 officers training the dogs. The location is very convenient to the highway. There is a supermarket nearby. Despite being in farm country, you can hear some highway traffic, although it didn't bother us at all. Brian is a friendly and generous host and we really appreciated the time spent at his location.
It was a HOT night in June. My generator was not working. It was good to have a host who knew where to get ICE. Nice group of people camping for the night in a very convenient location. I’m enjoying the Highway 20 trip. Oh and the greatest food truck in Norwalk Ohio was the Red Shamrock. Another “must stop” on Highway 20.
Just stayed one night, but couldn’t have asked for better. Flat, roomy spot, convenient to interstate/Lowe’s/Walmart.
I called Brian prior to our arrival and he met us at the end of the drive and directed us in. We were lucky to be the first out of two rigs to arrive so we were able to get the full hookup. We were thankful as it it was 90 degrees and it was so very nice to not have to pull out he generator. Extremely level parking close to the highway. The highway was right behind his property but there was absolutey no noise so we had a peaceful nights sleep - thank you Brian!
Brian is a really great host. Met us at the end of his driveway in the rain to welcome us. Gave us a nice tour and talk of his training facilities. Can accommodate large rigs. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
A great host and plenty of space to maneuver big rigs!!!
Very relaxing and convenient place to stay. Close to many attractions! Very accommodating folks. Highly recommended!
Nice, convenient place to stay, our host was very friendly . Offered assistance with local places to shop
A nice, safe spot to spend a night.
Lynwoods Rest Stop was a nice break after a long day of travel. This host was very good with communication and directions.
We arrived on Easter Sunday at about 2:30 and the owner met us at his driveway. He had left his families Easter festivities briefly to meet us personally. We were able to use his power, water and sewer and he is very accommodating. Would HIGHLY recommend his property when traveling through the area.
Brian’s place is visible from the highway (but nighttime traffic quieted down and didn’t bother us at all) . . . Once you arrive, you learn you’ve got 50 amp service, potable water, and even a dump! We made use of the electric hookup and enjoyed a nice break from days of traveling. The next day, we were able to use a dumpster on the property, and even mail something from his mailbox. Thank you, Brian - we will come back when we have time to see the area.
We enjoyed our stay with B and his dog training location. We did sit through one of his events and it kind of put together his beginning history with dog training. We met a couple of other BDW members and enjoyed each conversation we shared. This location is close to a main interstate, has the potential of being noisy . Only a few miles from town so easy access to last minute needs. I do plan on stopping here again when in the area.
Welcoming and friendly host! Perfect wide open place to park and close to interstate, so very convenient!
Would love to stay again! Thank you!!
Brian met us at the road and directed us in. We were able to plug-in, fill our water tank, and get some sleep. Great stopover.
It was lovely to stay here. I enjoyed the bike path and it was a great place to relax.
Even before our host met us at his driveway, we felt welcomed! He was so kind, friendly, and generous with his space, electric hookup, water, and WiFi. Plenty of space for us to easily turn around in our 20 foot rig. Really convenient off the highway. Perfect location, great host, we will definitely be back!
The hosts were very helpful in getting my rig situated. I’m a total newbie and backing up is not my strong suit just yet. The area is gorgeous.
This is a great stop, the host is very friendly and personable. We had all services for a minimal donation and there is a large field to run the dog. We'll definitely stay again if passing through.
Super place to overnight. Our host was great. He met us at the end of his driveway on his bike. He made power, water and sewer available. We have a 41 foot motorhome pulling an F-150. If your rig is longer than ours you will need to unhook in order to make the turn into and out of his property. Other then that Plenty of room. Outstanding stay.
This is a wonderful property just off the ohio turnpike, very convenient for our stopover night on a longer trip. Brian was very friendly and hospitable. He met us at the end of the driveway on his tractor and led us through the yard to pull in so we did not have to back into the spot. He even offered full hookups! Though we were more than happy with the electricity to power our AC and keep our pups cool overnight. We also enjoyed an incredible sunset over the vast fields. Highly recommend!
Our host was the best. The dog expo is educational and thrilling to the point that half the audience stood up to get a better view of the working police dogs. If I hadn't stayed at this location I truly would have missed out. FYI the expos are scheduled so they aren't all the time but the master trainer was the host and shared his knowledge with us. Thank you host.
We were lucky enough to get the police dog demonstration. Will definitely stop again. Owner was a great host.
The hosts were very accommodating and kind. The parking area is very large and convenient to navigate and park. Really very nice people and nice experience
Brian was a gracious host. Thx! Our two small dogs enjoyed all the grassy areas to run free. His electrical, water and sewer were very welcomed. There’s a nice rail trail about 3 miles away. Would definitely stay here again.
Brian is a great host and greeted us at the beginning of the drive onto his property with a local travel magazine! Pleasant and very helpful. All sites are easy in easy out, pretty level. We stayed 3 nights and were able to use all hookups. Plenty of room for our slides and parking for the truck. Location is between Cleveland and Toledo so lots of attractions to visit if you have time. Big thumbs up. Thank you for letting us stay. Sunsets were lovely.
Easy access just off the turnpike. Super accommodating and great friendly host with an amazing property. We will make this a stop next time we are in the area.
Nice place to stay with full hookups. Owner is very laid back and helpful ! Great experience! Thank you
One of our best experiences we have had with Boondockers Welcome. The hosts were very accommodating and we had a great time visiting with them. We were extremely fortunate to have been there for one of their Police K-9 demonstrations, and it was the highlight of our trip to the area. We have made a lifelong friend at this stop and will return for a visit in the future.
Brian was a great host for our first BW. Power was perfect for the hot night and the kids and dog loved running in the large field and watching the trucks on the turnpike in the distance. Would definitely recommend!
We always have to be careful of our height at 13' - 3", no problems here though the turn into the driveway was a bit tight coming from one direction (42' long 5th wheel). Brian and his lovely wife are super nice and very welcoming. With this being our first time with Boondockers Welcome we couldn't have been happier. There is a 2-mi long desolate road that goes by farms great for walking or a quick bike ride. Brian has full hookups (30 amps) and the $10 fee is a bargain. We hope to return at some point in the future.
Brian was more than accommodating. We spent a quiet evening before hitting the road early in the AM. Highly recommend! Thanks Brian.
Very easy access as everything is flat! Electric, water and DUMP are right where you park. The dump was just in time for us!!! Brian was very accommodating and friendly!
Nice safe place, good power. Easy to maneuver in parking lot. Good groceries close. He even had a brochure for the area.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The hosts are the best!! Very hospitable and welcoming! I would recommend to other Boondockers traveling through the area.
Thanks for everything!
Location was easy to find. Beautiful spot with a quick setup. Host was welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much!
All the fixings! This is a great stop to get re situated, powered up and fresh water bonus.
Super nice couple. Even had a packet of information with local experiences for us.
Can’t go wrong!
Thank you both so much and hope to see you on the road someday!
