Rexroat is a grateous host, very informative about things to see in the area. It is quite handy to go into Springfield ,(don't miss Bass Pro World Wildlife Museum and Aquarium). The site is quite basic, on gravel at the back of his lot and no shade. There is a active railroad that is half an open block from lot. Not particularly a problem as we did hook up to electric and water for $10/ night... so with AC running it was a non issue. Good local TV reception with antenna only. We would come back.
We enjoyed our stay! Rocketrex was friendly and helpful. He recommended some local restaurants and a tire shop as we had tire go down just as we pulled in. He also offered for us to stay as needed to get it fixed. We had a good night. Having a 50 amp hookup in the heat of summer was such a blessing. There are train tracks somewhat close w occasional trains going by, but w the windows closed and acs running we did not hear them. The host recommended we come in from the back way, and we were thankful bc there were low trees and wires we would have been in w our fifth wheel. Thank you, Rocketrex!
We had a great visit at this host location. A beautiful place that is very unexpected considering where you're at. The host was very gracious got us hooked up to electrical in water and we enjoyed visiting while exercising appropriate social distancing! LOL. We enjoyed a walk around the immediate area and enjoyed looking at the pond and ducks and a lot of the hosts handiwork in the pond! This is a new host site and I think we are the first people to stay there. Would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling near this area. Would like to extend my sincere appreciation for making us feel right at home during this very difficult time. Thanks again!
