We live in the middle of a 120-acre farm. Although the cattle have all been sold, we still do lots of work around the farm. Because our dog sometimes accompanies us, pets should be leashed or well-controlled when off-leash (our dog is aggressive toward cats, so dogs are preferred).

It is difficult to park near the utilities when our RV is present. Get as close to our RV as you safely can to minimize the distance. Extra lengths of sewer hose, power cord, and water hose are all probably necessary to use that particular utility.

House Rules

No smoking
All garbage should be bagged (no loose material should be left) and left in rolling dumpster near end of driveway. Please, no more than 2 13-gallon bags per visit.
Please drive 10 mph or slower on driveway to lessen frequency of driveway repair
Cleanng windshield with water is okay, but any washing of RV or vehicle(s) should be limited to waterless products, such as Wash Wax All.
Please check with us before having any packages sent to you, or mail forwarded to you during your stay.

Access Road Conditions

Gravel driveway generally uphill with a length of slightly under 1/4 of a mile. Driveway opens onto Ooltewah Georgetown Road, a paved secondary road.

We routinely drive our 43' diesel pusher with a height of 12'10" on this particular section of our driveway, so limbs and turns are not problems entering or leaving.

Driveable RVs with towed vehicles may be well-advised to unhook (or remove vehicle from dolley) between the 10 mph sign and the storage shed rather than waiting until reaching the RV barn.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

Can park next to RV, or beside it if choose to use available utilities. If fail to use available utilities than can park RV and vehicle in any configuration you choose.

Most wonderful stay

We had the most wonderful stay at the Davis Farm. This was a perfect and peaceful setting to rest our well worn tires for a few days. This is a great area of Tennessee and we enjoyed visiting Harrison Bay State Park near by. The area we parked our motor home gave us both privacy and beautiful views. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful And the fact that they had electric hookups available ended up being a huge blessing. We HIGHLY recommend anyone considering it to go ahead a stay at the Davis Farm.

Extended stay and a chance to get away!

As this was only our second BW experience, we were in awe with the accommodations and generosity of our hosts! We thoroughly enjoyed the quietness and beauty of the surrounding area. We greatly appreciated our host’s generosity.

Our favorite stay, not far away!

Having a family wedding to attend in the area, our hosts graciously made provisions for us to stay on their farm for an extended time. We were truly blessed with a such a beautiful, peaceful retreat. Our hosts were very kind, friendly and accommodating. It was a pleasure to meet them and spend a little time conversing on various topics.

Mountain top view.

Great place, easy access, gracious host. Had a great extended stay and got a little exercise too. Had not spent a lot of time in this part of the country. I will be back. Beautiful!

Going to Be Hard to Beat!

This was our first experience with Boondockers Welcome, and WOW! Run-Cross-Country sets a high bar! Beautiful family farm with sunflower field in sight of our rig. Great site with power, water, and sewer all available — we only required power. Peaceful locale. Safe and secure. The most gracious hospitality. Treated to a beautiful sunset and watched deer scamper across pastures. A top drawer experience!

Beautiful place

Neal and Ginger are very courteous and kind people. Their dog isn't so bad either. ;-) Beautiful surroundings as well. Thank you for allowing us to stay with you.

Wonderful break from quarentine

The hosts were very kind and friendly. My husband and I wanted a quick get away from the city and the four walls of our house! Beautiful farm and very friendly hosts. Highly recommend. Very special place and we are honored they shared it with us.

Expansive View, Generous Amenities

We are absolutely blown away by the generosity of our hosts! They allowed us to stay with full 50A, water, and sewer hookups while they were out of town. Invited us to enjoy the magnificent view from their back deck, and even wander the trails through the property. When circumstances forced us to extend an extra day, they enthusiastically agreed.

It’s all for the best, as this gives us the opportunity to meet (at an appropriately safe distance) face to face!

Would heartily recommend this site to anyone passing through!
