Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostI'm not spending much time now doing this, but its a good stop over place by my business in the high desert.
We do have electric, but water has to be hauled or come from God, one could dump in the septic, but there is a KOA better suited.
If you need work done on the RV, good chance we can handle it.
We work on everything.
Short 1000 yard dirt road to the shop, just off route 66, 2.5 miles from town.
Slight uphill.
Good restaurants and stores
Main parking is on west side where slab is, by door and fence is 30/50 amp power
Unlimited parking available anywhere around the shop
This area is pretty much always available.
Rarely do we park something on the west side.
Occasionally a large RV needing repair work might park there, but plenty of other parking.
Lilo's German restaurant, Roadkill and Road Runner restaurants, Pizza Joint, Family $$, lots of tourist stores to by things
2 hours from the Grand Canyon
Great place to stay.
Easy in and out
Dave was helpful with
an RV issue.
Cool town nearby
With a great breakfast at Lilo’s
Dave was very accomodating and a pleasure to briefly meet. We slept soundly, lulled by the trains. Interesting things to see nearby.
A great stay and highly recommended.
Great spot just off the highway, but far enough there is no sound except the occasional train which didn't keep me awake.
I missed meeting my host, but we had good, friendly dialogue vis msgs.
I'd be happy to stay again, if he'll have me.
It was quiet and peaceful. No problems at all. We had an enjoyable night here.
Did not get a chance to meet Dave. His directions were very good. Used the 50A hookup. Train noise at night but not real bothersome. Would stay again.
We got in much later than we intended and it wasn't a problem the site is truly self-serve found the hook up no problem for electricity very quiet very restful night thank you so much to a great host. My wife said it was like staying in Radiator Springs...
Great place to spend the night as a stopover on the trip home. Nice level spot. We were able to leave the travel trailer hooked up to the pickup.Used the electrical outlet, worked very well. Good Verizon signal. Trains pretty close, but didn’t bother. Davebeen was very easy to work with, responded quickly to messages. Thanks for the Boondocker spot.
Davebeen is super nice and responsive!
The place is right off the I-40, and still, it feels very safe and quiet (only a train goes by every now and then).
A good place to stop when you are traveling.
davebeen did a very good job of Covid communication :) - everything was by messages.
Very easy to pull in and out of, a level spot where I did not need to unhook for my one night visit. Thanx davebeen, and hopefully see you on the road, when you start your own travels.
We requested to stay same day and Dave was very accommodating. He called and gave us great directions and the location was very easy to find. My spouse is working from the road due to covid and we had great AT&T and T-Mobile service next to the garage and Dave was kind enough to allow us to work from here for the day. Thanks very much for the hospitality!
Located next door to a diesel repair shop. Very convenient to both Route 66 and I40. Not a commercial area as I expected it to be. Nice level area. There was 50 and 30 amp service although we did not use it. Met the owner's son who was very welcoming. Secluded area. You do have freight trains passing at night a few blocks away , but they didn't bother us at all. 5 minutes to restaurants. Thanks!
i needed an escape from the heat in the south and city noise. This was perfect for me and since the shop was closed due to the pandemic I was told I could park anywhere!. I have solar to power all I need, so no need for electric power. The breeze and wind with fresh air was perfect. I slept like a rock so trains didn't bother. Thanks again, and thanks to Boondockers Welcome.
Thank you for the same day acceptance for an overnight stay. Very convenient, level & safe!
I'm sorry the I wasn't able to catch anyone to give them $$$ for the 30amp hookup. I'll have to stop over next time I pass by your quaint town.
This spot worked great for us for an overnight stay. It was quiet and very easy to get in and out of the spot. There is a train close by but we never really noticed it. Thanks to our host for allowing us this stop.
