I RVs can go to the end of our cul-de-sac turn around and pull straight into RV parking area. Good road conditions and the RV parking is on road base with just a slight slop. The other parking area up by the house is a back-in it's about a 22' rv and there's room for a truck as well. They will need to back up an incline on the driveway if they're parking next to the house and it's slightly sloped. But we haven't had any issues with anyone parking there.
The space at the street level can take take up toba 40' and truck. Plus there's room for a small tow auto if it's un-hooked to put on an area close by.There's plenty of parking for RV and Tow vehicle or Trailer and Truck in front by the road.
We actually have another spot available for a smaller RV up next to our house. Water and electricity available as well.
Our location is open to travelers as long as we aren't traveling ourselves, which as you can see alot of dates are blocked. But that could change if the parks we have reservations at are not open at the time of our reservations.
We know how important it is to be active and have exercise especially out doors with fresh air. Also realize how difficult it is to find a place to stay overnight while traveling with an RV since most of our State Parks and some private parks as well are closed. We ask that you be healthy and have no symptoms of the COVID-19 or have been around anyone who may of been exposed before asking to stay.
Clementine Lake 15 mins. great boating and hiking. Sugar Pine Lake 30 mins great for Kayaking, fishing, swimming and hiking. Historic Auburn town 20 mins. away. Historic Old Sacramento on the river and Railroad Museum is about 1 hr. Donner Lake and museum, Reno and Lake Tahoe is 1 to 2 hrs. away. There's a ton of local hiking around our area to many to list. As you drive along Foresthill Rd. you'll see many autos parked because of the hiking a bicycle trails are very popular for outdoor enthusiasms.
There are not enough positive words to express the gracious hosts and surroundings of the environment. It was a truly serene and easy stay for this newbie. I definitely would like to return and cannot recommend more highly.
My stay at Bambil Land was wonderful. Deborah and her husband were gracious and lovely with a beautiful home.
Our hosts at Bambi Land were really great. We enjoyed chatting with them on their back patio and sharing traveling and family stories. They had a lot of good suggestions of places to hike and things to explore in the area. Their place is very beautiful and peaceful. We especially enjoyed seeing the many deer and wild turkeys that regularly wandered through their yard. Altogether, we had a great stay here.
First Boondocker experience! First leg of month-long trip from Bay Area California to Montana! First tire blowout ever! Recovered with new tires but could not have recovered completely without Deborah and Hank! They were welcoming and encouraging, but most of all Hank’s extensive MacGyver skills saved our day. No Hank, no Montana! We are so very grateful for all their help. And, such nice people too in a beautiful place!
I can’t say enough good things about these hosts. They were very friendly and helpful and checked in on us frequently to see if we needed anything. They are so great I would come back just to visit them again.
Wow! What an incredible location. Our hosts were so awesome. This is our first boondocker visit and we r so impressed. We will definitely be visiting other locations. We have been spoiled now through We went bicycling and visited Sugar Pine lake. The boondicking location was quiet and had awesome sunset views. We have made a connection with theae wonderful hosts and hope to see them soon in Vegas
WOW! You are unlikely to find a more beautiful location in the foothills (~2500' elevation) & close to Hwy 80 & the Donner Pass between Sacramento & Lake Tahoe.
But these BW Hosts are wonderful & very accommodating.
I very much enjoyed my visit here, even though we maintained our "Social Distance".
YES! I do recommend this location & would enjoy a return visit.
