Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostHomestead on 2 acres close to I-10. May hear some traffic from I-10 at times. We have an acre beside the house that is easy pull in and totally enclosed by a field fence. Well behaved pets are OK but you must clean up after your pets and yourself.
There are several roasters across the road that crow night and day so fair warning. Hot and humid in the summer and nice weather during the winter. Bring bug spray.

This was a great stay! The hosts were so kind and made sure I was going to be safe during the storm. Thank you so much!
This was a great place, quiet area! We unfortunately arrived during a tornado watch and it was a little rainy and windy. I hope we get to visit again and stay a couple days.
Our host was a helpful, friendly, and gracious. Level, easy access. I would back in next time, rather than pull in and turn around.
What a wonderful couple! They did a wonderful job of making us feel at home. A lovely peaceful location, and a warm campfire made our stay complete! Loved the doggies, too! Such fun!
We would definitely love to stop by again!
We had mechanical problems which delayed our arrival. They were understanding and work with us even added an extra day to be able to get the part we are waiting on. Was a very relaxing time. First night in a long time I've slept most of the night.
I thought I’d already left a review here, but it does not appear. We want to be sure and express our appreciation to these folks for our wonderful stay. Our hosts go above and beyond to be sure their guests have all that is needed and are situated properly on their property. We had a wonderful time visiting and sharing stories. We hope to catch up along the road in Texas in the near future. This is a “do not miss” Boondockers Welcome experience.
Cop-a-Squat,
This is an amazing spot to stay. They family are really friendly and helpful. It's a nice spot and "quite" as only as farm animals all around you can be. They do have the sweetest dogs also.
All around awesome spot to stay. We look forward to staying there again on our next trip through.
Team Cop-a-Squat
Thank you for a wonderful time and a quiet nights sleep..
Thank you for hosting.
Cop-A-Squat made our first experience with Boondockers welcoming and pleasurable. Their kindness and hospitality meant so much. Their property is charming and cozy. Thank you both so much ❤️
Location is convenient to Tallahassee but out in the country. Hosts were very helpful and great to talk to.
We were traveling south when something went wrong with our electrical system. It was unusually cold and we had no way to run our furnace as our cabin battery was dead.
Being our first ever Boondockers stay we were unsure about what to expect and felt very much like intruders asking last minute for help solve a problem of our own making.
Our hosts were BEYOND welcoming and accommodating! We had the hook ups we needed to be able to run space heaters through the night and keep the water pump running so we had a working toilet.
They’re place is awesome, “old Florida”. He is an amazing artist with loads of clever sculptures, big and small to entertain guests. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
Thank you so both much!
First let me say - congrats to Mrs Cop-a-Squat on your retirement!
Pleasant stay and really nice folks! Enjoyed sitting around the fire and chatting away the evening - we felt like we were old friends!
Safe travels as you get out more in your motor home and hope to pass your way again!
It was fun sitting around the campfire talking and joking with each other. They are the cutest couple. There were some other boondockers there and we even got a little fiddle show. Great hosts and great people! Who could ask for more.
Nice place to stay for a night. Safe and secure and accommodating host.
Very nice folks. We stopped on out way from FL to AL. Dogs all got along well.
Cop-a-squat were so great! It was a bit tight getting our 44ft 5th wheel in their area but with help from the host, we got it done. We also had blown a fuse and when we couldn't find ours, he had one for us, life saver! They are so very welcoming and very kind. They're 3 dogs were very sweet. It was a great 1 night stay and if were in the area again, we will definitely stop by! :-)
We had a great stay at this location. A very nice host. We had several conversations. The area is beautiful and we highly recommend staying here. Thanks again!
We enjoyed our stay with the Host and were happy to tour the property and get to know Cop A Squat. We loved the creativity and the generosity of our host. Thanks so much for your hospitality.
We enjoyed our stay and enjoyed learning about Walden's hobbies. I won't spoil it for you but it was very cool! Be aware if it's raining you will be on sandy soil. We had no issues and no rain. Very gracious host's and fun to talk with!
Thanks for the limes!
Pleasant and very artistic folks. We were delighted to see all their handy work. They were welcoming and made us feel right at home. Huge yard with plenty of space to stretch out. Their dogs were friendly and got along well with our dog. Hope to see these guys again, their place or ours. Just a heads up, the neighbors have roosters for an early morning rise if you are a light sleeper .
Excellent. We were greeted at fence upon arrival we parked we met Cop a squat. Great time with Cop a squat and his dogs. Would recommend we will look them up upon return to area!! Ty for nice visit. 😀😀🇺🇸🇺🇸
I really enjoyed my stay at Cop-a-Squat. They made me feel right at home. We told our RV stories and information we gained in our experiences.
We stayed with our hosts mid-March on our way to the panhandle. It's in a small community of homes down a small country road. We gave them a call after getting off I-10 and they met us at the electric gate to welcome us in and help us park. Being a 35' Class A - towing, there was plenty of room to pull in and unhook. Lots of room for several rigs. Another Class B also stayed the night. Our hosts are new to RVing and so we all had fun talking about the lifestyle. Very quiet and an easy departure to get back on the road the next morning. Many Thanks! Happy Rving!
Had a delightful stay in this secluded neighborhood. Our hosts met us at their gate and got us situated right away. The gate entrance is a bit tight, and the yard is fairly small for maneuvering, but we were able to pull straight in and get set up and level in our 35’ fifth wheel with no issues.
We had clean well water and 20 amp electrical service which let us run our A/C or microwave (but not simultaneously).
They provided a fire ring and wood for our use, and great company. We had lots of friendly conversation (from a reasonable distance) and enjoyed the companionship of their friendly dogs. They were gracious enough to accommodate us when Covid19 restrictions forced us to extend our stay.
The town of Monticello has a quaint little historical district as well as supermarkets and sources for propane and fuel. The outskirts of Tallahassee is only 15 miles away.
We have no hesitation in recommending this peaceful site and wonderful hosts.
This was definitely a pleasurable stay! Mr... and Ms... were excellent hosts! Me. ... made sure we had all the hook ups that were needed. They were very pleasant and we had dinner with them both nights and enjoy their company and the conversation very much! I would highly recommend them for your stay if you were in this area.
We had two nights here and would have stayed longer had we not had reservations. These two hosts could not be more helpful. We had access to two water hoses and to electricity. Hosts asked "is there anything you need", so very kind. Its off a really quiet road and all you can hear are distant roosters in the morning. We drove into Monticello, an historic town just close by. The roads are beautiful on the approach. Hosts made a fire that first night and we got to visit with another rv couple. We played cards for a really fun night on the second night. Excellent! Such nice people!
Our hosts were super helpful and we had a lovely stay at their quiet place. Plenty of room and easy in and out. He met us at the gate to let us in. We enjoyed a nice visit around the fire with another BW couple. They are just starting their RV life and so appreciate talking the lifestyle. Lovely folks!
Thank you very much for your warm hospitality and conversation!!
We very much enjoyed our stay! We will look forward to another meeting!
We left Pinky this time, but beware you might not be so lucky next time!! 🤣
We very much appreciated the water and electric hookups too!!
Peaceful area with beautiful trees and sweet dogs! The hosts were also great and they shared their wonderful art with us!
We had a great stay with Copasquat, great people, super friendly and our dog got along great with their dogs. There is lots of room, we had a good water source from their well, and the site is private and secure. We will definitely look them up next time we are in the area.
Another fabulous spot to stay at. Very secluded and quiet, yet about 20 minutes from Tallahassee. And what a wonderful couple who host, warm and friendly. I look forward to staying here again someday.
Our hosts at Copasquat are very helpful and communicative. The site is a grassy yard, and we were able to hook to a fresh water supply. Located on a quiet paced road, and a very short drive to Tallahassee . Many thanks for the hospitality.
We were “Cop a Stay’s” first guests, and they were our first Harvest Host hosts! We couldn’t have had a better experience. The nights were bitter cold, but their electric hookup got us through. We enjoyed visiting and viewing their artwork, and our dogs loved the big fenced yard. A great experience with great hosts.
