The location is at an elevation of 2200' and is secluded. The stars are brilliant on a clear night. The fall foliage is something to see.
Go Slow on the driveway, the neighbors have small children and dogs.
We are at the top of Buck HIll. Road is paved until the top of the hill and then down a dirt/gravel drive way. Once through the gate if you have a longer rig you will have to do a three point turn. I do that to park our 35' rig. Parking will be next to the small garage.
On the property next to your rig
We are located near Stamford, Cobleskill and Oneonta NY. The nearest attractions would be Howe's Caverns, Secret Caverns, Iroquios Indian Museum and the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
Top of The Hill is a secluded rural location near Jefferson, NY. Host was very helpful getting us maneuvered in position as there was a pile of timber where they normally park guests’ RV’s. We used their electric hookup but didn’t need the water as we arrived with a pretty full tank. This is a beautiful wooded area in the hills. Cell service was very sketchy but we were able to get good internet access with cell booster. Broadcast TV had limited choices but Dish Tailgator gave us great satellite TV for the duration of our stay, even when it snowed a little the night before we left. This is a real nice place to get away from it all; we’d love to visit again if we are in the area.
Quiet and secluded. Rick the host was there to greet me and help me back in and set up. Although we didn’t visit long it was nice to meet the host. A very secluded and quiet spot. I would stop here again.
We arrived just after 4pm as agreed and as soon as we did R came out and showed us some options fo parking. Soon after Rick's wife T came out and also welcomed us to their place.
Two very nice people and easy to talk to
The drive was not bad at all getting into our spot was very easy. We would definitely stay again if in the area! They offered us things above and beyond what we expected.
Thanks again for a wonderful stay!!
