At Country Mill Farms, we strive to "Glorify God by facilitating family fun on the farm and feeding families." As a working farm, the farm is open to the public from the end of July-October. Pick your own apples, blueberries, peaches and pumpkins at our 213 acre farm. Relax on a wagon ride before enjoying fresh donuts, caramel apples, and pies in our bakery. Take a stroll in our farm market to discover unique gifts, hard cider, wine and fresh apple cider. We grow and produce organic apples, cider, applesauce, apple butter, apple chips and vinegar. Customers are able to come purchase a bag to pick fruit, enjoy a walk on the farm and make special memories. Check out our website for more information about our farm and harvest updates.

August 2021

Gates were locked and owners never responded to my messages :(

My husband and I were set up to stay August 5th. I contacted them in the morning and told them of my arrival time of around 7:30-8:00 p.m. Asked if that would be too late or if it was OK. We had a lot of traffic at the Sleeping Bear Dunes which put us behind schedule by about 1 hour. So, we arrived at 7:45 p.m. All gates were locked. I called the phone number only to have to leave a message. I explained that we were there to stay but I wasn't sure what to do as the gates were closed. In the message to me earlier, it said to go to one of the two gates that was open and go on in. Neither were open. There was a man driving a vehicle around the property and he started to head toward us, then went into a barn and never came back out. I'm quite sure he saw us trying to get in. We waited a little while in hopes of a return call, but nothing. So.. we had a decision to make. It was already 8:00 p.m. and we had a 3-1/2 hour drive home. Do we try to just go to a Cracker Barrel, or just try to make it home. We decided to drive as far as we could (which ended up being the rest of the way home). We arrived home, exhausted about 11:30 p.m. This was our first boondocking experience and I have to admit, it was not a very positive one. Not sure if we will try this again in the future. I was so looking forward to enjoying the next day at their mill, buying blueberries and possibly peaches and sunflowers. To say I was disappointed is an understatement.
