The most lovely and interesting folks I've met! Have set up fabulous amenities including a tent covered area and fire pit.
Beautiful property with tremendous trees and lovely neighbors.
10/10 would recommend.
Can't wait to see them again - thanks Heathgal!
Their place was not your standard location; complete with rv spot, fire pit, wooded area for small hikes, a farm next door and great hospitality!!
When we goto Whidbey Island we will be sure to visit!!
Although rain prevented sitting around the propane fire pit, I could imagine how nice it would be on a warmer (and dryer) evening. Air was fresh and even the rain was welcome for this "Oregon smoke and fire 'refugee' - Verizon and T-Mobile service available, but not strong enough for streaming. E-mail, text all good. Would have enjoyed some safely-spaced conversation around the campfire - but we will try another time.
Boondockers Welcome is a wonderful gift for us RVers and once in a while you encounter extra special hosts. These Whidbey Island hosts are just that.
The sweet camping space they’ve created is so special and comfortable. It’s quiet and shady - if you’re lucky you’ll hear the Great Horned Owl as we did.
They themselves are so kind and generous-we hate to leave!
Whidbey Island is full of lovely places, sights and activities.
We’ll be back next summer!!
We stayed in their yard which was more beautiful than many campgrounds! They are working to make their property even easier for RV campers, including pads and a fire ring. Sharon and Simon are interesting, friendly and helpful. We can’t say enough about our experience with them.
Thank you!
They went above and beyond to accommodate and make me feel welcome. This was my first experience with Boondockers Welcome and I don’t see how it could get any better. Their place is beautiful easy to get to and although in a neighborhood if feels secluded, rustic and peaceful. I’d see myself staying in touch with these people for years to come.
What an awesome place to stay and explore Whidbey Island. Sharon and Simon are wonderful hosts. We enjoyed visiting and sharing our experiences around a campfire (keeping 6ft. apart). We definitely be back to visit and explore more of beautiful Whidney Island.
