Located about 25 minutes from I-85 exit 149 (Georgia), this 2 1/2 acre property has a big old house on it and plenty of room for your rig.
Groceries, gas, hardware stores, dining, a pharmacy and other conveniences are about a mile away, in Danielsville. There are two state parks within 15 minutes with hiking trails, fishing lakes, picnic areas, a neat covered bridge, and more. Athens, Georgia is about 20 minutes south - a straight shot down highway 29.
While here you are welcome to use my swimming pool for stays between April and October.
Quiet time (no outside noise) is from 10pm to 6am.
Larger rigs should come through the side of the yard, allowing you to avoid the tight turning radius in the driveway as well as low-hanging limbs. Smaller rigs should just pull through the driveway.
The property is about 2 1/2 acres, and the best parking spot is dependent largely on the amount of rain we have had. We will make a plan based on the weather conditions and the specifics of your rig, but in most situations there will be multiple options.
There is usually sufficient driveway space, as well as plenty of space on the side of the house should that be preferred.
We stayed at Booger Hill and enjoyed talking with Bizfixer about the house renovation he is doing. He was a good source of information about the nearby State Parks and other attractions. Definitely would stay again.
The host was very kind he helped me get hooked up but due to the virus we didn’t get to talk the rest of the visit and I respected his space. He did email me the password so I could use the internet which was very nice. I enjoyed his goats which was my neighbors while I was there, loved listening to their sounds in the mornings. Host was not at home when I left, it was a tight squeeze for me to back out but I was very careful and took it slow and made it out with no issues. Very quiet area. It rained the whole time I was there so I didn’t get to sit outside. I would definitely recommend a stay here with this kind host anytime. Thank you
We didn't stay with Bixfixer. We recieveed a call from home and had to change direction of travel back home. So will try Bizfixer in the future.
He and his dog Hurley are fantastic hosts. He shared so much history about his wonderful historic home I am calling the “labor of love”. We will come back in the future to see his renovation progress! Also, his place is about an hour from Helen, Ga the cutest German town ever!! Thank you for your hospitality!
Our host was friendly and very helping us.
We stay just one night because we were traveling but we recommend it to everyone!
