2 acre open lawn/field. Easy access. No power, water, septic, or dumping station. Easy walk to Connecticut river. Quiet, off the beaten path
Enjoy your stay!
1/2 mile from state route 102 flat gravel road. Easy access with any type of vehicle
Connecticut River, Mt.Washington, North East Kingdom, Santa's Village, Burke Mt. Kingdom trails, Maidstone lake
Highly recommended. Flat, quiet remote spot. We had a great conversation with the host and he had some great stories. If we're in the area again, we'll be sure to stop.
We so enjoyed this down to earth couple and their beautiful space. A large open field with a fire pit, picnic table and even a trash can! Connecticut river is just a short walk away.
The view of the mountains is amazing and they are as sweet as they can be. They left a stack of firewood and gifted us with a homemade jar of pickled fiddleheads! We had a great conversation while they were harvesting their sunflower seeds from all their beautiful sunflowers.
Highly recommend this lovely couple!
Thank you Scott & Carrie!
Our stay was fabulous. We had our own little section with a picnic table and even a fire pit stocked with wood. Only 1 hr from the stunning white mountains! If you need to fill up water or use a dump, riverside camping and rv resort is just up there street. It cost us $20. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay on your property! We had the most incredible sunsets!
We loved our stay here! 2 nights with our 40 ft Class A and there was plenty of space! And the hosts were nice and friendly. Easy to get in and out of! And a nice quiet road. Definitely recommend and would stay again!
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting this couple. They gladly shared information. The site was absolutely gorgeous in a country setting with flowers all around.
We had a great time staying with Scott & Carrie. The location is super easy to locate and access, and superbly level! Their recommendations for activities were also very helpful and we much enjoyed ourselves. Hope we can visit again sometime. Thank you!
Scott was extremely helpful in directing us to his location and it was very easy to find. Nice level spot with great views (even though raining) and nice extras like garbage cans, fire pit and picnic table. Enjoyed visiting with them and hearing of their experiences both as hosts and guests.
We had a lovely conversation and a wonderful nights sleep. Excellent location with picnic table, fire ring and level parking. Highly recommend this place and Scott and Carrie.
Beautiful location and friendly hosts. Pleasant conversation and great recommendations for hiking. That view was spectacular! We hope to be back and would definitely use this host again!
We spent 2 nights here, very peaceful location with a great view. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating, met us upon arrival and showed us where we could park. Had a nice conversation about traveling and they gave us some advice on routes to take on our next adventure. Plenty of space for larger rigs and tow vehicles. There is also a picnic table, fire ring with wood, grate for fire and trash can. Highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.
Very friendly couple. Was helpful with a possible leak I might have had. Beautiful property
They were very gracious. The site was large and flat. They provided a picnic table, fire ring and wood to burn. They also had a grate for the fire ring for cooking on. The roads in and out were wide and smooth. We had no problems with our big class A coach.
Thank you so much. Great people.
Really enjoyed our visit with hosts and to learn that they have been to some of the same places we have. Nice level field and close to some great kayaking. Hope to host them here some time soon.
What an amazing location and great hosts! Scott & Carrie's Rural Vermont Retreat was absolutely beautiful. Our two- night stay was just what we needed and being able to Kayak on Maidstone Lake near by was the icing on the cake.
We could not have asked for a better introduction to the Northeast Kingdom of VT. This Vermont Retreat was truly a treat! We hope Scott and Carrie will venture out our way an explore some of our mountains.
Such a quaint and quiet overnight stay! Nice level parking. We really enjoyed our chat with Scott and Carrie and they were even gracious enough to share large bottle of spring water with us. I would highly recommend a stay here and I hope to be back when I can explore the area a little more.
We really enjoyed our stay at Scott and Carrie’s place. Great Mountain View and gorgeous sunsets each night. Super close to visiting the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
Scott and Carrie were awesome hosts. They live off a quiet dirt road between the White Mountains and Kingdom Trails. You'll have a quiet peaceful corner of their property all to yourself with beautiful views all around. We were lucky to have seen beautiful sunsets every night. They checked on us to see if we needed anything. It was great to get to know them, they even invited us on a hike the next day. Unfortunately we were not able to go. We would love to stay there again.
Nice place to park and great people to to be with ,I will definitely recommend this place. Thanks Scott and carri
We were only here for a quick overnight, but the hosts were very helpful! Great spot!
Thank you for being a part of the BW iOS app Beta Test!
If you are looking to get away to a quiet spot surrounded by farmland then this is it. We loved the spot and there was plenty of room to roam and gorgeous Mountain View’s.
Nice location, easy in & out, level grass, nice view....thanks!
Just what we were looking for! Safe, quiet, and a beautiful view. We were able to leave our motorhome and explore the area! Thanks TankBishop! Bruce and Patti
beautiful spot, so easy in and out. Second time camping here and loved it! Andrew
I stayed at Bishops in Guildhall for a week and was very happy with it! There is plenty of land, and it is pretty level. With it being so open, there was a good view of the surrounding mountains.
Wonderful location for seeing everything we came to the north country for! Level, newly cut grass field to park in. Our solar panels loved the sun! Very quiet and peaceful. The stars are amazing at night in this dark spot. I wish I could post a picture of our view so you can see how lovely it is. Close to Lancaster for shopping and dining, and The Cog Railway for a ride to the summit of Mount Washington. Also close to Franconia Notch and Lincoln for a ride up Loon Mountain on the gondola. I would LOVE to come back and stay again sometime. Thanks so much for your hospitality!
Enjoyed the briefest if stays in a wonderfully groomed and almost perfectly flat side yard between a rustic farmhouse and massive cornfield.
Never had a chance to visit with my host mostly due to the brevity of my stay (only about 12 hours overnight) but with the current COVID situation was probably for the best.
The only caveat would be cellular - this is Verizon country and if, like me, you rely on AT&T you might want to have a backup plan for this part of Vermont.
I highly recommend adding this to your list o safe, comfortable and reliable stops.
Loved the large fairly flat mowed field and the great view of the sunsets. It was my first time living only on solar power, so nothing to block the rays was perfect. (Learned I need more panels, or batteries, or something.)
A perfectly flat ,open field with spectacular views of the mountains, just outside of a beautiful , quaint, Vermont village. About 15 minutes from all the services one might need in Lancaster NH. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much!
