Residential neighborhood, off main road, good spot for overnighting, please no generators, loud music, bbq's campfires. Spot is in backyard Tow vehicles and toads can park next to rv, allow space for family members to enter and leave the premises as there are 2 cottages in back. Municipal Water through a garden hose is available to fill water tanks. Gravel driveway close to level in front of post and rail gate, or on grass in front of post and rail fence. Caution: the Parkway system in NY is for cars only, they have height restrictions and some of the bridge underpasses are as low as 7' 10", So AVOID all Parkways. Traffic during Rush Hour is terrible, expect extreme delays if traveling at those times. There are at least 2 toll bridges to get onto and off Long Island If you are mainly interested in going to NYC, then there might be better Boondocking locations in New Jersey or North of the City. Suggested Local Attractions: A lot of State Parks within 20 minute drive. NYC is 50 miles West, Local train stations are 2.5 miles south (LIRR Oakdale or Sayville) and 3 miles Northeast (LIRR Ronkonkoma) Train Station also has plenty of free parking. Montauk Point is the Eastern point on Long Island and is 75 miles East. Stores within walking distance (1/4 mile or less) Deli, Bagel, Chinese, Laundromat 15 amp available outside barn, though you will need an extension cord.
