We are located about 20 miles from Caseville. Port Austin hosts the areas largest Farmer Markets each Saturday through mid October. The Octagon Barn is a great historical attraction and hosts festivals during the summer and fall.
We had a peaceful stay and enjoyed meeting Bugman, his wife and super friendly dog Rudy. They were so kind and offered anything we might need. The driveway parking area was level and far enough from the house for privacy. Electricity was kindly offered but we were testing out our battery power and did not need it. We recommend this location and the kind hosts!
Enjoyed a short visit with Bugman when we arrived. The parking spot was a really nice and comfortable home base while we explored a great, new to us, area of Michigan. The big back yard was appreciated by our dog, who had several walks by the woods and wildflower areas.
Ricker’s Roost is a great spot! Easy pull through access and lots of room Our host was informative and friendly. 15 amp service and water available made our stay easy. Highly recommend.
Our hosts was very accommodating! Prior to our stay, he set the tone for great communication. He provided a wealth of knowledge concerning the highlights of the area. If you want to see the stars, this is the optimum place to do so. The property was very spacious with horseshoe driveway, making turn arounds easy.
What a delightful couple, Ricker's Roost. From the moment we arrived until this morning when we departed, we were treated like welcomed guest. Easy access in and out as well as a nice relatively level spot. Would highly recommend a visit here for a night or two.
