The "Mat Su Valley" is a beautiful place to visit. You can drive up into rugged mountains 45 minutes from our house. We do not have a good view, lake or river near our house. Just a quiet place to park. The best route to approach our house if from the "Parks Highway" on Vine Road to our "Foot Hills" road. Suggested Local Attractions:Alaska State Fair in August. Denali National Park two hours north. Plenty of local rivers and lakes if you have a canoe or kayak.

A life time Alaska adventurer. Details: I have lived in Alaska since 1968. I married and brought my wife to Alaska in 1975. We lived in remote Northwest Arctic Eskimo villages and raised out two children there. My wife in a retired teacher and I am a semi retired minister. We still enjoy the outdoors of Alaska and RV life in Alaska and the lower 48 states. Home Town: We live in Wasilla Alaska which has beautiful and rugged mountains and rivers surrounding it. We live a few miles off the "Parks Highway" which leads north to Denali National Park and Preserve. Favorite Boondocking Locations: Wilderness pullouts especially by water is our favorite. Skills or Expertise to Share: We have a lot of extreme and remote life experience and stories from the wilderness of Alaska. Evelyn and I have camped for a week along the world famous Iditarod Dog Race trail on the Norton Sound.

We really enjoyed our stay here, especially hearing about their Alaska adventures! They were very gracious and great communicators. Hope to see them in OH if they come to visit their cousins from our home town.
