We are 5 miles off interstate 20 near Weatherford, TX. We are about 30 minutes from downtown Ft Worth. We can put you in an area all by yourself that is not fenced or possibly up by the shop building with a 50 amp hook up. Room for a lot of rvs but only one hook up to power. You will see the big grey shop building and you can park anywhere in that area. There is a couple of acres there. Our house is next to the shop and since we just put an rv cover up on the east side of the shop no longer really room to get another rv in that way.
We are sometimers so sometimes we are home and sometimes we are in our rv. We both work from home.
Electric if needed is $5 a day but in summer we need to charge $10 a day. Generally we aren't home then for the 50 amp hookup though. Please dont use electric heaters. If you just need 15 amp we can plug you in no charge. Its super quiet out here at night and a great option rather than a Walmart parking lot. Weatherford will have all the shopping you will need. Propane is available close by.
You will need to park off the street. We are off a paved road about 5 miles off interstate 20. You will park on grassy area but its hard soil. Rocky and sandy soil in this part of the country. Off Highway 5 and I 20.
we have room for tow hitched or unhitched. We have a couple of acres. We have one 50 amp service available. Water available
We won’t be around Dec2-9 so elect hook up will not be available only space on empty acreage
Super Hosts! Super Nice! Super Friendly! Super Outgoing! Super Accommodating! Super Gracious! You won’t find finer people for sure! Had lots of interesting conversation. We’re in interesting times. Shared meals together. These are new long-term friends.
The Host location is high on a hill. It is hard packed rocked with a little soil over it. It’s almost impossible to get stuck. The grass might be slippery when wet, but you should not sink at all. We parked next to a shop with 50A power and water available. It’s solar friendly if you prefer. The neighborhood is quiet. There are no trees to worry about whether driving to or on the location.
Shopping is a breeze in the near-by metroplex (15 minutes if you drive a camel). Easy access to the Freeway (just a few miles off). Propane is available in multiple locations (although we suggest Tractor Supply and Russell Feed Stores for the current lowest price. Both charge by the gallon. Not the bottle).
Over the air TV: Point to 94°. You will get 92 channels
Verizon: No extender required. We received 2-3 bars most of the time. Host location is high on a hill.
With the Hosts OK, we would definitely stay again, and again, and again!
We had an excellent experience. We arrived late and left early, so we didn’t meet in person. But Diane was helpful with great communications including suggested local “RV friendly” routes. We really appreciated the hospitality. Highly recommend!
This location was a great stop for us to visit Dallas and Fortworth. The hosts are very friendly and the location was easy to access. It is in a nice neighborhood that allowed us plenty of room to walk our dog. We would definitely stay again if we are back in the Dallas area.
Such a friendly couple. They have a lot of space and a great view of the valley. Electric was offered. Convenient to Fort Worth and the neighboring cities. We would stop and stay again.
These amazing hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. I especially appreciated the ability to hook up to electricity, as there were a few days with temps in the 90’s. Their property is located in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with plenty of room for my large rig and easy pull thru access to the spacious site. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!!!
We are very grateful for a hosts for this stop. It was in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. We were returning home after being in the Southwest and trying to move along quickly. Keeping Social distance we were able to have a short conversation to say hello then spent a very safe quiet night before heading back to the interstate. We would stay again and hope to be able to get to know our hosts some more.
