A grassy plateau overlooking a beautiful sunset with plenty of room to stretch your legs. Pull out the awning, set up your chairs and let the pups have fun while you enjoy the fire under a starry sky.
We ask that you be respectful of our property and as you would at any site, leave no trace. We have pets and farm animals so while you are welcome to allow your furry friends to run free and enjoy our rolling 3 1/2 acres, we ask that you only do so if your animals are obedient, social and under your direct supervision. If for any reason, you are not directly observing, for the safety of your fur babies and ours, please contain/restrain.
Please note that if you would like to hook up to either water or power, we would appreciate a donation of your choosing to offset any costs - barters welcome.
This goes for use of the barn as well - bedding, grain, hay, water can be provided with adequate notice and barter/donation agreement.
We’re located just 1 mile off the main state highway that runs from the mountains to the coast, NC Hwy 64. Our road has some curves and hills but nothing too excessive and big rigs can make the turn into our driveway. You’ll have water and electric available but no sanitary facilities. We ask 2 days notice and no more than 2 nights stay. Oh and the good news, our road is only 2 miles long so if you miss the drive, no worries there’s room to turn around on both ends.
There’s plenty of room in the driveway or right beside the rig. We’ve got plenty of room to drive through or back in to our grassy area or stay on gravel if you’d prefer. We can even discuss stall space if you’d like a chance to clean out a trailer or hit some local trails.
We’re campers ourselves so feel free to check with us - plans change.

We so appreciated our overnight stay with Lynda (Shawn?) as we travelled more than 15 hours night and day enroute to our home back in Ont. They were friendly and accommodating and understood we would not be socializing. They gave priority to our dog Sonny to allow him to stretch and roam too while we set up for the night. We slept well and long on their peaceful gravel site. The site location is 5 mins away from a main highway with all the usual services. Thank you for your kindness and being a great BW host.
This stay was very nice. They have a lot of land and we had beautiful views. They were close enough to town that we were able to sightsee easily.
The family was very friendly and played with our son like he was theirs and the dogs did the same.
We had a great time.
Due to rainy weather we got stuck leaving and they hooked our truck to their tractor and pulled us out. They were very kind about it all!
We would love to come back again.
Super nice people. Very welcoming and helpful, and very peaceful setting. Thanks so much for hosting us.
