The wife and I enjoy boondocking / dispersed / dry camping and meeting people. We do indeed understand the challenges of finding a safe, legal place to stay and are glad to share our location with you!
If traveling on interstate 70, we are about 10 minutes South.
If traveling on interstate 75, we are about 30 minutes West.
We have room for several RVs but a limited number of spots if the weather does not cooperate.
Camp along the creek and listen to the water flow by near the sycamore trees. Plenty of bird, duck and occasionally a deer will pass by. As of 5/14/21, we now have creek side 30 & 15 Amp connections available! 30 amp connections are now also available for the barn drive spot. Also, a creek side spot to fill fresh water is now available.
As of 6/21/21, the new creek side patio featuring a fire ring and picnic table is finished and available for your enjoyment! The new grass has sprouted and is growing well. We also have a new swing perched above the creek to relax and unwind. More improvements on the way.
Electrical hookup requested amounts:
$5 per day for 15 Amp.
$10 per day for 30 Amp.
Arrival before dark is best, but not required. We do understand it can't be avoided sometimes . . . BUT .....
A TELEPHONE CALL 5-15 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVAL IS **GREATLY** APPRECIATED.
Quiet time is 10PM to 6AM. (Generator use is OK 24x7 if there are no other campers around)
You must remove and transport away your own trash.
The pool is not available for use due to insurance restrictions.
If your rig's jack-stands will sink into the turf, then use of some sort of device to spread out the weight is required.
Nothing illegal - Speaking of legality, this has to be stated in the world in which we live....
*Any creek or waterway presents unique hazards and Rocky Run Creek is no exception. Any activity involving the creek must be done so carefully and at your own discretion and risk.* (By requesting a stay you acknowledge and accept this hazard advisory). Now back to the fun part...
Enjoy, and give us a shout if you need anything!
The gravel driveway to the barn is used for most spots. The best flat area for an overnight stay is just outside the barn where we park our RV. We can accommodate two rigs in the barn if needed. If it is going to be rainy, then the creek side spots will not be available. We are on turf down by the creek, and its weather permitting access.
#ATTENTION Class A RVers# that are towing without the ability to back. *If* it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the barn driveway but if unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Again, only if too wet to access the creek area camp spots.
Pet owners: The "Dog off-leash area" is adjacent to roadways. There are about 4 acres of area your pet is welcome to roam, but please be advised of this hazard.
Maximum size for creek side camping is unlimited, however if the barn driveway is used, its best to be under 55 feet including tow vehicle.
We are Harvest-Hosts in addition to BW. We have space for several rigs weather depending, but electrical connection may be an issue if multiple rigs are on site.

We were greated in the driveway and guided to our spot for our stay. Curtis is very thorough and ensures that the guests are able to level and connect to shore power. He even brought us cookies. Beautiful peaceful site along a creek.
This is a wonderful place to stay and the host are wonderful!! They helped us park our coach in the rain and greeted us with some wonderful cookies.. We parked by the barn with 30amp electric and water.. We can’t say enough positive things about our experience and highly recommended a stay with them..
Our host and hostess were amazing. They went far above and beyond! They greeted us with homemade cookies. When we had issues with our A/C our host came over with his tool box and fixed it. We enjoyed relaxing around the campfire with them in the evening and sharing stories. Some of them “true”.
Thank you for an awesome stay
Jeep2liberty were lovely hosts, goi g above and beyond to make us comfortable and welcome. And the place is so beautiful and peaceful. We highly recommend them.
Such a beautiful spot in western Ohio not far from I70. Curtis and Michelle have carved out a little slice of heaven and were the most welcoming of hosts. The guest cookies were such a lovely treat!
It’s clear that after chatting with them that they are some of the kindest souls we’ve encountered on our travels and will move heaven and earth to make you feel welcome and safe.
Jeep2Liberty were wonderful hosts. They accommodated our late request even though they weren't going to be home when we arrived; talked us through parking while at a family function; came down for a visit when they got home (with cookies!) and introduced us to Boondockers Welcome (we found then on Harvest Hosts). Their backyard is beautiful as is the Ohio countryside. Thanks again!
Such gracious hosts!! The area is prepared beautifully with a new patio right on the stream. The grounds are green and neat with excellent hookup. One can sit in the swing and peacefully contemplate the beauty of nature. We loved being there. Blessed!!
If the sound of a babbling brook and the occasional flutter of bird wings bothers you , then look elsewhere. This place is beautiful and quiet. The host guided us to a spot beside the creek where they are completing a large concrete patio with a fire ring.
Getting down the slope to the creek was a piece of cake by making a sweeping circle in our rig pulling an Equinox toad. Leaving was just as easy.
Nice not to have to unhook for a one nighter.
The amenities here are more than advertised and surpassed only by the hosts. The only drawback is that you may. E nusselled to death by calico the friendly cat
Another amazing hosts and so very accommodating. A beautiful park like setting, even though because of rain, we parked in a gravel drive. Spent a lovely evening around the fire with great conversation. Thank you, hosts, and hoping our paths cross again.
Hosts are lovely people who have the gift of hospitality. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay there. It turned out to be a rainy couple of days but the host improvised and made sure we were in the best spot. They continue to add finishing touches to the nice spot they are making. Good luck to them in their endeavors and many happy trips to them also. See you down the road.
Great hosts, thank you for the cookies, the great, flat spot. We felt safe and protected! I said "just one" on the cookies and gobbled up ...uhm....4. I am back in ketosis now after some serious fasting ;-) Great meeting you!
Wonderful creek side retreat with some great hosts! Would gladly visit again. We even visited around the campfire and shared many stories. Loved it!
We loved our stay. Our hosts made sure we had what we needed. They are in process of more improvements for their guests. Currently you have an option for electric and access for water.
The cookies provided during our stay were most appreciated.
Our 40 feet of a class c and trailer found the hill at the entrance intimidating. We were uneasy that climbing out would be daunting. We watched the weather closely and managed fine. I recommend class c folks with a tow you don't want to detach, talk to the hosts to make an informed decision.
Thank you our hosts for an outstanding adventure. This was our first time staying overnight in the motorhome and could not have picked a better place to do it. The Grandkids say "A BIG Thank You!". And thank you also for the cookies. They were great.
It was nice talking with you and sharing stories.
The hosts are Camp Rocky Run were so friendly and helpful. They met us when we arrived and coached us getting our 40ft down the hill to park by their barn. They also chopped up and gifted us tiny little logs for our tiny woodstove! We couldn't have asked for kinder hosts!
I would like to start by saying that the host and his wife are great host! The spots to stay on their property are great. I didn't have a long enough power cord to stay next to the Creek so the host was gracious enough to loan me one of his. If you're into "stargazing ", this is the place to come! At night you can hear the Creek babbling and small creatures splashing around. I would highly recommend this stop to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
This was our first boondockers welcome experience and our hosts made it incredibly easy and comfortable! They assisted us in parking our rig on the gravel drive even though we arrived as the sun was setting. There was a nice big space for us to walk our two dogs. Thank you!!
Doc and I had a wonderful time on their property. It was very quiet and relaxing.. They were very helpful and accommodating. We appreciate them letting us stay on there property thank you again.
Rocky Run Camp in Eaton, Ohio is a wonderful place to stay! This was our first Boondocker stop and it did not disappoint! Our hosts gave us a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived and showed us just where to park in their gorgeous backyard. We enjoyed a fun chat around their fire pit until late in the evening. We’ll definitely return for another Boondocker’s evening when we’re back this way. Great hosts and a great place to stay. Give them a call next time you’re in the area!
Thank you both!!
Our first Boondockers Welcome site and it couldn't be a better experience. The hosts were wonderful. Felt like family. We really clicked. The spot is in their huge backyard. Plenty of room for any size rig. We are 36ft plus a jeep. We picked a place right next to the creek. Had some leveling issues but was provided blocks to help. We will be back here our next time thru.
It was a pleasure to stay here. We were on our way cross country and had a great time staying here. The hosts not only welcomed us warmly with a spot in the shade next to a creek but supplied us with electric and water. Would come back anytime. Thank you.
