The wife and I enjoy boondocking / dispersed / dry camping and meeting people. We do indeed understand the challenges of finding a safe, legal place to stay and are glad to share our location with you! If traveling on interstate 70, we are about 10 minutes South. If traveling on interstate 75, we are about 30 minutes West. We have room for several RVs but a limited number of spots if the weather does not cooperate. Including the barn drive, we have 4 30 Amp hookups, two water connections and WiFi covers the entire camp. Camp along the creek and listen to the water flow by near the sycamore trees. Plenty of bird, duck and occasionally a deer will pass by. As of 5/10/22, the barn drive spot now also has permanent 30 Amp and water connections. Requested amounts to help with expenses are: $10 per day for 30 Amp electrical $ ? Firewood - a donation 'mail-box' is on the outdoor storage cabinet. Your discretion on use vs amount :-) The water is softened well water. White tank fill only please. | | Suggested Local Attractions:United States Air Force Museum. ( 39.787, -84.110 ) 35-40 minutes Preble County Pork Festival in September. (39.737, -84.628 ) 3 minutes Preble County Fair in August. (39.737, -84.628 ) 3 minutes Adam's Rib BBQ ( 39.746, -84.644 ) 6 minutes Eaton Place Restaurant ( 39.759, -84.635 ) 7 minutes John's Tire Service (if you need any tire repairs) ( 39.743, -84.620) 3 minutes Preble County Historical Society: (39.658, -84.546) 5 minutes https://www.preblecountyhistoricalsociety.com/ There is a GeoCache on the property. Happy hunting <BW>

House Rules

Quiet time is 10PM to 6AM. (Generator use is OK 24x7 if there are no other campers around) You must remove and transport away your own trash. Water connection for 'White Tank' fill only please. The pool is not available for use due to insurance restrictions. If your rig's jack-stands will sink into the turf, then use of some sort of device to spread out the weight is required. Nothing illegal - Speaking of legality, this has to be stated in the world in which we live.... *Any creek or waterway presents unique hazards and Rocky Run Creek is no exception. Any activity involving the creek must be done so carefully and at your own discretion and risk.* (By requesting a stay you acknowledge and accept this hazard advisory). Any wading in and walking around the creek should be done in creek shoes as every once in a while a piece of glass may wash down the creek. Now back to the fun part... Enjoy, and give us a shout if you need anything!

Location

Access Road Conditions: The gravel barn driveway is used for access to all spots. We can accommodate a maximum of two guests in the barn driveway if it's too wet to park creek side. Typically in the months of January through about the end of March, it is too wet to get creek side. Lighter weight RVs are more likely to be able to use the creek side spots as conditions improve. Heavy class A RVs are typically able to get creek side about 1st of June through October. If staying in the barn drive, you will see the 30A electrical and water hookups down low just outside the West metal sliding barn door. #ATTENTION Class A RVers# that are towing without the ability to back. *If* it is too wet to access the creek side spots, we can still accommodate your stay in the barn driveway but if unable to back up with the 'toad' then a detach will be required. Pet owners: The "Dog off-leash area" is adjacent to roadways. There are about 4 acres of area your pet is welcome to roam, but please be advised of this hazard. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Maximum size for creek side camping is unlimited, however if the barn driveway is used, its best to be under 55 feet to include the tow vehicle.

The wife and I enjoy RV travel, boondocking and a sense of adventure! Details: Christian couple that enjoys traveling to see His creation. We enjoy cycling and often take the scooters or eBikes with us in the pickup truck. We have had an RV since 2019. Our unit is equipped with plenty of solar power, so we rarely ever need electrical hookups. Park us in the sunshine and we are good to go! (Yes, the air conditioning runs on solar!) We are quiet, do not smoke or drink or 'party'. Home Town: Eaton, OH Favorite Boondocking Locations: In the back yard, down by the creek or anywhere that has a nice view! Camping with the grand kids is great! Skills or Expertise to Share: Custom computer networking, routing, WiFi systems and firewall. P2P microwave and fiber transport. Electronics and security. Amateur radio. Computer programming. Curtis & Michelle Scholl cmscholl@gmail.com cell: 9376831069

We had a great 2 night stay. The communication to set things up was very thorough. They helped us understand the best options before we reserved and gave us everything we needed to get there. Curtis was there to help us get settled and he was the best host while we were there. Thank you, thank you. They have a very nice property along the creek. We would definitely stay again.
