Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostThe wife and I enjoy boondocking / dispersed / dry camping and meeting people. One of the challenges is finding a safe, legal place to stay.
It is our pleasure to share our location with you! :-)
If traveling on interstate 70, we are about 10 minutes South.
If traveling on interstate 75, we are about 30 minutes West.
We have room for several RVs in good weather but a limited number if the hill or yard is too wet.
Our electrical options are varied. New for 2021, we have a single 30 Amp connection available but it is only available in the house driveway (not on the diagram). 15 amp connections are available for the barn drive spots and can be extended to the creek side spots with a longer extension. (See the Camp Rocky Run diagram for additional detail). You will need to provide an electrical cord for the 15A connections. Select locations to fill fresh water tanks. Just ask for details if you need a water fill.
Arrival before dark is best, but not required. We do understand it can't be avoided sometimes.
A TELEPHONE CALL 5-15 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVAL IS **GREATLY** APPRECIATED.
1. Alcohol on the property is permitted but discouraged.
2. The fire ring is near the creek area. Please ask about the firewood if you want a campfire.
3. Pets on leash only. Our dog is in a fenced area away from guests. Deposits must be addressed / removed.
4. Please be respectful of others. No illegal activities.
5. Quiet time is 10PM to 6AM. (Generator use is OK 24x7 if running a quiet inverter type or on board unit)
6. You must remove and transport away your own trash.
7. The pool is not available for use due to insurance restrictions.
8. If your rig's jack-stands will sink into the turf, then please use of some sort of device to spread out the weight.
9. Enjoy! (Give us a shout if you need anything)
The gravel driveway to the barn is used for most spots. The best flat area for an overnight stay is just outside the barn (where we park our RV). We do have overflow spots, but some do not have electricity available. The overflow areas would be good for an overnight park. If it is going to be rainy, then the creek side spots may not be available as we don't want anyone stuck in the yard. Venture to guess you don't want to be stuck either !
Plenty of room to park.
We are Harvest-Hosts in addition to BW. We have space for several rigs weather depending, but electrical connection may be an issue if multiple rigs are on site.

I would like to start by saying that the host and his wife are great host! The spots to stay on their property are great. I didn't have a long enough power cord to stay next to the Creek so the host was gracious enough to loan me one of his. If you're into "stargazing ", this is the place to come! At night you can hear the Creek babbling and small creatures splashing around. I would highly recommend this stop to anyone looking for peace and quiet.
This was our first boondockers welcome experience and our hosts made it incredibly easy and comfortable! They assisted us in parking our rig on the gravel drive even though we arrived as the sun was setting. There was a nice big space for us to walk our two dogs. Thank you!!
Doc and I had a wonderful time on their property. It was very quiet and relaxing.. They were very helpful and accommodating. We appreciate them letting us stay on there property thank you again.
Rocky Run Camp in Eaton, Ohio is a wonderful place to stay! This was our first Boondocker stop and it did not disappoint! Our hosts gave us a warm and friendly welcome when we arrived and showed us just where to park in their gorgeous backyard. We enjoyed a fun chat around their fire pit until late in the evening. We’ll definitely return for another Boondocker’s evening when we’re back this way. Great hosts and a great place to stay. Give them a call next time you’re in the area!
Thank you both!!
Our first Boondockers Welcome site and it couldn't be a better experience. The hosts were wonderful. Felt like family. We really clicked. The spot is in their huge backyard. Plenty of room for any size rig. We are 36ft plus a jeep. We picked a place right next to the creek. Had some leveling issues but was provided blocks to help. We will be back here our next time thru.
It was a pleasure to stay here. We were on our way cross country and had a great time staying here. The hosts not only welcomed us warmly with a spot in the shade next to a creek but supplied us with electric and water. Would come back anytime. Thank you.
