West side of Winnipeg close to Perimeter Hwy, Hwy 1 (TransCanada), shopping and all services including RV wash, and propane fill. Steps from the Harte trail for walking or biking. Trail goes directly to Assiniboine Park/Forest and Zoo and beyond. Close to provincial park (just west of here) and also to one of the 2 best dog parks in the city. You’d be staying on my driveway in front of the house in a residential neighborhood. This is more of a place to get rest and solid sleep rather than enjoy camp out activities right outside your rig. Depending on the season and my availability I may be able to offer you a couple of bicycles to borrow to enjoy the area as well as use of my back yard for BBQ/relaxation, water hook up and 30 Amp electrical.
No smoking cigarettes or marijuana anywhere on the property. No conspicuous alcohol consumption. Dogs are welcome to use the large, fully fenced backyard off leash with guest supervision. No generators after 10 pm. Guests can dispose of recyclables in city blue bin on driveway. Let me know if you have refuse/garbage or toxic/dangerous goods you need to dispose of and I will help you out with that as well.
Paved street. Paved driveway.
No height restriction.
On driveway with rig and on street. No time limit on street parking for tow vehicle.
Assiniboine Park/Forest and Zoo. Downtown are the Forks, (National) Human Rights Museum, Art Gallery and other Winnipeg attractions. Not far from me is Fort Whyte outdoor centre where you can catch a glimpse of a huge variety of birds including great owls (you can hear them hooting at night in my neighbourhood) and even Bald Eagles. There is a lake and fishing (including ice fishing) along with equipment rental if you don’t have a pole. To the north of the city are lakes, beaches and outdoor attractions. Watch Pelicans land on the river in Lockport, and don’t forget to enjoy smoked Goldeye (fish). In the summer there is Folklorama, Goldeye (local baseball team) games, the huge Folk Festival in Birds Hill park and so much more.
