Friendly small town
Fernie RVers kept checking with us and giving road & weather updates while we were trying to get some emergency repairs done at Pincher Creek, Alberta, then get across the Crowsnest Pass to them before the weather got worse. Did extra snow plowing in case we got there early, etc. Greeted us on arrival, helped us back into their driveway off the old highway. Visited outside in the cold due to Covid-19, and it was a great visit. Found our USA boondocking experiences overlap.
Then they helped us by locating a place we could dump our tanks...not an easy job in December in Western Canada!
Helped with guidance over driving the next two mountain passes. All invaluable to us, who have never travelled BC in the winter, let alone in a motorcoach.
Another top score for Boondockers Welcome hosts!
Hope to see them again, maybe even in Arizona.
We really enjoyed our one night stay in this beautiful town. Our host's spot was quiet and we had a lovely view of the mtns.
Our hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful - would love to have talked more with them about their lives in the interior.
Keith and Robyn
Wonderful stay and wonderful hosts! Communication was quick and the spot was very easy to get into. A quiet street and perfect basecamp for your fernie adventures. Would definitely stay again! Thank you hosts!
Gene and Sandra are simply lovely! We enjoyed our conversations with them and had they were extremely welcoming to us and our two dogs. If we were ever in Fernie again we would absolutely come back!
Right under the GhostRider! What a relaxing spot to park our "rig", and the hosts were So amiable and accommodating. You just can't go wrong here. Wonderful setting, biking and walking trails galore. Highly recommended!
