Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are a 17 acre campus on the edge of Pittsboro, NC. We are the home of the Fair Game Beverage Company, a craft distillery. And we are home to Chatham Cider Works--they make hard apple cider. And we are the home of Starrlight Mead--making honey into wine. Two tasting rooms, a farm onsite with a kitchen/resturant, several hemp shops--ax throwing coming soon!
We want you to be our customers. Join us. Come taste the spirits. If you like them, buy some bottles to take with you. Try the ciders. We are a cider bar, with bottles to go. Sample the mead, load up for the next segment of your trip.
We are one big circle driveway. No need to reverse. No tight corners. No low hanging trees required. We do have a handful of brand new asphalt spaces out front. Please don't use them. We share them with the neighbors and 40 foot rigs make them cranky. Pull on in and find a grassy spot. Or a gravel spot. Lots of places for RVs to park.
Next to the rig, elsewhere on the property--lots of room to park.
This was my first stay in my new camper and really enjoyed the area. Was able to buy some wine, ate a good meal at the restaurant and took home some elderberrry syrup. The others that stayed close to us were very friendly and the last night, I heard the coyotes singing very close by. Thanks for the stay!
I came with my dad that was trying out his camper for the first time and I didn't want to get far from home in case things didn't go as planned. Neighboring campers helped dad find out how to turn on his lights and heat which made the evening go much better. We toured the little community and bought a few bottles of wine and elderberry that I had been looking for. I enjoyed the view next to the pond and loved the rain hitting the roof all night. It was cold in the morning but the sun was shining! Thank you for allowing us to stay! We really enjoyed the stay.
This is a great place to visit. The shops and distilleries were outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a very quiet, peaceful night. Thank you for your hospitality.
Great place to stop. Very friendly hosts, wonderful and unique food and drinks.
we arrived around 230. Was instructed where to park. Then spent the rest of the afternoon taste testing some of the best wine. Thank you soo much for not only a great quiet place to stay, but a very nice relaxing afternoon.
Large area in which to park very near several different businesses. The candied JalapeƱos are delicious, and the variety of beers and wines from North Carolina is huge. I would stay here again. Thanks so much.
This is a beautiful place to stay. I arrived few minutes after closing but there was still a few guests hanging out. So the staff let me do a quick sample of rum and buy some cider. The staff was very inviting.
This was my first time using Boondockers and I had a great experience. They responded quickly to a same day request. It was a beautiful area that made it easy to relax. Lots of sounds of nature. I sampled all of their ciders and wines before buying a few bottles. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
What a great place
Great people
Quiet at night
Birds during the day
I will definitely come back
We were visiting a cousin in Raleigh but he didn't have a driveway for us to stay in, so we looked around. It was only about a 25 minute drive so we opted to stay here. They were very accommodating in allowing us to stay 3 nights. We arrived a little later in the afternoon and the grassy spot near the front was already occupied by a Harvest Hosts member. So we opted to park in the back on the gravel. It took a bit of work to get level with our 42ft 5th wheel since the gravel slopes down to the garden, but it wasn't that bad.
There's a pond right next to the parking with frogs and bugs that make for very nice white noise at night. Would definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area.
Tasting is closed for the time being. We bought a bottle of cider and one of the apple brandy. Both were outstanding. Would really love to see this place on a busy spring evening.
There is plenty of room to maneuver on gravel or grass sites. I enjoyed the distillery atmosphere where I chatted with very friendly bar keep and locals while enjoying flavorful drinks. Hope to get back to this site again someday.
