We have a wooded 5 acres accessed by a 450' driveway. Parking along the driveway will work out well. Backing up to a position perpendicular to the driveway is probably the best option. This would be onto a grassy area. We also have a paved area that would allow parking a smaller (15' or pop-up).

House Rules

Generators are no problem as long as they are of the quiet type that we have experienced at many campgrounds. We would prefer that they do not run all night. We are flexible about arrival and departure times, and can work that out once we have been contacted. We might ask you to join us for a meal. We are vegetarians, but we are great cooks, if I say so myself.

Access Road Conditions

We live on a mountain top with approaches from two directions, both of which are quite steep. From the North, there is a railroad bridge that includes a steep approach and a turn onto the bridge. We have no problem with our 15' trailer towed behind a Ford 150, and I suspect that up to a 25' trailer and tow vehicle would be OK. The other approach is very steep and winding, but should not be a problem for the same sized trailer and tow vehicle.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

We have a paved driveway with parking for several vehicles. We have no problem moving our 15 foot trailer towed behind our F150. Also, for slightly larger vehicles, or for those not as comfortable maneuvering their trailer, we can also use the lawn next to our driveway.. For smaller RV, there should be no problems. Our driveway is long and straight, so if a back-out was necessary for some reason, it would not be too technical

It is hard to say when best to visit. Take a shot and get in touch with us. We will always try to accomodate you. We also belong to an organization called Warmshowers which allows us to host bicycle tourists, so we have some experience with this sort of thing.

Suggested Local Attractions

We are located near the Delaware Water Gap and the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania. Easton, PA is located about 10 miles west of us and is a restaurant destination. Bethlehem PA is located about 30 miles west, and is a beautiful historic city with great restaurants and a live music culture. New York City is about 65 miles due east of us. Philadelphia is about 80 miles South. This is NJ, but this area is a beautiful and historic part of the state. For those who have a preconceived image of what NJ is like, we are quite sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Wonderful Hometown Visit

Having grown up in their town it was awesome to stay with our hosts. R&J are absolutely 2 of the most warm and hospitable people we’ve stayed with. The communication was perfect and their home was beautiful, secluded and quiet. We were welcomed with easy conversation and spent the evening chatting over a shared bottle of wine paired with great cheeses and fruit. They insisted on having us in for breakfast the next morning which included authentic NJ bagels and homemade blueberry jam. Could have stayed a week and never run out of things to talk about. Definitely will be back and hope to meet up whenever they’re visiting friends who live near us. 2 very big thumbs up for these wonderful people!

Serene Forest Escape

Although we were unable to meet rgrade, they were wonderful hosts! They made sure we were set up, answered any questions we had over text, and offered fresh tomatoes from their garden. It was a quiet and safe place to rest, and it was much appreciated. Our only negative was not being able to share a meal together ;). Highly recommend!

Wonderful Hosts!

The hosts provided a driveway spot in a semi-rural area close to town, offering 15A electric and water if necessary. Very friendly longtime residents of the area, they provided useful information for our stay and future travels. We were able to share a couple of meals during our stay with good food and converation. We would go out of our way to stay there again.

Great people and a lovely spot

We had a wonderful experience at Stone Row. Our hosts were so very hospitable! We were lucky to be invited to share a delicious meal that they prepared, which included home made pasta! We thoroughly enjoyed talking with them and would love to go back some time. They also were happy to host our dogs. Their dog is a peach.
