Description

This site is what boondocking is all about. Very quiet, shaded, and secluded spot, surrounded by hundreds of undeveloped acres and no street lights. The site pad is gravel and measures 20' X 40'.

House Rules

Keep the gate locked and please be considerate of the folks that live along Shoup Rd. by driving slow to prevent dust. No smoking within 200' of Gas Wells. Hike at your own risk. Firewood usually provided or gather anything off forest floor. Do not burn plastic in the fire pit or leave any trash. Water tank fill-up available at my residence.

Access Road Conditions

Shoup Rd. will turn into a one lane private gravel road. Continue 3 tenths mile on that gravel road and there will be one short steep hill with a gradual turn to the right. (Not good for large 5th wheel or travel trailers). Continue until the road ends at the green Penneco Oil Co Gate #2. The gate will probably be locked so there will be a key on a table on my front porch. Please lock gate after passing through. You may keep the key until your departure, just don't forget to leave it on the porch. Continue 3 tenths mile on this road to camp site. (no camping at Gas Well grassy sites) This is a flat solid road and all limbs and brush have been cleared so no worries about scratching your unit. Best RV for this site is a small motorhome.

Tow Vehicle Parking Details

Opposite side of road is a pull-off spot.
