There is a large Jellystone park about 2 miles from us and Fremont has several other campgrounds nearby along with boat rentals and boat landings. Our son, Tim, has opened a welding business here using our farm buildings, specializing in aluminum and SS along with steel. He has a mobile rig and has done much work on docks and boats. Our homesite has large grassy area with water and electricity (15, 30 and 50 amp at different sites around our buildings (for electric and water hookups). We are located about 3 miles off a major 4 lane highway and 2 miles from a small town. We have a 2+ acre pond, stocked, with a firepit--your chairs--firewood available. Also, lots of deer, Canada geese, turkeys and other wildlife. Suggested Local Attractions:So bring your boat and enjoy fishing. Sand bottom swimming areas too. Location

Access Road Conditions: Roads leading to our place are all hard surfaced and our drives are rocked and solid. Turn arounds are possible especially if it hasn't rained hard recently. If conditions are wet, turn arounds are restricted to rocked areas in our buildings. All camper parking areas are graveled and safe even if wet. No worry about hitting trees, even in the partially shaded areas. Tow Vehicle Parking Details: Several acres of open grassland that we keep mowed with quick access to paved county roads. It's all pretty level around our place with gravel drive ways. There is ample space for tow vehicle parking.

Age:

65+

Married, retired, couple living in the county in Winnebago, Wisconsin Details: Lifelong campers with a 29ft. 5th wheel at present. We've lived here just shy of 40 years and look forward to meeting other campers of any age. I've worked here in the paper industry making toilet paper and have traveled a lot around the world but now have stopped that kind of work. My wife, Beth worked at home, raising our kids, and supported the local library started by her parents many years ago. Our son, Tim, has opened a welding business here using our farm buildings, specializing in aluminum and SS along with steel. He has a mobile rig and has done much work on docks and boats. Our homesite has large grassy area with water and electricity (15, 30 and 50 amp at different sites around our buildings. Also, lots of deer, Canada geese, turkeys and other wildlife. Home Town: We live near Fremont, Wisconsin about 2 miles out of town and about a mile from the Wolf River--white bass capital of the world! Fremont has about 600 residents, a nice library, several bars and restaurants for very reasonable prices and great food. We're about 24 miles west of Appleton, 30 NW from Oshkosh and the EAA, 15 miles east of Waupaca and 7 miles east of Weyauwega. There is a large former Jellystone park about 1 mile from us and Fremont has several other campgrounds nearby along with boat rentals and boat landings. So bring your boat and enjoy fishing. Sand bottom swimming areas too. Award winning Webfooter water ski shows Wednedays and Sundays. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We like boondocking in Utah, Walmarts, and just about any place we won't get stuck in some mud. Skills or Expertise to Share: Welding and some camper repairs are available on site. If you want some aluminum fabrication, Tim can handle that.

I was very fortunate to have this host as my first time to try it out. Now the bar is raised. Bonus as to what to do in the area was communicated too. It was a special event on a near river. They know the area well.

Steve and Beth are fantastic hosts! We really appreciate having utilities and their help getting parked etc. Beautiful, Peaceful, quiet and a great area to visit. We love watching the geese land on the pond and the deer in the fields. Funefarmer Pond is a great stop.

Steve and Beth are so welcoming. We told them our ETA and they were by the entrance ready to greet us. We first filled our water tank near the house then they showed us where to park on their large farm property. The area we parked was on level grass next to the barn with electric hookup. It was a private and peaceful spot. Thank you for opening your property for the great overnight stay! Also, thank you for all the intel on things to do and see in the area. We enjoyed meeting you and our conversations. Look forward to seeing you again next time we are driving through.
