Our 8 acre parcel in rural north Florida is just a part of 160 acres that has been in the family since great grandparents homesteaded in the late 1800's. The area has multiple natural springs where Manatees live year round. . The famous Suwannee River is just a few minute drive and the Gulf of Mexico is a pleasant drive. This is not the Florida of white sand beaches and palm trees, but it is full of old Florida nature and southern charm. The area is called the Nature Coast for a reason, as there's plenty of outdoor activities available:: fishing, Kayaking, bird and Manatee watching, and biking.
We consider ourselves "Sunbirds" as we follow the "Snowbirds" north to cooler temps for the summer, but we do wait a few months because, you know. 70 is cold for us "Sunbirds".
Rules... we're all adults but there are a few.
Drinking adult beverage is permitted but as long as there's no rowdy behavior.
Would prefer no smoking, but if you do please keep it inside your rig.
Pets are fine. They do need to be leashed and not aggressive towards other dogs or cats. We have a dog and cat and would hate to see anything happen to them. Oh, pick up the poop!
Paved road to the house. Driveway is wide with hard packed dirt. Tree canopy is high, our rig is 13.5' tall and clears.
TV can park with their RV.

We had a nice quiet evening and slept well after having the opportunity to see this couple again. It was nice getting to see this couple again and stay at their Old Homestead. We look forward to staying with them again in the future when we travel Westward in a few months.
This was our second stop at The Old Homestead. We felt very welcome at their beautiful property and had a wonderful night sleep
This was our very first boondocking experience. We spoke with our host through Boondockers Welcome and by phone. They sent us great directions, and when we arrived, made us feel very welcome. The Old Homestead property is beautiful. We were welcomed back on our way back home. Thank you for a great night's sleep.
This was our first BW experience, and we had a wonderful time. Nice people, great surroundings. Thanks So much
