Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are a few minutes to the shore of Medina Lake and 35 minutes to San Antonio. We’re in the hill country. We have walking trails on our property.
Our property is rural, with a dirt driveway, and uneven and some steep grade.
We are a family of 5. We homeschool and also have our work office on our property.
Friendly pets are welcome on a leash.
Clean up after your pets and children please.
Watch your children.
Clean up your trash, and everything you use.
No smoking or drinking on the property, you’re welcome to drink in your RV of course.
The property is gated, so let us know when you’re going to arrive, so we can let you in.
You may ask for extra nights, if we’re able to host you longer, we will let you know.
You’re welcome to do laundry when we’re home.
It is a gravel driveway, part of it is steep, some tight corners.
If your RV has low ground clearance, you might not be able to enter our driveway without bottoming out.
If you have a trailer or fifth wheel, four wheel drive is recommended because you may lose traction on the steepest part of the driveway, specially if it has rained.
Motor home might struggle with traction if it rains.
You will be parking between a tree and a metal shipping container. Once you’re in and situated, you should have plenty of room. For longer RVs it might be tricky to back into the space if you don’t have a lot of experience.
You can park next to the rig. There’s plenty of room to park your vehicle.
Feel free to request to stay longer if we don’t have anyone else staying, you may stay longer.
If we’re home, you may do laundry at our house.

Our host was very friendly and helpful. Pretty quiet place.
Such a wonderful stay! The whole family was kind and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again if in the area!
Enjoyed our stay in this natural environment. We will definitely come back. Sorry we weren’t able to meet Byrnes family, Amenities were not used but grateful for the availability. Pad site was a perfect fit for our 25’ Motorhome. Even had a spot for our toad. Thank you so much for letting us stay.
We didn’t get to meet the hosts as our stay corresponded to their travels, but they communicated very well and were very generous. The property is very pretty and we saw a lot of deer, including a six and an eight point. Thanks again to the hosts!
This place was amazing! The hosts weren’t home during our stay but they checked in with us to make sure we were ok. I loved the location. It felt very remote even though it really wasn’t. We had full hookups too. We did use 4WD but had zero problems getting to the site and getting our trailer backed into the site. We visited friends in San Antonio and felt perfectly safe leaving the camper there overnight. It was gated too.
This was such a great spot and convenient location for our slow travel trip across the country. Not only were you able to help with hookups, but helped fix a small problem we had on the rig. You guys are great. Stay safe and we hope to see you out on the road.
Great spot for an overnighter. Very nice host. Highly recommend 👌
Friendly host. Generous with hook ups. We were wooped and didn't interact much, but seem like a nice family. Approach is kind of rough, and parkingis tight. But we had enough room and managed in our 26' class C.
Another wonderful host. Easy. Helpful and very kind. Was able to fill up water. Empty the rest. Wifi. Caught up. And enjoyed the lake. The Medina dam. Peace on earth
Hill country beauty with full hook-ups is great, but what was even more perfect was our host family.
We had such a great time enjoying dinner outside and trampoline fun with the kids!
Memories were wonderful and though we had to change our stay we were so thankful for the warm and inviting home away from home and the time together.
Safe travels family, do visit us in New England when there is no snow :).
What a great family and so very kind. I felt part of the family and was provided with full hookups.
This was a great place to relax! And with full hookups. A wonderful family that we truly enjoyed their travel tips and information. They couldn’t have been nicer. Thanks!!!
The driveway is steep, but no problem for my 30 foot Class A. Great spot with full hook ups, and WiFi!
This is an amazing place to stay. The host were wonderful and gave us maps and directions to hike in this beautiful setting. We enjoyed our coffee while watching a family of deer grazing. 💕
We had a great time with the Byrnes Family. They were super accommodating and wonderful hosts. We enjoyed getting to you know both!
We are so grateful to have crossed paths with these amazing BW hosts. It was a breath of fresh air when arriving at the Byrnesfamily beautiful homestead; they provided us with an electrical hookup, fresh water and a dump station. They have been overly accommodating and always made sure we had everything we needed.
Located about 40 minutes from San Antonio, this was the perfect get away from city life. They had plenty of land, walking trails and with a short walk- a beautiful view of Medina lake! We felt very safe and even got to let our kitties get some some exploring time in everyday. 😻 There is an awesome fresh produce place called the Bandera Produce Market about a 5 minute drive away that provided us with good eats for the week! We wish you guys the best of luck and very safe travels on your journey around the States. Thank you so much!! 😊
Love going down a country road to a dead end then get to pass into peace and quiet.
Great spot back to the land feel.
Wish we had gotten there earlier to take it in. Will need to plan that the next time we cross this way.
Lovely host family.
The Byrnes family were very welcoming and nice. We had a very short stay but wish to had stayed longer to get to know them.
We wish them a wonderful travel across US!
Our stay with the Byrne family was so wonderful. They were amazingly hospitable. We were able to hook up to water, electricity, and a RV dump. WiFi also was available. San Antonio attractions were about a 40 minute drive away. Great place!
We had a great time with the family of Brisa and Danny.
The location to put the trailer is well prepared to receive us and offers us all the services.
Our children were able to play together, it was a wonderful moment.
Thank you and I hope to see them again one day.
What a great location in the rolling hills of Lakeland. Super 5 acres to explore as well as the nearby lake.
Host was great and showed us around his evolving and very interesting property. Really appreciated the water, electric, sewer and excellent wifi hook up.
An Ideal spot for our 23’ RV. Highly recommended.
A lovely family with a PLAN for exploring their country, and really nice pumpkin cookies!
Power, water, dump and quiet with deer wandering through. Ticks all the boxes...thank you!
We had a great time at the Byrnes family’s property! They are the most friendly helpful people!!! We had full hookups. We loved hiking on their trails and the view of the lake. We have a 29ft travel trailer and it was challenging getting in and out but not impossible. Would probably recommend to have a shorter rig if you want to stay here. We were able to get our 1 slide out. We would probably recommend have a 4x4 because their driveway is pretty rocky especially if you have the trailer. Overall though, we had a great time!!
