We consider ourselves in the country, but only 5 minutes from the nearest grocery store. We have 1.8 acres of land that backs up to a horse farm. We own a landscaping business and have several trailers already parked on the property. It is all flat. The most difficult part will be navigating through the driving gate. Once in the back yard it is very easy to maneuver around. If unable to get through the gate you can park in the front yard and still have plenty of room.
We have 2 dogs that are under 25 pounds, they can be noisy but they stay inside unless we are home.
Have common courtesy after 10pm, generators may be allowed to run but please refrain from loud parties. We also have neighbors that have horses, so loud sudden noises (such as fireworks) are not appreciated.
Off a main country road, only 2 miles from 131. There is a fence separating the front and back of the property, there is a drive through gate that is 10 feet wide, once you arrive we can help to get you through the gate to the wide open back yard. Once the rig is set, your towing vehicle can be parked in the grass in the front yard.
Almost anywhere on the property, either next to the rig or at the front of the house.
Several bars within 5-10 minute drive. Downtown Kalamazoo is a 15 minute drive. Western Michigan University's campus is also 15 minutes away. We can get you a list of places we recommend for food and/or drink and where to park downtown. We love this area and hope that you will too!
The location was a large semi-private backyard with plenty of space. Amazingly quiet and beautiful. Hosts were quick to respond and friendly. I would absolutely stay again.
Great, helpful hosts. We traded Michigan green beans for SC peaches! Lots of room to turn around and level land. Bring a 100' extension cord and you'll have a lot of flexibility on where to park your rig. Plenty of space for walking dogs. A+.
