House Rules

Quiet time after 10pm, please. We do have water for filling your tanks available where you park - we prefer for it not to be on at all times. Only park in the gravel area behind our barn. Do not park in the street. We have space for one rig and one vehicle.

Location

Please see photos for parking map - you may back into gated gravel area behind barn or pull in through the grass off of Rt 30 gate access. In order to back a travel trailer, it is best to turn onto Rochester Road from Rt 30, then turn right onto Canal Street and follow it around. Travel trailers: you will possibly need to unhook and park your tow vehicle outside of the fenced area. We are so happy to offer you this spot. We have been offered much when we travel. Large rigs need to be sure to slow down in plenty of time to make the turn from Rt 30 - it comes up quickly. We strongly recommend arriving before dark, as there is no direct lighting for the parking area.

Campervan couple and our pups. We are a family of two nature enthusiasts who love to travel and meet friends. We enjoy hiking, biking and campervan life. We have 2 dogs, approximately 14 pounds, that travel with us. We are RNs that love to live life to the fullest. Our small "homestead" of less than 2 acres boasts a garden, chickens and honey bees. We are grateful to have the ability to explore the country, nature and meet people. Home Town: East Rochester, Ohio Skills or Expertise to Share: We love gardening, raising chickens and honey bees. If we are hosting you, we are able to try and help with any technical difficulties you may have.

Dee came out to greet & help me hook up. She closed the large gate for security. Felt like an honored guest arriving. Hope to return 1 day.

Josh was a wonderful host. He has a very nice garden with a firepit next to the site. A nice quiet place to stay.

Communication before our arrival was excellent. Even being that close to a major road it was very quiet and peaceful. The hosts were very helpful and a joy to talk to. Wish we had more time.

Dee and Josh were our first ever BW stay. They set the bar so high we returned again a year later. Without question their homestead is the kindest and most peaceful stay on our books. You will never meet better people or eat better honey.

We loved stopping here! So beautiful and our hosts communicated beautifully and have everything we could have needed and our overnight was great! They make their own homemade honey and we we thrilled to purchase a large jar to take on our trip!
