There's a large parking lot, waiting for boondockers to make themselves at home. We ask large rigs to use pads for their jacks to protect older asphalt. Large grass lawn for pets to roam off leash, at your own risk, as long as you clean up after them. Across the street is a softball field, as well as the largest park in town - Rotary Park. Rotary Park includes bathrooms, dog park, skateboard park, beach on the river, boat ramp, and sand volleyball.
We welcome Boondockers all week long, but we ask that, if you are planning on staying through Sunday morning, you park in the lower parking lot, closer to the road. We appreciate your help in this matter.
We would love to meet each and everyone one in this awesome community, but unfortunately, the shear volume makes it difficult. If you need anything during your stay, don't hesitate to reach out. Please know that we are thrilled to host you.
ONE 50amp electrical hookup is available at the bottom of the GracePoint sign. First come, first serve. If you wish to use it, message us once you get on-site to get the location of the adapter. Please put the adapter back when you are done so we don't have to bill anyone. We understand that power is ideal to have and we'd love to provide for everyone, but we want to offer what we can. If you have some water or power emergency, let us know and we'll do what we can to help.
While we sincerely wish we could meet each and every one of the awesome Boondocker community, the high volume of the requests and our high volume of acceptance makes this pretty challenging. To limit the number of the guests to those we could personally greet would limit our access to the BW community. We've chosen to host as many as we possibly can and hope you understand if we can't greet each amazing Boondocker as we wish we could.
No smoking on property. Pick up after your pets and yourself. Have fun!!
If staying through Sunday morning, please set up in lower parking lot by road.
We've hosted over 50 times, and each one has been awesome, so let's keep it good for everyone else!
Large parking lot available off main road. Recommend entering on South Street, not Main Street. Main Street will necessitate a hard left hand turn.
It's a large parking lot with separate entrances and exits
We won't always be able to meet you in person, but we're thrilled to host travelers going through, or vacationers looking to spend some time in southern Maine. It's a beautiful spot! We can typically accommodate last-minute requests and can host several campers at a time.
Restaurants - Palace Diner (cash only for the best fried chicken sandwich in the world), Run of the Mill, Mike's Diner (Arundel), Cowbell (burger place), Merriland Farm in Wells (breakfast/lunch in farm setting), Wells Steakhouse
Coffee Shops - Elements Coffee Shop, CIA (Saco), Quiero Cafe, and the New England favorite, Dunkin Donuts (everywhere)
Beaches - everywhere! Biddeford Pool is a local favorite
We stayed in our 41’ class A with tow vehicle for one night. Reservation request was responded to quickly and communication was very good. We were able to use the 50 amp which was a blessing. There was a lovely man in a class A using the the 20amp which we parked next to. Although the large lot is mostly sloped, the area to park for electric wasn’t bad. It’s a busy street but not so noisy that it disturbed our sleep. We asked the business across the street for permission to drive through their lot to make our exit onto Main Street much easier.
We were here for 2 nights and were comfortable between jaunts around portland. Bring a long extension cord.
We stayed here for 5 days & had a great time! We got to meet some great friends in this parking lot! Host was very nice & hospitable - we would definitely stay here again!
When we got there, the recommended spot to park was full so we parked where we were hoping to be out of the way for church guest parking on Sunday. It ended up being perfect! 😊
There was a fundraiser run while we were there and everyone was super nice and even offered us a pancake breakfast. Church service was wonderful as well and this is where we got to meet the host as well as other friendly church members. We were welcomed with smiles and friendly conversation.
Just a note, of the spots by the sign are full, the parking lot is sloped just a bit but we had no issues leveling up.
We had a great stay here.
Large well lit parking lot and guilt after 9PM. We were fortunate enough to be able to use 30A electric.
4 rigs were there with us.
Met the Pastor on Sunday after Services. Will come back someday !
Sometimes RVers just need a place to spend the night. Easy access, plenty of room, a large grassy area to walk the dogs and a feeling of safety. Thanks for having us!
Great location for rising the Eastern Trail or to visit local beaches. Biddeford Pool is less than 10 minutes away and is a beautiful visit.
Slight slope to large parking lot. Convenient location.
The Grace Point Church host site is a large parking lot, mostly nice and level. It is quite large, and a number of other travelers were already there when I showed up. I was struck by how quiet the neighborhood was, and had a peaceful night there. I didn’t get to meet the pastor, it was getting late when I arrived, and I had to leave early to get a tire puncture repaired. A number of the other travelers told me what a nice man he is.
This was a great place to stay as we explored the area!
We had a great stay here and met some fun fellow travelers. Thank you for opening your place for travelers.
Perfect for our first Boondockers Welcome! This was a short 3 night stop to visit friends on our way up to Acadia. This was exactly what we needed! And good practice for longer Boondocking trips we plan to do out West.
Thanks for the info on not making that hard left off Main Street just incase our GPS did try to send us that way.
Also anyone who’s gps tells them take main st to my pleasant (like ours did) there is no reason you can’t go route 1 directly to south street. We don’t know why our rv gps and trip wizard made us zig zag through a residential road. Either way is fine but leaving much much easier to make the left off of south st onto route 1.
Thanks for a great stay! It was safe and nice to have other campers. Plenty of room to spread out along the perimeter and have your own space. Thanks for allowing generators too. We are spread out enough you never even hear each other’s running. The road is a bit busy during the day but gets much quieter at night. Nice and close to plenty of activities and businesses for whatever you need. Communication from the host was terrific! Thanks again for sharing your space with us! It is greatly appreciated!
I had a few little details to take care of and it was very easy to communicate with this host and they were very flexible with my needs. I would go back there at any time
I wanted somewhere safe to stay for the nite and this was it. I was not only one here there were 3 others. I would highly recommend this place!
We had a wonderful stay here. Stayed for four days and explored the area. We met the host as he greeted us the day we arrived and a Very pleasant person. The area we stayed was in the church parking lot. Was easy to level and easy to connect to the electric. Pretty close to everything around and there’s a store across the street with pretty good sandwiches. We would love to stay again when in the area. 🤙🏻
Good stop. Nice big parking lot and close to parks, hiking and restaurants. A bit of road noise, but not too bad at night. We couldn't get good cell service with Verizon even with the booster. They were kind enough to let us use the church's wifi which was fine for getting emails and such.
There were several other campers here which makes me feel comfortable that there’s more than one or two of us.
Everybody was quiet and respectful. Very nice place to stay.
The host was very responsive and answering questions
Stayed here one night. Huge parking lot, easily accessible with a large park right across the street.
This was a nice spot to stay for the night as we make our way along the coast. Very large parking lot, though much of it was sloped. We were able to find a mostly level spot away from the road and enjoyed a nice, quiet and rainy evening here. A few cars came by in the evening (maybe for a meeting?) and another couple RVs showed up, but we hardly noticed. There was some road noise during the day but it tapered off in the evening. Would definitely recommend.
I had a very nice, and peaceful stay and got a chance to attend one of their services. The staff was very friendly and the location was great for visiting many coastal towns in the area. If you have a bike, the East Trail is very close to the church.
Thank you very much for the hospitality!
This was our second time visiting Grace Point. We used this stay for resting as we travel south. We were blessed with the opportunity to have electricity and a nice level parking area. Thank you!
What a terrific spot and host, whom we were delighted to meet just before we left. Loved his good vibes, and wished we could have stayed for the Sunday morning service! We didn't really need electric so we left it for others, and parked along the treeline in the lower lot where we had shade. Had a bit of trouble leveling at first . When we left, there were 3 more campers there.
it was close and easy to tour N toward Saco and S to Kennybunkport..
Filled up two long days with no problem. lobster cooked for a picnic at Three Seas Fish and Lobster at KBPT
swam laps at Barkers Pond too! Don't miss the interesting Factory History display at Pepperell Mills!
Hope to see Andrew and his family in Florida one day. Host this fine guy and his family!
We stayed here overnight, and it was the perfect stopover. Plenty of space with a large field to walk the dogs. The traffic was a little noisy, but it got better at night. There is also a great little sandwich shop across the street.
This is a large parking lot at a small church. We were able to hookup to 30amp which was definitely a must while we were there. The beaches are 20-30 minutes away for reference but are worth the drive. Ogunquit beach is a must see but get there before parking fills up around 9:30. We stayed for service and everyone at church was very friendly.
Easy to find, and park. We just stayed for a quick overnight but it worked well. Thank you!!
Host was gracious about my ate arrival. There were several other RVs in the large parking lot when we arrived. Convient stop headed to Acadia NP. Thank you!
This is a great location to access the Eastern Trail for bike riding. It is a road section of the Trail, but there are sidewalks until you reach the gravel path (about 2 1/2 miles). If you're not a bike rider, there are beaches, plenty of restaurants and breweries with a few miles. Large paved lot with several areas that are fairly level. The availability of power is a huge plus. We were able to meet the Pastor. He is extremely friendly. We will definitely be back when we head through the area.
Grace Point Church was a great host! He was only a text message away should we have needed anything and was also willing to accommodate us one more night (2 nights total) after our exploring of Portland and breweries ran a bit later than planned. Thank you so much for having our full time family of 5!
Thank you so much for another excellent stay! It was very quiet both nights.
The host welcomed us as soon as we pulled onto the property. Super nice and was eager to make our stay a good one.
Definitely a great place to stay.
We spent just one night here while on our way down from Maine to our home in Florida…..trailering our new pocket trawler boat! This was a first for us, and our host. We spent some time discussing the similarities of boating and trailering, and greatly enjoyed the very large turnaround area in the church parking lot. If you come, we can highly recommend this host…and the Jakey Steaky Deli right across the street.
Nice, big lot & quiet. 3 other RVs also in the lot with plenty of room. Host friendly & helpful. Would stay again.
We stayed here for two nights with electricity. The host met us as we pulled in and directed where we should park. The host was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again! Thank you!
Our host was very communicative easy going and flexible . It was a nice quiet neighborhood. We felt safe and comfortable would highly recommend. Thanks for an amazing first experience!
We stayed off to the side next to the trees. No hookup needed. We met Andrew. Warm welcome.
Hope everybody respects the privilege of a quiet spot.
Busy parking lot on Sunday morning.
Very quiet spot in a great location. Not far from downtown and a park and small market across the street. Thanks for the spot!
What more could you ask for. Park close to the sign on the road if you need electricity.
This was the perfect place for us to stay when traveling up the Maine coast. The church has a huge parking lot, with an even bigger grass field next-door where our dog got to run around and shake off the travel cramps. The host is a very nice man who seems to enjoy helping out fellow RV'ers.
"Jakey's" next door is a small convenience store where the owner makes great, made to order, fresh sandwiches. Try "Jakey's Steaky", you won't be sorry!
Great spot for the week, super close to Portland where we spent a few days exploring! We didn’t get to meet the host, but he was quick to answer any questions we had. Thank you very much!
Thank you for allowing us to stay.
Bummer electric was already taken, but we understood the chances!
We unhooked and checked out around the area, including Rotary Park which had a nice sandy
beach area on the river.
Went to lighthouse, saw Bush's home from afar, and visited friends. Thanks so much!
Good level and spacious area to park. We were unable to meet our host, however he was quick to respond to our request. Convenient location to visit Kennebunk(port) too. Will stay again if he’ll have us.
Good location for a quick and easy stop for the night or if you want to explore the Southern part of Maine. Hosts were very accommodating and responded quickly to text for questions we had. Did have road traffic that ran pretty late on a Friday night. Appreciated the opportunity to stay here and the hospitality of the host.
Quiet, comfortable and close to activities. Outlets by the street, 30 and 20A. Shady spots along the side of the parking lot. Thanks, Pastor.
Biddeford is a great little town. The parking lot has lots of space for rigs and easy enough to level. One 50 amp plug available (which we were very glad because it was hot), but it is right by a pretty busy road. The dogs really enjoyed all the grass they could run and play off leash.
Directions thru RV Trip Wizard took us to their old address. Finally found it. Great pizza/sub place literally across the road. Didn’t know about shore power though (2 hookups). Other couple there didn’t inform us either.
We enjoyed our stay here and our days touring Kennebunkport and the Maine lighthouses. We were very blessed by being able to attend church services on Sunday and so enjoyed the pastors message. We weren't sure what it would be like to park in a church parking lot with four or five other Campers but it worked out just fine. We appreciate this church for blessing us with a place to park and electricity too. May God bless your Ministry 🙏🙏🙏
We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice parking area with plenty of spots that only need minimal leveling. Our dog loved being off leash as well. Didn’t meet the host, but he was super responsive to emails. We highly recommend the eatery across the street as the food was super tasty and the desserts were excellent.
We were right in the middle of the places we were visiting. Couldn't have been better!
First time Boondockers Welcome stay, and we’ll do it again. Met some nice folks who were also staying there.
This was our first BW visit. The site was a parking lot of a church. There’s a really neat park with a dog park and a beach on the Saco river within walking distance. The host wasn’t around while we were there, but was very accommodating over messages.
This is a great stop in a great location. The host is responsive and very pleasant! Highly recommend. I used the 50 amp and it worked perfectly.
Wanted more time in Portland ME area to explore to the south. Great location to use as a base for Kennebunkport and Ogunquit.
Stopped over the weekend and host was apparently busy and we did not see him. Church traffic was not a problem and most level area is adjacent to South St on the lower level. Lots of grass area for our dogs. Area was well lit, but not enough to bother us sleeping. Road noise was not a problem, but we have not had problems at Walmarts or Crackerbarrels, so factor that into your decision.
This was our first Boondockers stay and looks like we are glad to have joined based on this start.
Had a good stay. Very large parking lot no problems. Quiet lit at night. Close to Old Orchard Beach which was great. Thanks again
Exactly as advertised - large safe church parking lot. Extra bonus was the dog park just 3 blocks away. Nice town!
First Boomdockers Welcome host stay! It was wonderful. Our friends who spend the summers in Old Orchard Beach picked us up. Convenient location and our stay was very nice. We used the back area to relax in our chairs. Thanks so much for providing this opportunity! Very pleased.
A great host who responded quickly to each message, and a large lot that’s close to the beach! Thank you for providing this spot for boondockers!
A very nice place to stay and explore the Old Orchard Beach and Kennebunkport areas. We did not get to meet the host, but talked to other Church members. It felt like a very welcoming place. Very sunny for our solar panels, and a paved lot to easily get the Harley out and back in.
This was my second time boondocking at GracePoint. It's convenient with plenty of room, a great spot.
After traveling down a tourist infested southern Maine route, this quiet parking lot was a blessing (pun intended)
Award795 was an accommodating host who provided all that we needed for our stay - a place to park overnight during a long road trip.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet our host but thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, private time during our stay in Biddeford.
Hopefully we will get to meet him our next time through.
Nice quiet spot on the outskirts of a small town with short drive times from Portland or Kennebunkport. We enjoyed being able to stay two nights on a mostly level surface and the trip for ice cream wasn't too far.
Nice and quiet place to stay very close to to the beach highly recommended.
I wanted to be off the road during the 4th weekend, and GracePoint church provided. Biddeford is an interesting town, and close to many coastal attractions. Highly recommend. And thanks Award795!
We were really grateful for this space to park. Lot is nice and big. Street it’s on is quiet. We appreciated the host responding quickly. Overall great experience
Big wide lot south of Portland. It was great to visit our friends.
Really enjoyed my stay here, it’s super convenient to Kennebunkport which was my main point of the visit. Parked rv near a tree line and had the whole place to myself. Got to meet the pastor’s daughter and his dad, great people.
A Very nice spot close to the city for a quiet night. Thank you for hosting.
We really enjoyed our stay at GracePoint Church. The lot is very spacious and open which was perfect for our large 5th wheel. We parked by the street next to the big open field and our dogs loved running around in the grass. The location is excellent for visiting nearby towns, Portland, Cape Elizabeth and beautiful beaches. Although there is a bit of traffic noise from the road during the day, there wasn't too much of it at night or too early in the morning. Overall it was peaceful and we felt safe. We'd definitely stay again if we're ever back in the area. Thankful to our gracious host for a wonderful stay!
We stayed for 2 nights to see Portland what worked out well.
The neighborhood is nice and you can find good restaurants close by.
This is such a wonderful place to stay. There is a large parking lot and a grassy area for the pups. Lots of areas are super convenient to go visit. Grocery and Walgreens nearby. Quiet and safe area. We will definitely come back. Our host was super nice!
Amazing communication. The church is located on a semi quiet rd. I spent two nights and other than some traffic (only level spot on the entire lot) due to parking by the road it was an enjoyable road.
Quiet peaceful large lighted lot.The rain that night put us right to sleep.Would stay again, thanks Award795!
Grace church was a great location and quiet stop off on our way up the coast!
Great communication. Big parking lot a little sloppy but you can always find a nice spot. Thank you very much for a very nice stay. We can highly recommend the Grace Point Church Boondocker‘s overnight stay.
My dog loved the field, and for a location in a city I’m surprised how quiet it was! A great stop.
Thanks very much for the access to this parking lot. Camping locations in Maine are VERY expensive and must be planned for way in advance. This space allowed my spouse and I to do a quick few days in Maine which was wonderful!
Quiet, plenty of room, and about 20 minute walk to downtown Saco.
Host was quick to respond, very easy to communicate! Super convenient- thanks so much!!!
Thank you so much for giving us a stopover and hope to cross paths with you in the future
Dave and Pam
Great location from which to explore Portland and all the surrounding areas. Thank you so much!
The perfect safe haven for a exhausted traveler!
After a day enjoying Portland, Old Orchard Beach and Kennebunkport, this was a wonderful spot to take a rest before traveling to New Hampshire. Never did get to meet Pastor but appreciated good communication, nice accommodations and positive, welcoming vibe. I’d recommend it. Nice stay!
Worked out perfectly. Quiet neighborhood and large, level parking area to safely and comfortably stop ove to break up a long drive. Thank you for opening up your place for road warriors like ourselves. Bless you!
Perfect spot after a long day of traveling. Parking lot is paved and large. Located close to downtown. Great lawn for our 2 pups as well. Good communication with Award795 too. We appreciated being able to stay here and it gave us an opportunity to check out the area as well.
*It is along a somewhat busy road, we parked back from road and found after dark it was quiet and we had a wonderful night’s sleep.
Also, we put name of business in our maps and it took us to some dead end road about 1 mile away. Make sure you type in actual address of location to help guide you.
The church parking lot was quiet and convenient. We appreciated being able to stay in a safe spot while we checked out Portland and the surrounding area.
Slipped parking lot but was good for a nights stay. Thanks you grace point church.
Stayed for one night and unfortunately we wanted to stay longer and explore the area, but we ran into a family emergency! Will definitely be back!
I was somewhat hesitant to stay overnight in a parking lot in a large city. Grace Point Church was truly a Safe Haven. Perfect location near coastal Maine activities and located in a quiet residential area. I would highly recommend Grace Point Church and appreciate their hospitality to travellers.
We really appreciate Award795's responsiveness and we recommend theIr spot to all. There is a little market across the quiet street. If you're up for it, you can walk to town on the sidewalk.
Nearby is the Eastern Point bike path, which is flat and surrounded by beautiful trees.
This was our first stay and it was a great experience! Close to Portland. Would definitely stay here again. There was also a giant field that we parked next to where our dogs were able to play.
I had a great visit in Biddeford at GracePoint Church. I tucked my RV in the back, by the grass, and felt safe. I explored Portland, Old Orchard Beach, and Biddeford while in the area.
We were able to get some much needed rest here for a few days. It’s a perfect spot, close to a super market and a few places to eat. Pulling in was easy based on directions given and it was a huge parking lot. Only regret we weren’t in town long enough to attend a service and thank Award795 in person. Communication was easy quick and he seems like a very nice host.
Wonderful spot to spend the night. Large well lit parking area set back from the road. Park across the street and plenty of area to walk the dogs. Not far from restaurants and stores.
As a bonus we enjoyed an outdoor church service from our RV and were warmly welcomed by the pastor and some church members.
Big Lot to park on, centrally located. There is tall trees on one side, so we had shade in the afternoon. Thank you.
Quiet & peaceful area. Thank you, I greatly appreciate the last minute approval to spend the night.
This spot was easy to find and park the RV. The host responded quickly to our request and I'm glad it worked out as this was our first time boondocking.
Wonderful location close to the beach and Portland. We got to attend church on Sunday in the parking lot we stayed. It was quite and relaxing.
Shaded area to park rig. Area was clean and safe. Got to enjoy their outdoor church service
This spot was easily accessible and quiet. The host was very responsive and great to work with. Definitely recommend this location.
What a great location. The best chicken sandwich ever!!! Thank you Pastor For suggesting. Went for a 3 mile run and enjoyed the river view.
Thank you again!
Perfect midway pt between home and acadia. Large safe lot. Quiet. Didn’t get to meet host but through emails was extremely pleasant and welcoming. Thanks for opening your lot to us!
Spent some time at the Rotary Park near by and then had a safe quiet night here :)
This was our second stop here as we travel through Maine. Great place to stay, plenty to do in the area, day trip to Portland, good restaurants and shopping to stock up.
Just what we were looking for. A quiet place near the interstate to tuck in for the night. Large parking lot of this church - no one else parked. It was quiet and safe.
Thank you Award795!!
Great parking lot with lots of room for six year old to eork off much energy!
Fully paved parking lot. Lots of room. Would stay here again if we were in the area
The parking lot was perfect for parking for the night. Perfect spot to run our dog on the side.
A awesome location to visit Maine coast. Great local sites to see. Host was great help with some local ideas and stopped by to see if we had any questions. Host was very friendly. Good spot for stocking up on supplies too.
A nice spot just a short drive for shopping. Met Pastor Andrew in the morning had a short chat. What a good use for a parking lot this empty most of the week.
Thank you Pastor Andrew for having us. We are sorry we didn’t get to attend services. Would have loved to have heard you teach. Location was close to interstate but not right beside it. Directions were easy to follow with no problems. We felt safe in the large parking area and neighborhood. Glad we were able to meet Andrew and be the first Boondockers. Highly recommended!
