Location

Access Road Conditions: Please call or text an hour before your Arrival so I can tell you descriptives for finding our driveway and not passing it up. (A large bus or class A over 25 feet long will have difficulty at our entrance because of its turning radius.) We would suggest a class C drivable camper or bus being 25 feet or less is good. A pull behind camper (not including the towing vehicle) up to 25 feet is fine to pull through the entrance and up the slight incline. A 20 foot drivable camper pulling a small toad (car) or trailer should be fine. Contact us with questions about this. The beginning part of this driveway is inclined for about 10 yards, then levels off. Upon exiting we also suggest a wide angle turn at the gate to avoid taking our trees with you or leaving your rear wheel in our culvert…😳 Also caution exiting driveway!! I have a stop sign to remind you to stop, look, listen, then look again!! People use this stretch of highway to finally pass slow drivers they’ve been following for miles! 😬 Cut grass area is large enough to turn rig around to angle out for exit or drive thru if you’re not good at backing but only if ground is DRY! Check the recent rainfall on your app for info on this especially or if your combined rig length is very long a (abt 32’) Tow Vehicle Parking Details: You may stay attached or become detached. Always park angled out in prep for exit in case of rain.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon and night here. Jana-Lynn welcomed us and walked us around the property. We enjoyed great conversation and a peaceful sleep. Directions to the property and communication before our arrival were wonderful!

Super nice friendly hosts. Met me at the gate and made sure I was safely and happily parked. Nice quiet well maintained meadow surrounded by trees. I would definitely stay there again.

Quiet, peaceful setting. Level parking. Gracious, friendly host. Getting in and out is tight, but host communicated that in advance. We enjoyed kayaking the Ghost Section of the Wolf River and the location was convenient for that.

This is a beautiful spot to park. Very quiet and nostalgic. Our host was very communicative and gave very good directions. It is difficult to get into and out of but we were told of this in advance. Overall, good stay.

This is sort of a hidden getaway campsite for the hosts which they are sharing with other travelers. It requires a bit of alertness to locate, but the host was on the phone with us three times as well as texting and when we cruised that final stretch of road, one of them was out there waiting to wave us down and into the driveway. The driveway was fine for our 28' skoolie, a grassy track that wound up a short hill before breaking into a large clearing amidst chest-high grasses surrounded by relatively young growth forest. The arrival area has gravel base and we turned about without issue and parked on a surprisingly level patch while easily leaving room for the family cars to arrive or depart. No hookups, so expect to boondock, but the AT&T was strong and open sky overhead fed the solar panels. The family provided a cheerful welcome, providing a leisurely walking tour of the wooded paths and small pond before leaving us to unpack. We settled in quickly and then we were eating dinner (from our own supplies) while listening mostly to trees and the occasional car passing by below. The night was quiet and peaceful, with neighboring lights visible in the distance without drowning out the stars. No wildlife came rummaging around and the Host tells us there are no bear known to be in the area. Smaller critters were visible or left traces, and a large raptor spent some time overhead before dark, but nothing to concern visitors (except maybe ladybugs, which seemed to like the place.) We slept well in the fresh air and arose refreshed to prepare for the one-hour trip to Memphis. My wife and I agreed this was one of the most pleasant experiences of our trip to date. Although it was low-key and without exciting tourist dazzle, it was the perfect answer to our desire for a quiet night in a safe and friendly environment. We will definitely return and we recommend the location to anyone interested in a no-nonsense layover with a peaceful natural setting. From warm welcome to departing smiles and waves, a solid glimpse into Harvest Host hospitality at its best.
