Love to play pickle ball, Ukulele, ride bikes and travel in our Escape 5.0 Details: My husband, Gary, and I live on 10 acres near Richmond, VA. I am a fitness instructor for the YMCA and Fitness Warriors of Richmond, VA. My husband is retired and was in computer sales for 30 years and loves all things mechanical and technical. In January of 2019 we purchased our first travel trailer. We drove from VA to Rice, TX to pick our new Casita up camping all the way home. We purchased an Escape 5.0 in October of 2021. Home Town: We live outside Ashland, VA. Which is a sleepy Mayberry type town 10 miles north of Richmond, VA. There is a railroad track running through downtown with big old houses lining the track. We are very convenient to I-95, and I-64. We are a 1 hour drive to Williamsburg, 2 hours from VA Beach, 2 hours from Washington DC, and 1.5 hours to Skyline Drive near Charlottesville, VA home of Thomas Jefferson.

Having been with Boondockers Welcome and Harvest Host since 2017 with more than 30 stays, I must say that this was one of my best experiences. Lovely place, remote but not too far, magnificient woods surrouding the property, warm welcome by the host. Enlightning exchanges about how we travel, sharing experiences and tips. Will certainly go back if possible.
