Located 10 miles west of Clarkston Washington off highway 12. Sitting high on a hill this location has outstanding views with deer, turkeys and other wildlife. Dozen fruit trees and happy to share the bounty when in season.
Lewis Clark Valley is called the Banana Belt due to the mild winter weather. but can be warm in the summer months.
This River View guest location is minutes from town, yet worlds apart. Quiet peaceful location with tremendous views of the Snake river and surrounding canyons.
Not the easiest location to access for larger vehicles but easily suitable for Class B and C RV's or smaller trailers w/4WD pull rig.
There has been numerous trucks trailers and RVs up this road without problems. If you are unskilled or hesitant, please check road condition before driving in your RV.
Your welcome to ripe fruit off any of the 12 trees on the property. Enjoy and save some for others.
Generators hours 9am-10pm. There are wild turkeys in the L/C area so children are discouraged.
Water and sewer hook up is avaibable for filling or dumping your tank not for permanent hook up.
If you smoke pick up your butts. If you bring your dog please pick up the mess.
This guest location is intended for traveling RV's on their continued destination. Not for "destitute" camping.
Paved narrow road off highway 12 for one mile than steep (12% grade) gravel driveway 200 yards long with 90 corner at the top.
Would not pull tow vehicle up driveway, plenty of space to park next to RV once set up.
Not advisable to pull heavy trailers up driveway with out 4 wheel drive.
When traveling myself this location will not be available.
Clarkston is the gateway to Hell's canyon, the deepest canyon in the lower 48. There are a couple of winery's in the area and plenty of restaurants in town. Miles of bicycle paths along the Snake and Clearwater rivers with parks throughout the area. Dworshak dam is 50 miles away in Orofino and is open for viewing. Good fishing in the areas rivers and reservoirs. For motorcycle riders fun curvy roads in all directions. Ie; Spiral highway, Rattlesnake grade (to Oregon), Asotin grade, Wawawi grade and US 12 to Montana (99 miles of curves) for starters.
Easy to find windy road up but no problem including the 200 yard gravel driveway..Gary offered full hookups.we didn’t need water and sewer but the electricity was great100 degree day Enjoyed our visit with Gary. Thank you for sharing.
This place was absolutely gorgeous! We were disappointed to leave early because of a wildfire nearby. It would have been ok but the smoke was getting bad. We watched the fire planes and helicopters dump water on the fires for hours and it was actually a beautiful evening. The host is great and wish we had more time to talk with him. The driveway up really is no joke so if you are questioning your abilities or your vehicle I wouldn't attempt it.
We have stayed in some nice place but NONE yet with a more dynamic peaceful view. Gary is as good as it comes…
Thanks for sharing what you are a steward of my new friend 🤠
A great place to stay, he allowed us to extend our time if we needed. Would stay there again if we were in the area.
A great stay and friendly hosts. If you have a large rig or non 4x4 vehicle I would recommend taking a look at the driveway and not losing momentum. But it's well worth the trip and I was told class c and a rv's have made it up there. You won't likely find better views than this property.
The title says it all. Thanks very much for a great stay.
Thank you for your hospitality. I truly enjoyed my visit with you, and a quiet, peaceful night. Your figs and Apples were delicious.
Enjoyed our overnight stay. The road and driveway were not bad at all. Views were spectacular, saw some wild turkeys, got to plug in which was an added bonus. Very quiet at night and plenty of room to park. Gary is a great guy and very friendly. Would definitely recommend this boondockers place. Thank you for the lovely stay!
What an amazing and beautiful drive up to our host location! Plenty of room to maneuver our rig, and we were surrounded by wildflowers, fruit trees, and beautiful views of the snake river. Our host met us as soon as we arrived, helped us find a good location to park, and offered us the opportunity to pick apricots! Thanks again for a wonderful and memorable stay!
Great host—super good communication and welcoming. The driveway is no joke. We pulled up a 25 foot trailer w/2500 Dodge Ram 4WD. My palms were sweating but we made it w/o issue and the view was worth it. I walked down though, lol, leaving my husband to navigate the descent!
Evenings were peaceful and lovely. Saw turkeys, a rabbit, quail, a very irate warbler (goldfinch?), pelicans from afar, and heard the coyotes in the distance at night. Beautiful, well kept property with an incredible view of the Snake River.
Appreciated being able to run our generator for a few hours because it was hot!
High on a hill overlooking the river. Single lane road part way up, a little intimidating. Drive worth the view. Had to leave early, tick med on my pup not working.
We love this location overlooking the Snake River, in fact we are staying one more night. Gary, our friendly and accommodating host met us at the hiway exit and led us to the site. His friendly demeanor gave us confidence that our stay would be a relaxed visit. We highly recommend this location and would love to visit again in our future travels.
