Retired Municipal Manager Details: I was originally a Electrician, but after many years of construction I went back to school to get my Engineering Certificate. I worked for the Dept. of National Defense for 34 years first as an Electrical Engineer, working my way up to the department manager. My wife and I were avid boaters for many years travelling in Georgian Bay mainly, but sold our boat beginning of 2019 to start travelling in our 21 foot Chinook motor home. We enjoy boondocking as it is very close to the way we traveled in our boat, and are always looking for locations to boondock for a few days at a time. We enjoy talking to people who have been RVing to see where they have been and where they are traveling to. We like the warm weather so will be heading south for part of the winter hoping to meet great people as we boondock our way. In 2020 we upgraded to our new to us 2008 29 ft Holiday Rambler Atlantis Class C, which we loved but we did not stop there. We are now travelling in our new to us 2007 Coachman Mirada, Class A which we have now had to Florida twice and really love it. Unfortunately in 2018 my wife was diagnosed with Dementia which makes it a little hard to travel as much as we would like but we are still hosting and travelling a little. Please just know that she does not always understand things like she should and cannot really communicate with people very well. Due to this we do not visit with our guests as much as I would like but I still try to meet you and if the weather is good even have a campfire with you . Please do not feel jaded if my wife does not talk to you much and if you are alright with that we would love to host you or be a guess at your location. Home Town: Our home town is New Lowell, Ontario, Canada. We are about 30 mins North West of Barrie, 25 mins from Collingwood, 30 Mins from Blue Mountain and 15 mins from Wasaga Beach. It is a quiet little rural town and I have lived here all my life. Favorite Boondocking Locations: To date we have not found any real great sites but we are always looking for Crown Land to boondock at. Skills or Expertise to Share: Electrical and general handy man as well as general knowledge of the area.

Richard is very friendly and accommodating. Parking spot is level and easy to access. Even offered 30 amp electric. Unfortunately the weather was poor or else he was going to a have a campfire and play music, which would have been great as I had my guitar with me as well. Will definitely be back next time I am up in that area. Thanks for you hospitality.

Richard was quick to respond to our last minute stay request. He was friendly and we enjoyed our chat. Richard offered us 30W electrical hookup, which we don’t typically accept, but we did, because it had been hot. Because our power cord wouldn’t reach the outlet, he offered to move his RV, so that we could park in it’s place. When it still didn’t reach, he lent us his own power cord to use. Richard’s property is surrounded by trees which offer shade. We appreciate Richard’s hospitality.

We stayed here a few weeks ago and I am just now getting caught up with my reviews! We very much appreciated the chance to stay at this lovely acreage. There was lots of parking space, and our hosts were so welcoming and generous. Many thanks for your hospitality.
