We are in the country backing onto the forest with miles of forested trails to walk. You can also walk, bike or drive 2 kilometers to the famous Goats On The Roof market to shop for all kinds of things, two of our favorites being the ice cream shop and their INCREDIBLE homemade doughnuts. You can also walk or bike a very nice seven kilometer trail to downtown Parksville where you can find beautiful sandy beaches for the whole family including the dog. Qualicum Beach is about an eight kilometer drive to a very nice community with a lot of small shops and restaurants worth visiting.
We are non-smokers and would prefer non-smoking but basically we want you to treat us like you would expect us to treat you.
Paved access to our acreage and gravel on the acreage. Vehicles over 45 feet in total length will have to do some maneuvering to get from the paved road over a 20 foot wide access onto the driveway.
We have two and a half flat acres with easy turn around and parking for any size RV.You can park on the front part of the acreage or completely fenced in on the back part of the acreage.
This whole island is an outdoor paradise whether you want to walk, hike , mountain bike, golf, fish, four wheel drive or ATV. It's all easy access to explore. A few options are: Old Country Market (a.k.a. Goat's on the Roof), Bamboozle, North Island Wildlife Rescue, Horne Lake Caves, Englishman River Falls, Little Qualicum Falls, Morningstar Farm and Little Qualicum Cheeseworks.
We had a great stay! Coombs market is so close. We took our bikes along the trails but it's walking distance for sure. We were welcomed to a tour of the backyard, with breath taking mountain views, and even got to sample some fruits and veggies from the garden. On our way out they also gave us some insider tips on where to take the next leg of our road trip. Our hosts were so friendly and we're excited to stay with them again! Thanks so much ♥
Beautiful secure garden to stay in, friendly and generous hosts. Could not have asked for anything more. Will return there whenever we are in the area.
We had a great welcome at Dusty Acres! They made us feel totally relaxed and at home right from the start. Communication was excellent. They quickly responded to us and shared helpful information about directions and where to fill up our propane. When we arrived they provided us with maps for local trails and places to go. Really enjoyed our chats and laughs with them - even at a distance. Their beautiful dog was an added bonus. THANK YOU 😃
Love the area. Nice trails. If you like horses there's lots around. Deer and rabbits too.
They are lovely easy going people and I was gifted a delicious bounty from their garden. Made the most yummy salad.
Their dog is a sweet well behaved Aussie that greets you with a wag and a smile.
Thanks Dusty Acres!
Spectacular view from a beautifully landscaped yard. Hosts were full of information and warm and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the wooded trails near their property. We hope to meet up with them again someday!
A beautiful location with mountain views; the most welcoming, wonderful hosts; an easy-going, sweet dog who befriended our old dog: simply a perfect two days. And we've made new friends!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, quiet but for the nighthawks booming one evening, and fine conversation.
Had a great time, wonderful property, It was such a pleasure meeting with them. Our son just loved playing with the dog.
We enjoyed our stay so much.
Thanks again. Hope to see you again.
Thanks again for welcoming us to your beautiful property and for sharing your travel tips and experiences. Hope to see you on the east coast someday!
We were welcomed by our hosts and given options of where to park for the best view of the mountains. This is a beautiful location and well of the main road so very quiet. There is a nearby bike trail that goes into town which we took advantage of. We would stay again in a heartbeat.
