We had a little trouble finding the place. This was our first boondockers welcome and didn't realize the address was listed in the info, we just went by the coordinates. Oops.
jndavidson51 was super patient and directed us to the right area. He welcomed us with his dog (such a sweet pup) when we got there. We got there just in time for sunset. Beautiful area.
I read the previous comments about the washboard road and they were accurate but expected.
Thanks for letting us stay!
Top of the world view of Paso Robles countryside with a very accomodating and interesting host. Quiet, rural setting is well worth the drive east out of town. Great place to escape!
Host was really nice and helpful! Beautiful sunset and probably sunrise if I was a morning person :P
jndavidson51 hosted me on his beautiful property for a night on my trip up the coast. He was a vary friendly, considerate, and kind host. Kinda wish I had longer to stay and get to know him more.
This was my first Boondockers Welcome experience and it was superb. My only regrets were not having more time and wanting to social distance due to COVID.
It’s well worth arriving a few hours before sunset, my schedule had me too rushed. I gratefully fulfilled a childhood dream of what it would be like to live/stay on one of the golden hills of California (lots of long car rides to Grandma’s house). This location exceeded my every expectation and I could not have had a more gracious or welcoming host. Excellent communication, flexibility with arrival and departure, exceptional directions and WAZE gps app will deliver you to the front door.
Note: My RV is a 23’ B+. I had no problems with the driveway but as with all gravel roads take it slow.
Jndavidson51 greeted us at the gate and helped us to get settled. He gave us some orientation to the beautiful property and surrounding land. Our dog really appreciated having the room to romp, and we all enjoyed a lovely walk through the oak-laden hillside with resident deer. The dirt road on was a bit washboard, but we took it slow and the drive was well worth the beauty. Thank you for opening up your property to us and fellow travelers. We appreciate you being a part of the BW network. Be well.
Excellent host, would highly recommend, would definitely stay again.
My husband and I had the most incredible night here at Willow Creek. This was our first night in our camper, and the host was patient and made sure to let us know that he was there to help if we needed it. The property was stunning and quiet. We hope to stay here again soon!
Really beautiful location with expansive hilltop sunset views. Sunrise also. friendly host!
We loved our stay and found our host to be very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended.
Heaven on earth! Cannot describe how beautiful it is here. We parked in The host’s compound, which is a couple miles down a dirt road. He was very accommodating, friendly, travelled, and just a great guy. We took our two dogs for walks along the country roads in the evening and at dawn. Just stunning views and gentle rolling hills, deers, birds, heard a coyote at night and the odd sheep during the day. Can’t recommend this place and this gentleman and host enough for those passing through or wanting a quiet respite from the chaos of the world. Different pace here.
Our host was by the gate to guide us in and helped us get settled. We loved everything about this place - the views, the animals, and the friendly welcome. This was the perfect respite after a beautiful drive down the coast on Highway 1.
Willow Creek is rad! It's totally off of the grid and up on a hill w/ fantastic views all around. jndavidson51 a great host and even offered access to the bathroom in the barn. Such a great member of the boondockers community...all the best to him on his own adventures!
He was super nice & accommodating despite my tardiness. This was my FIRST night RV-ing, things took a bit longer :)
The property is beautiful and slept great behind a gate on a sheep farm. Great starry night walk with my dog.
Peaceful breakfast with view of rolling hills. My dog and his dog, Willow, hung out all morning as I topped off my water tank, so my tire pressure...
Highly recommend!
Beautiful location. View goes on forever. Host was right there to greet us and show us how to operate the gates. It was an exploration for us in order to find a nice spot to rest on our way to the ocean where we moor our boat. We will be back as the weather becomes warmer now that we know the way. God bless and thanks!
Jeff met us at the gate even though we arrived a day late and still let us stay. The nights sky lit up with stars and the backdrop of mountains made for a beautiful evening.
This is a remarkable place. We were lucky to be there shortly after the birth of twins to a vocal momma sheep. We weren’t there long enough to really see the place but early morning gave us a beautiful rainbow. Jeff (host) is one of the most generous people we have encountered. He shares this little piece of paradise and helps the needy RVers (us) that can’t get their sliding door to close. Truly a special experience and we hope to come again
Great guest. Be careful with your electricity request since he is on solar.
Most welcoming and accommodating... couldn’t ask for more... thank you for allowing us to stay at your property
Host met me outside. Out in the country, totally off grid, very cool.
