a DIYer Details: My husband and I hope to get on the road in a year or so. Sooner would be nice but I'm being realistic. I'm a licensed massage therapist and make polymer clay jewelry and my business is in my home. My hubby is retired from construction and truck driving. We love the outdoors and gardening. Taking good care of the environment and our health is important to us, therefore, we don't eat animals. Don't let that stop you from boondocking here on your way through. 🌈 Home Town: We live a couple miles east of Troy, PA. A small town on RT 6 between Mansfield and Towanda. It's approximately 90 minutes from popular Watkins Glenn and Ithaca NY and 60 minutes to Corning, NY. Favorite Boondocking Locations: We haven't begun yet but will prefer country settings but know that won't always be an option and will be grateful for a driveway. Skills or Expertise to Share: Let us know what you need, we may be able to help.

I wish there were more stars to check off in the rating. I could not have asked for a nicer stay. I parked in front of the garage as the yard was too wet for me to drive down to the pond. Very comfortable staying there and walking the property with my pup, who truly enjoyed the pond. Hope you get to meet this lovely couple.

First, pay attention to the directions the hosts provides. I made the mistake of using GPS and spent an hour wandering around outside of Coudersport before I realized I was about 30 miles away. That said, the road up to the house is steep but manageable for our 27' 2WD Coach, and the parking spot was so level I didn't really need my levelers. Great views from the property of the surrounding mountains, however the weather wasn't the best so that did dimish that part of our stay. I was totally exhausted when we got there, we met Mark and chatted for a few minutes but then the wife and I went to bed. Up early for the trip home the next day, and I'm sorry to say we really didn't get a chance to meet the hosts before we left which was our fault, not theirs. For anyone traveling Route 6 through the northern tier of PA, I would certainly heartily recommend this host. Long rigs would be an issue, but below 30' would be perfect.

My wife and I travel full time (5+ years) and coming across a spot like Halcyon Hill is always special. We didn't get to meet Mark, but Kay spent time on their porch with us before dinner. We had a quiet night on the hill and were grateful for the hospitality. Highly recommended.
