Need more than 3 nights? Lets discuss.
Property is located near Lake Marion and the northern end of the Santee Dam. Several open acres on the property, some shade trees, a one-acre pond for the view, catch and release. A fire bowl is available for your use, benches are located about the property. There is a designated area for campers under the oaks but, if the ground supports doing so, you can setup anywhere.
Must be self contained to boondock here.
Camping hammocks using tree straps are OK in the designated area.
Potable water is available should you need to fill your tank entering or leaving.
No running generators after 10PM or before 7AM (quiet hours). They must not disturb others.
The house, the barn and areas around are off limits.
There is a barrel for your bagged trash.
Please be sure to clean up after your dog.
Note that Verizon wireless does not work well here. Perhaps that's good if you're looking for solitude.
You'll be parking in an open field or in shade under the trees, we'll scope out a spot on arrival. Maneuvering should not be an issue for the experienced. We have hosted Class A's, C's, B's, 5ers, and trailers. All paved roads in good shape lead up to the property driveway, then gravel and grass.
Hitched to rig, along side rig, all is well.
There are several nearby boat landings, fishing piers and lake water access points. Santee and Poinsett State Parks, Swan Lake in Sumter, are each under an hour away. There are nearby wildlife management areas including Santee National Wildlife Refuge. Google search Lake Marion and Santee Cooper and you'll find there is plenty to explore and do in the area. Two golf courses within 10 minutes, Myrtle Beach and Charleston are just about 90 minutes away if traffic is not too bad. If coming in for one of the local or national fishing tournaments, we'd love to host you. "Boat Church" down the road a bit is available Sunday mornings Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day weekend.
What a beautiful place and our host was wonderful. We will be back.
A spot off the trail (I95) and peaceful. Host and RV were very polite and respectful. It was an easy in and out. As mentioned in the write-up, cell reception is bleak, but not an issue with us.
I would stay again.
This is our third stay with RV’acres. We can’t say enough good things about this place. We love that we can walk our dog and stretch our legs in this beautiful environment. We also love having a welcoming host and a safe place to stay. See you next time.
What a great stay! If you come and stay here you should stay for three days at least - this host has tons of things for you to see and do in the area. He’s better than a visitor center!
We couldn’t have asked for a more kind and generous host.
We’ll be back!
Host was friendly and accommodating and the site was beautiful. Would stay again when I’m back that way. There are no hook-ups so make sure your devices are charged and water in your fresh tank.
The host was waiting to greet me as I pulled in his driveway. There is a nice pond on the property which the host encourages guests to catch & release. Nice shaded site. This host went out of his way to ensure that my buddy Tucker & I were comfortable. I highly recommend DTSSR for a stay. Mr RV is quite a character and enjoyed Tuckers company. We will be returning.
My stay at RV’s acres was perfect! DTSSR and RV were welcoming and very helpful with getting me situated. The property is beautiful and a great place for relaxing in the shade or by the pond. His knowledge of all things RV related helped to me learn and I appreciated that he took the time to give me his knowledge. My dog liked playing with RV, too. Thank you DTSSR and RV.
We came upon Boondockers Welcome because we didn't always feel safe when traveling and stopping at WalMarts. Plus they can be noisy! This was our first stay using the Boondockers reservation syatem and we were delighted. RV-Acres is beautiful and we had our choice of parking anywhere in a large field. Dan was friendly and helpful. We were so tired and didn't get to do much walking of the beautiful property but hope to stop again and do so. Thanks for a safe, peaceful, quiet place to rest our weary heads!
Wow, Our first Boondockers stay! DTSSR reached out to us to confirm our arrival time. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm and friendly smile. We had a nice conversation parked our rig and took a very needed walk around his property. Such a lovely place. Later our host checked up on us and said goodnight. I went on to have one of the most restful sleeps I've had in years. Very serene and quiet place to stay!
Thank you DTSSR!

2nd time staying with dtssr and RV. He and RV met us when we arrived and directed us to our place to park. He has a wonderful property and we walked over near the pond. And like last time it started to rain 🤨. Very nice spot and highly recommend
Very beautiful, peaceful and pleasant stay. Dtssr meet us as we pulled in, helped us get parked in location he desired, wonderful views. Well maintained area, allowed time for setup and then checked on us a little later to see if we needed anything else. Allowed catch and release fishing in his pond if we desired, wonderful places to sit around pond for viewing with firepit. Although our verizon service was weak no fault of dtssr. Wonderful host and place. Absolutely would recommend and would stay again if in area.
Really quiet. Very pretty property. Dan was welcoming and helpful. 10 /10 would stay again
Beautiful spot I wish it stopped raining so we could have sat by the lake and enjoyed the peacefulness. We saw a big blue Herron on the lake. Wonderful host. Highly recommend this spot.
I had a great couple of days at this quiet spot overlooking the pond. Host was most generous and accommodating. I will definitely be back.
Another great stay on our way to Florida. Not too far off the highway and it is nice and quite with room to stretch your legs! Great host!
We stayed one night on our way back home from Florida. We enjoyed a great view and a welcoming host. The view over the pond was beautiful and great to look at while winding down from a long drive. We would definitely stay here again if our travels ever brought us back this back this way!
We had a great stay with host dtssr. An idyllic spot on a small pond. Very quiet. Plenty of space to maneuver and park our Truck Camper. Mostly level and flat. We would have been completely level if we'd moved @ 10 yards farther from the pond. We were traveling northbound on 95 and looking for an overnight spot. Not too far frm the highway interchange and there are plenty of the usual places to eat at the interchange. I suggest getting a little bit closer to dtssr's location and enjoy one of the local spots in Manning. 5 of 5 stars from us! #njmooseandsquirrel
Easy to find following his directions. Found pretty level spot near beautiful pond. Loved being able to walk the dog after a long drive. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for our dog and she snuck out and took off for a fun run around the property. Gave us opportunity to watch her run while we were able to enjoy visiting and getting solar advice.
We stopped at RV’s acres for a few night waiting for the rain to stop so we could visit Charleston, though in the middle of nowhere the place was charming and so was the host.
Dtssr greeted us with his dog RV as we arrived, found us a great location and made sure we had everything we needed, even offered amenities we were not expecting.
We enjoyed numerous walks with our dogs around the property and neighborhood.
We visited Santee state park on lake Marion which was absolutely beautiful.
Would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again.
Thank you for your great hospitality!
i arrived a day late due to nasty storms, heavy traffic and construction..then arrived at this oasis, warmly welcomed by my host.....my camper was parked near a pond in a large well kept and mowed field..a beautiful property ...very peaceful....thank you very much ....
Quite a nice spot. Host was wonderful. We came in after dark sadly- but he was right there to help us get situated.
