Have you stayed at this host location?
Leave a reference for this hostWe are in the woods but only 5 miles from town. We are the last house on the road. If you run off the black top you have missed our drive way. It is very quiet and peaceful here. It is our little piece of heaven. When you drive through the gate the world fades away. You can hear lots of birds. We see wildlife. (Gopher Tortoises, raccoons, deer, birds, a couple stray cats, opossums and polecats.) We have 2 beloved indoor/outdoor cats. I work mostly from home because I am YouTuber. I teach how to make rag rugs.
*When requesting to reserve your spot please let me know if you need 30 amp or is 15 okay or no electric so I can accommodate other requests as their come in. We stay pretty busy.
*Only 1 small mild mannered dog (under 25 lbs.) on leash and please pick up after your dog. We have 2 indoor/outdoor cats.
*No fires
*No drugs
*Please be respectful of all
*Please leave things like you found it
*Please turn off your A/C when you leave the property
*We have a 30 amp plug and a 110 plug in. We can accommodate more rigs but they will not be able to be plugged in to power.
*$5 to $8 per day (electric) You decide what is fair based upon size of rig and if you are running the A/C.
Nice paved road access we have a chain link fence and gate you need to be able to back in. Our drive is about 200 ft long and is shell rock. If you have a tt or large motorhome you will need to back in through the gate about 150 feet. Some of the yard is a bit soft under the grass because it is sand. We don't ever have a problem but be aware of the situation and be thoughtful. Do not try to circle the block or come in on another road other than Gardenia AVE. because they are soft sand or turn to soft sand.
There is enough room to leave your tow vehicle hooked up or park it somewhere else on the property.
We are 2.5 miles from Highlands Hammock State Park as the crow flies. We have many lakes and golfing in our area. We are about 2 hours from either coast. We are 1 1/2 hours from Disney. 1 hour from Lego Land. We have a few of the big chain restaurants. (Outback, Olive Garden and Red Lobster) A couple local good mom and pop restaurants we can direct you to.
Loved our stay at Florida Scrub, even though it started with adventure. My bad I didn't read the 'how to get there' instructions. Following the GPS lady's instuctions instead, drove right past the driveway and out into the sand where we promptly got our rig stuck (many thanks to Artistic Towing for pulling us out!)
Once out of the sand and situated, our hosts were wonderful and the property was quiet, clean and peaceful. Had a great evening and great experience with our hosts. Would love to come back again, Thank you!
Very friendly and gracious hosts. We enjoyed visiting with them. Such an interesting couple. We will definitely give them a call if we are traveling through this area again.
Safe and quiet location close to all conveniences. Hosts were gracious and shared info on local attractions which included the local State Park that is, for sure, a must visit, especially the Swamp Walk. Would stay here again without hesitation. The best of the best.
A peaceful location.....but the best part was the helpful host. He made sure we were parked and comfortable. He shared information and made us feel very welcomed.
A family emergency changed our plans. We were welcomed another night and they offered support on many levels. We are thankful our paths crossed.
Had 3 very nice and enjoyable day. Very much enjoyed our stay and great conversation. What a great and interesting couple. Definitely recommend this spot.
Location was wonderful but hosts went above and beyond to make my visit so special! They are truly interesting and remarkable people!
Three days of beautiful weather, safe locations, lovely host and met more new friends. If your in the area look up these BW host, you won't regret the stay. Hope to stop by when we return.
Enjoyed a wonderful stay for my first use of Boondockers. They are great folks to chat with about the area and travel strories.
Very nice spot, level, easy access to location, and it is very very quiet.
Highly recommend this location to anyone.
The hosts were very nice and accommodating and helpful with good suggestions of things to do and places to eat in the area.
My Boondocking spot was great, plenty of sun for my solar, and level, easy in and out. Peaceful and quiet nights sleep.
Hickory hammock state park is very nearby and has really cool things to see and hiking and biking trails plus a CCC museum.
I got the oil changed in my truck at a Nissan dealer which was only about 10 minutes away.
The old part of downtown Sebring is laid out pretty cool around a circle and has some interesting history and shops and stores to see.
I consistently had 2 or 3 bars of Verizon.
If it’s available I would definitely recommend staying here!
Had a great stay with FloridaScrub. The hosts were friendly and very interesting people. Their property is close to town but still in a quiet rural area. They shared water and power hookups with us which was super convenient. Hope to meet these generous folks again:)
I’ve stayed at 5 different spots during this trip and this spot is my favorite! It’s semi-secluded, quiet and dark at night. The city is about 3 miles away and a great park is around 5 miles. I’m enjoying it so much that I’m staying an extra night. On top of that, my hosts were the most hospitable couple I’ve ever met. I would definitely stay here again!
Really enjoyed are stay and loved visiting with our hosts... Arrived as strangers and in no time felt like we have been longtime friends... Highly recommend Floridascrubs. Looking forward to seeing you guys again... Thank you for such wonderful hospitality...
Meshell 😊
We couldn’t have had better hosts and would highly recommend FloridaScrub to anyone interested in boondocking in the area. It was a great location and easy to get in and out of.
Very welcoming hosts, with a quiet and restful place to spend the night.
We had a quiet and pleasant stay for 1 night. Our host was there to meet us and we chatted a while about many things. It was very quiet and they are very accomadting.
If you are in the are we recommend staying here.
Great hosts, felt very welcome and enjoy this wonderful place. The stargazing at night was awesome from this location. Very enjoyable experience.
This is a great quiet spot, and what a lovely couple. We had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours chatting with them, and it was a really nice experience. They are very communicative and responsive with messages and helpful with recommendations for the area. High recommendation.
We stayed here while visiting family in Sebring. We did not spend a lot of time there as we spent a lot of time with family. Did get to chat with Erin and share a few experiences. This is a beautiful, quiet space. Would love to return and relax here. Thanks Erin🤗
Wonderful hosts who gave us lots of great information. If you come here I would highly recommend seeing Highlands Hammock State Park (absolutely beautiful) and taking a bike ride around Jackson Lake.
