15 miles from Bowling Green, KY and 15 miles from Franklin, KY our rolling farm acreage is available for your overnight stay. We have a gravel drive with spacing for one RV and tow vehicle near our barn. You will need to be able to back into this space. Electric (30 amp) and water are available for a fee of $5.00 per night. We may have a few black angus cattle and two sweet mares in the fields. Lots of open space and open skies. We are within walking distance to a wonderful creek used by locals for awesome kayaking. Also, please be aware that we have some distant neighbors who practice target shooting with guns occasionally. You will definitely hear it. We don’t want you to be startled if that happens while you are here.
1. Pets can be on a long leash or free to roam as long as they don't chase cattle or horses. If this is an issue, you will be required to leash/confine your pet.
2. Infants ok, but no toddlers or children ages 1 - 4. We have large animals and electric fencing.
3. No industrial/commercial generators; camping generators ok.
4. No dumping or draining on our property.
5. No un-reserved or un-accepted arrivals.
6. "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints." A trash bin is nearby for you to clean up your site and unload your trash.

Country road. From the north (Bowling Green exit #20) to Plano Toad (622) and state route 240, one 90 degree turn, another not so sharp. 90 degree turn into our gravel driveway.
From the south (Franklin, KY exit) coming north on Barnes School Road you'll find hills, curves, and a good sized concrete bridge over the nearby Drakes Creek. Can be challenging to turn left into our drive with a longer rig. It’s really best to come from the North if your rig is longer.
28’-30’ is the maximum allowed due to the turning space required into our driveway. Slide outs are possible but may be tight.
Space available with or without RV. Lots of TV parking, completely off the road.
Mammoth Cave National Park, GM's Corvette plant and Museum, wonderful family-friendly Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league ballpark, Lost River Cave, Western Kentucky University, and Beech Bend Amusement and Waterpark (also drag racing, car meets, swaps, etc.) and Cheney’s Dairy Barn nearby!
Franklin is a delightful small town with a town square, local entertainment, great food, coffee shops, and the historic Frosty Freeze. Both areas offer a TON of eating opportunities, shopping, good medical care. We are about 50 miles north of Nashville, TN.
Donna and Steve("The Cowboy") came out as we arrived and helped us get parked and we gladly paid them $5 for their electric hookup. Once we got settled, we took advantage of their invite and went up to their beautiful log home for a look and brief visit. Neat home and wonderful couple. Their horses and scenic pasture were a special experience. Totally delightful!! Steve & Pam M.
The host was wonderful. She walked us to the site and let us know where could set up. The views were awe-filled: horses, hills, full moon, stars. We are so grateful we were offered the opportunity to stay on their property. Thank you
We stayed at the beautiful Honeyshuck farm for one night on our way to TX.
The farm has horses and a cow these animals are very friendly. It is a very peaceful and scenic farm.
Huntsville farm cowboys are very welcoming and friendly. They gave us electricity and water which was very helpful and even helped us with the parking and hook up.
Sensing our interest in the area they gave us some brochures for sightseeing in the area.
The driving directions given by them while leaving saved us driving time compared to what the GPS was showing.
We got to our destination later in the day so we didn’t do much exploring. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay very much. Donna and Steve made us feel so welcomed and comfortable on their beautiful property. Close location when traveling on hwy 65. We watched a beautiful sunset in the evening, and in the morning we were greeted by their friendly horses who loved being pet. We sure appreciate Donna and Steve for allowing us to stay on their property while we were traveling from FL back to WI. These are great people and you will feel very safe and welcomed on their property.
Our hosts we're very kind and gracious. Met us as we arrived to show us where to park. Got a great nights rest in this quiet and secluded spot.
Enjoyed a 2 night stay. Was able to go out and see the historic Shaker Museum nearby, and visit the Dairy Farm and Restaurant that tbey recommended. Hope to stop on way north next spring.
It is a little off the beaten path to get there BUT it is well worth it. We stayed a couple of nights and the only noise you may hear is one of the horses close by. A beautiful area just to ride around and see the country. The host were very helpful with the sites and of course places to eat in the area. The cell service is weak and the wi-fi services is very limited but that is easy overlook with all the other perks. Really nice and welcoming host thanks for sharing your place with us. Would definitely like to stop in again!
We really enjoyed our time with TheCowboy. The hosts have a lovely piece of land and house with lots of fireflies and birds, as well as chickens and horses. The host gave us a great place to park where it was quiet and peaceful, and we even got to check out and watch her feed the chickens, which we really liked.
Both hosts were super kind and made us feel very welcome. You can't beat how pretty this part of Kentucky is, so green and lush!
Great couple guided us back to parking spot. Very helpful with finding gas and food. Very easy for maintaining social distancing. Met their friendly horses, who really love Peppermint. Great places to walk the dogs. Cool evenings for sitting outside. Btw camping world not to far away. Would definitely go back if going through again.
Wonderful location and perfect, private, place for our RV. Beautiful view which was only surpassed by our friendly hosts. Their two horses became part of our family for those two days. My best memory permanently memorialized in a photo wherein Kathy is head down shoveling out the barn! Of course I participated by grooming the horses under the watchful eyes of Buster, the family dog.
Great stay: thank you both!
Had a beautiful two night stay seeing area and the host shared some great places to stop into close by. We had a marvelous time here and hope that our paths will cross again, and that they one day may camp with us on our farm. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Than you both.
Had a lovely overnight stay at Honeyshuck Farms. Hosts greeted us as we arrived to show us where to park and introduce us to their two horses. Some nice social distance conversation and then they gave us privacy. Walked to the creek, saw fireflies and a pretty sunset. Nice sunrise in the morning too and we departed early. Thanks so much for our first Boondockers.com stay.
We had a delightful 2-night stay at Honeyshuck Farms. It was a tranquil farm setting complete with a barn, horses, chickens and a friendly dog. The hosts were extremely thoughtful and just great people. They went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. We will certainly go back at some point and highly recommend this place to anyone.
TheCowboy was very helpful in assisting us with directions. Beautiful ranch and a wonderful host. Our travel trailer is 27' and that makes turning in the driveway a bit challenging. I would echo the hosts' recommendation of coming in from the north as if heading down from Bowling Green. I approached from the other direction and needed to pass by and get turned around to facilitate turning into their driveway. Quiet, beautiful location, kayaking in progress at the bridge over creek withing walking distance from hosts' property. No signal with T-Mobile, no idea about other carriers. Thank you to TheCowboy for a great experience!
If you need to rewind from a long drive, Honeyshuck Farms is a must on your way. It's such a serene environment and you'll make new friends with 2 beautiful horses and a playful dog besides Donna, the host, of course. She will make you feel at home, so much so that you will remember your stay for a long time. The signal for your phone might not be steady (maybe it was my own network) but if you need internet, they will provide a connection. Thank you for this wonderful weekend.
Much success to you!
Had a great time in a beautiful place! I had never stayed in this area before and really enjoyed the scenery. My hosts were very kind and accommodating. We didn't have much visit time before of social distancing. Highly recommend putting this on your travel list!
My stay with these hosts was quite and peaceful. Great hosts and beautiful countryside. My dog and enjoyed taking an evening walk to the local creek. Next time I hope to stay longer than one night.
It was such a privilege to spend some time at this beautiful place! Especially with so nice hosts! I would really like to go back another time.
Such a beautiful and peaceful place in the country. And very helpful and welcoming hosts although respecting the requirements in this period of “social distancing”. Thanks for everything!
We got stuck in a heavy rainfall and weren't going to make it to our planned destination. Hosts accepted our last minute request super fast. We were extremely grateful for the quick reply and a safe place to park for the night and wait out the storm. Beautiful property to wake up to in the morning. Thank you!
wow what a beautiful site, with the horses. TheCowboy received us so warmly. they are super nice. we would have liked to stay longer. this site is highly recommended.
Thank you to have received us
Lise & Mario
It's a safe and quiet place. We had a good night and it's a nice place to relax.
Thanks for a beautiful place to rest on your ranch. We had a short stay but couldn’t ask for a better place. Eddie
After an 8 hour drive in the rain, this was a welcome stop! Perfect for an overnight with a beautiful morning sunrise over the pasture. Thank you to our hosts for such a nice spot and helping us get set up for the night.
What a nice spot to spend the night.
Thank you to my hosts for letting me take a pause in my journey.
I hope they will venture to Wisconsin So I may reciprocate.
We had a nice stay here, despite the snow and cold weather. Our hosts we very welcoming, and having a power hookup was wonderful. We enjoyed watching the cows and horses out our window.
Very accommodating and friendly hosts helped us get situated and checked in with us several times during our stay. They even provided us with some info for exploring Bowling Green (about 20 minute drive).
Parking location offers great sunrise views over the pasture with several morning visitors (they were curious but never made a sound)
TheCowboy was a really kind host. Nice, level place to park, horses and cows and great fall colors all around. Just what I needed for 3 days!
