We have a 12 ac parcel of raw land near Merritt, BC on a salmon running stream which lots of local wildlife enjoy; Deer, eagles, osprey, hummingbirds and an occasional black bear when salmon are running.
Weather is warm and dry throughout the summer with winters being crisp and cold. We are just a couple of hours from the prime Okanagan fruit and wine regions and tours.
Our property is an historic creek bed so we have zero topsoil but are working hard to create some planting zones using dead tree trunks and bringing in mushroom manure. When/if using the electric hookup we ask for a donation of a small plant suitable for zone 4 rather than anything monetary.

House Rules

Be Fire aware!! Before lighting fire, please check with us or the forestry campfire advisory. Use fire ring provided and keep fires contained. Any and all smoking items must be extinguished before being dropped throughout summer (early May thru end of September)
No generators running after 10pm

Access Road Conditions

A gravel road for 1 mile ..... maintained in fairly good shape.

Great Stay

We had a great stay at McJannett's. They are the nicest couple you are likely to meet and we enjoyed an evening of very informative conversation. They have many interesting stories of their RV travels. Hope to stop in again sometime.

Boondockers' Paradise

We stayed two nights with our 30 ft motorhome on this beautiful and spacious property. The hosts were amazing. We had lots of privacy right by the creek. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it!
