Our property is a lot of fun. We constantly have bonfires at the fire pit, neighbors coming and going, and during "lake season" we usually have guests coming and going. The lake is accessible 2.7 miles (from our driveway to the actual boat ramp). The boat ramp is public access. The area also has a spot to swim, a little bit of beach area, and a great place to sling a hammock. Swimming is at your own risk. The lake is extremely active with boats, jet skis, etc. There is a local company that will deliver kayaks and paddle boats to the door. If you want to set this up, let us know and we will help you. We can also help with restaurant, shopping, and grocery locations. There is every thing from upscale dining, to the best "dive" Mexican food you will ever eat - ever.
Pets are welcome; however, they must be friendly to kids and other pets. We have 2 large breed dogs (Great Pyr, and Dalmatian/Pointer Mix). Our dogs are well socialized, but they won't tolerate an aggressive dog on the property. They have experience with all size dogs. The Great Pyr is "besties" with a Maltese/Toy Poodle mix. We also have 3 kids, and usually have friends over with kids too. Your pets must be able to tolerate the commotion of lots of kids playing outside. Sometimes friends bring their doggies too. WE DO NOT MAKE ANY GUARANTEES REGARDING THE PETS. BRING THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Electric hookup is available at $10 a night.
We are available by text or phone call should you need to contact us during your stay. We are usually coming and going from the property and are happy to let you "do your own thing" or "mingle and hang out" with us if we are around.
There is a fire pit in the backyard; however, our community has very strict guidelines regarding when you can and can not burn. Please ask hosts if you would like a bonfire. If it is possible, we will be happy to help you get one started. Just be mindful of your timing, the fire would need to be fully out by 10 pm.
Out of respect to our neighbors, the surrounding nature and critters, and our own family we require quiet time on the property beginning at 10 pm and remaining through 7 am. Please plan to be inside your unit by 10 pm and keep noise to a minimum.
Be respectful of the property and surrounding nature. We require you follow the "leave no trace" principles of camping. We can provide a link explaining these principles if needed.
No smoking on property.
All children and pets must be supervised at all times.
We prefer you be gone by 11 am on the weekends, and 9 am on workdays.
All trash, etc. must be taken out by you. Our community and trash service have strict guidelines regarding trash disposal, and we are not able to accommodate taking your trash.
We live in a lake community neighborhood. Our property is fully gated. To give an idea of spacing, a Ford F250 and 25 ft by 8ft travel trailer are able to slowly drive through the neighborhood and fit through our gate. The driveway is paved. Your vehicle will park on mulched yard litter (dead leaves, twigs, and fallen limbs go through our chipper shredder and we use it to mulch the parking spot).
There is room to pull forward onto the driveway, park the RV, and then back down the drive way to park your towing vehicle on the mulched parking spot.
We "flexible date" plan our own adventures in our own camper, so dates may be blocked off because we are planning to be away. Feel free to give us a shout and see if we can accommodate you on a blocked out date.
