Since the RV location is on the farm and near the barn, we are concerned about fires. Having said that, there is a Webber BBQ that can be used on the farm porch. We are located directly across from the Fair Grounds and close to Hwy 11 (although there is no direct access). The location of the actual RV site is very pretty and walkable to Town. During the week, Gene is there from about 5:30 pm and I 'pop' in and out during the days. We are often around on the weekends. If you have time, you can easily rent kayaks and canoes to enjoy on many of our small rivers and lakes. There many great restaurants and entertainment close by. Suggested Local Attractions:If you have young children, Santa's Village is an amazing attraction. There are also numerous street fairs and activities usually every weekend. Algonquin Park is about 30 minutes and there are some wonderful biking/hiking trails nearby.

House Rules
NO fires or smoking on the property due to the concern of barn (I believe it is over 100 years old) Young children must be watched carefully around the donkey. Although Ned is friendly, he is still an animal. Ned LOVES carrots...but only give one or two. All gates must be kept closed and no going into the paddock with Ned. The barn (and kittens) are available only when Gene and I are there. But the most important rule is 'that you must have fun!'.

My husband and I absolutely enjoy meeting other RVers Details: By trade, I am a researcher and community developer. My husband and his siblings own an excavation and septic company in the area. Both of us are born and raised in Bracebridge, although I have travelled to over 20 countries. My husband...not so many. However, we both love to meet new people and share our knowledge of the area, as well as learn more about where others come from and there travelling experiences. Home Town: We live in Bracebridge, ON... a town located in the middle of the District of Muskoka. We are surrounded by trees, water (1,600 lakes and 19 watersheds), and beautiful rock as we are on the starting point of the Canadian Shield. There are many activities happening although out the late spring to late fall. We own a house on a small lake and have a farm on the edge of town...we enjoy the best of both worlds. Skills or Expertise to Share: I am an excellent community organizer, fundraiser, website builder, event coordinator and researcher. My husband LOVES to dig holes and tear down buildings although, for both of us, it would be more about consulting due to time constraints. Pet: We have a cute 1 year old Shih Tzu name Beau. We are extremely respectful and responsible pet owners.

There was W/E/S, deck and furnitured porch only for us. I wish we had met hosts but felt like we were on the pretty vacation site made only for us. Bracebridge is a pretty small town with falls and streets full of cute stores. I have seen people reading books on the bench with a cup of coffee. There was places to kayak and stroll. I should’ve stay more than one night. Another great stay. Thanks
