Was a small homestead. But most of the property has been sold and now we maintain 13 acres and a pond. We have several spots to choose from with a slight down hill grade.
None at this time.
Down a hill on to dirt and sand drive way.
Next to the rig or about
The Masters and local golf . Fort Gordon and the Cyber Center. The Augusta Canal and Peterburg boats,

Our first Boondocks and it was great! We arrived late due to an accident on Interstate. Host was helpful in setting up in the dark and we had a cozy night! Kept our fifth wheel connected to truck and used our 50 ft cord/30 amp pigtail to connect to electric. Easy to disconnect and get back on the road! Thanks for a great experience!
We had a great stay with Lookout Acres! It was super quiet and conveniently located with plenty of flat space to park. Our host was very welcoming. We look forward to staying here again!
It was nice to see host again since last year. They are very friendly and nice. The atmosphere is country and peaceful and I enjoyed playing with their little dog. Hope to see them again some time!
Just needed on overnight stay on our way north. It's an easy access location, but not right next to traffic noise. I'm a pretty light sleeper, and I slept very well. Thank you for your hospitality!
So close to everything yet you feel like your far away. Quiet spot with great hosts and an adorable daisy dog. My big dog loved playing and supervising the hosts as they did their yard work haha! I extended my stay and would absolutely stop here again!
We had a great stay at Lookout Acres. Very peaceful. The host was great and helped me with a frozen water hose when temperatures dipped one night. Would love to visit again some time.
Great place and people. Dogs had a great time in the free run area.
The location is beautiful and the people are warm-hearted and kind thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
Easy access from I-20 and while located close to shopping, restaurants and downtown Augusta it's truly peaceful. Added benny, even in December, leaves were just changing. Beautiful with plenty of room for our big rig to turn around. Easy 20 min drive to downtown Augusta. Went to the Riverwalk. It's in a business district. Got our steps in but went to the hill for dinner - Arsenal Taproom & Kitchen. Definitely recommend. Limited food menu but super yummy and well prepared. Darn, forgot to get some of the farm fresh eggs. Guess we'll have to stop on our way back. :-) Thanks for hosting us.
Our host were very welcoming and helped orient to the area.
Responded quickly and allowed an arrival after sunset, just a minutes drive from HWY 20, and wonderfully quiet lot tucked back in off the road. Would definitely stay again!
A wonderful stay at Lookout Acres! So close and convenient to The HWY but it feels like a world away. We are in a large rig and it was an easy in and pull thru site. There was a large fenced in pasture for my dog to run and play. He was so happy!
Host was friendly and welcoming. Hopefully we will get the chance for a longer stay!
Located just off I-20, Lookoutacres makes for the perfect stop for a night. Our host provided both water and electricity for a small fee. Highly recommended.
Welcoming host; we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the tips given as we are newbies at RVing which I think was obvious when we tried to park but it was very spacious. Definitely a great place to stay and hope to return when visiting family in the area again.
Level yard to park with plenty of space to maneuver. Quiet area yet convenient to the interstate. Thankful for such friendly and lovely hosts.
So quiet even though it is close to the interstate. And the hosts are extremely accommodating. Thank you for the rest.
We enjoyed our stay here, and spent a great time talking with Jerry and Maxine. But proximity to electrical and water outlets was on a section of the yard that was uneven (our electrical cord is 30 feet), which resulted in our tongue not being able to go low enough. Since we were just staying for the single night, I was hoping not to have to disconnect the weight distribution bars, but had to do so to lower the tongue more. I ran out of room for more down-tongue due to contact with the earth, so the best we could get was 1/2 bubble, which was OK and safe inside for walking. I really hate to say anything negative about the site, because it was a really nice place, with warm welcoming hosts. We would certainly stay again!
Very helpful and nice hosts. Enjoyed sitting outside talking with other guests who also were on the property. Gave us some fresh veggies which were delicious! Enjoyed playing with their doggie, Daisy.
Recommend this location for some R&R or a quick stay
Lookout Acres is a beautiful piece of land that is convenient to the city but very quiet and peaceful! We enjoyed our stay very much which included interesting conversation and friendly pets! We would definitely come back and stay again!
Nice big Meadow to park in. Nice fenced area for dogs to run in.
A very pleasant stay was had. A most friendly and accommodating host!
We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay at Lookout Acres. We plugged in at Jerry’s barn and after visiting with Jerry, we settled in for a peaceful night on the farm. Slept great and slipped away by 9 am. Would recommend Lookout Acres to anyone seeking a space to stay in the Augusta, Ga area. A five star stay!
This couple is the nicest couple in the world. And it’s a beautiful hidden away country site so peaceful and relaxing. I am so blessed that they let me rest here . I would recommend this stay to everyone. Thanks again🤗
Lookout Acres was an amazing Boondockers Welcome experience! Upon arrival, our host came out to greet us and explained where we could park and connect to water and 20amp electricity, which is cleverly tied to a 30amp outlet, so no draw down concerns. When he saw me working on my RV's taillight, he came outside and offered assistance. The location is great! Close to everything, but feels like you are in the middle of the country! Good cell coverage (AT&T & Verizon confirmed) and easy access made for a great visit. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely try to stay at Lookout Acres!
Lookoutacres was a perfect place to stay. There is a large field and plenty of room: Close to town, yet very private and secluded. The hosts were truly kind and helpful. I was supposed to only stay one night, but arrived with a flat tire. Without hesitation they allowed me to stay 2 days and also offered a tour of the garden and lots of fresh veggies and berries too. Just a kind and generous couple! And their pup, Daisy, is such a sweetheart. I felt so at home and welcomed. Thank you so much... it was a gift to land in your lives for a couple days :-)
We totally loved our stay at Lookoutacres. There is plenty of space and after a little time we got level. Hosts were fantastic, super friendly. Helped us find a place and let me borrow a 30 amp extension cord so I could reach the 20 amp/30amp receptacle plug in. It was hot when we arrived so we paid the $5 a day for hookups. Well worth it to have AC!!! First evening Lookoutacres shared some cucumbers and squash from their garden and it was delicious. Location is private and quiet. When we got ready to leave we were given a big bag of freshly picked blueberries for the road. Sooo Good. Highly recommend that if you are in the area and looking for a place to spend a night or three you contact Lookoutacres.
Couldn't have been a better stay! Very accommodating and gracious hosts!
Only a few minutes off of I-20, this perfect boondocking venue is only shadowed by the wonderful hospitality that welcomes you upon your arrival.
We had no problem maneuvering our 40’ rig into the area we were directed to. Grassy area that was not difficult to level out on. Country quiet night.
Our pups were welcomed into a great big fenced area they used to use for their free range chicks. Which made them super happy to be able to run free.
If you are in this area and looking for a place to stop, don’t pass this gem by!!
Very easy to find. Met by Mr lookout acres as we drove up, he showed us where to park. We talked a little about the virus pandemic and a little more small talk. Then we got setup. Very dark and quiet night. Very personable man super spot for boondocking . Good tv reception on antenna. Thank you for making this possible.
This location is easy in-easy out. Our host met us as we drove in and showed us where to park and where to hook up to power and water. Our hosts were friendly and fun. Great conversation.
Thankful that our host could accommodate us on short notice. We had a great and quiet night and the only noise we heard were the toads which was quite nice.
Perfect spot to explore the area and would come back here if in area and accepted off course.
Host met us and offered many parking options, with or without hookups. Nice open acreage and nice hosts.
Great stop on our road trip. Owner met us and gave us many options to park for our overnight stop. Peace and quiet off the beaten path. Thanks for hosting us.
Lookout Acres allowed us plenty of room to position our Airstream and tow vehicle. The host (his wife was gone for the day) warmly welcomed us and was helpful in every way. His 10 month old dog and our 4 yr old dog 'roughhouse-played' on numerous occasions which was a true delight to behold - so much so that our canine was quite sad to leave behind a frolickingly fun friend the next morning.
We highly recommend this BW location, and will definitely come calling when we find ourselves in the Augusta, GA area again. Thank You. Thank You.

Lookout Acres is wonderful, as is the host. I had a restful visit and everything was just great. My only regret is that I did not get to meet his wife as well. Maybe another time, who knows. I highly recommend the hosts and location!
Convenient spot for our first Boondocking experience. Hosts were available and friendly as was the other guest. Our dog had a blast playing with their dog Lily when we got there and in the morning before we left. Took me awhile to send this have been off line at Kolomoki
Great quiet spot! Jerry met us and got us settled in when we arrived. Lily and our dog Loki had a great time running around and playing!
Beautiful and peaceful!
We were welcomed warmly upon arrival. Our 35 ft rv plus Jeep toad had plenty of space to park and pull around without having to unhook. Great flat land. Our kiddos watched the stars at night on a blanket. Hope to stop by on our way through again sometime!
Our overnight stay was a wonderful experience! Our hosts were so very gracious and accommodating! We enjoyed talking with them, as well as their fabulous pets! We would recommend this lovely couple to others.
We totally enjoyed our stay! Easy to find and a very nice open and quite space. The communication was great and they were super flexible on us changing our arrival date due to a service issue of ours. Jerry and his wife met us upon arrival and were super accommodating and enjoyed our conversations. If passing through the area again, we would definitely come back for another visit!
This was a great place to stay. The hosts were super nice and accommodating. Our dogs played together in a huge fenced in area and had a blast together. Would highly recommend.
Host greeted us coming in and helped on where to park. Very easy going. Was invited to come in for a visit, so after we were settled in, we went in and had a great visit with some great conversation.
Thank you so much.
Hosts at Lookoutacres were very gracious and welcoming. I felt right at home.
Communication was excellent and directions were spot on. Easy access and parking for my 35' 5th wheel and LWB truck.
Our hosts are wonderful and down to earth folks who have a great place to set up and stay a while. We were greeted promptly and encouraged to park our 37 foot monster where ever we felt most comfortable. We found a level spot and were provided with the necessary hookups for our stay. Their dog was very friendly and we think our dog enjoyed his stay just as much as we did, if not more. We felt comfortable letting our well minded dog out to run in the yard with their pup. They even suggested a fenced area for our dog, in the event that we needed one. They are good folk with a great piece of property and we think any guest would enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. We will surely be back to stay when we're through the area again. Great hosts, great value and a great experience, thank you, so much!
We really enjoyed our stay at Lookoutacres. The location feels rural, yet it's only minutes to the big-city amenities. Even before we arrived, our hosts were very flexible, both with our change in arrival date and in allowing us to have some parts we needed shipped to their house in advance of our arrival. When we arrived, our host went out of his way to make sure we were settled, offering water, electricity and even quickly cutting a few boards for us to help level our rig. We have several brief but enjoyable chats with both of our hosts, and would look forward to staying here again.
Beautiful location. Quiet and peaceful. Jerry is a wonderful host. Easy access to Ft Gordon. Jerry supplied me with 20amp service and even lent me an extension cord! God bless you and your family Jerry.
Nice folks with good taste in travel trailers (theirs is very similar to ours). Good, quiet country spot only 5 min. from a busy intersection on I-20 with all kinds of services. We hope to stop by again in our travels.
We enjoyed our stay. There was more than enough room, easy to get to and get settled. We parked near the barn which was a very nice backdrop for our visit. We got to meet some fellow boondockers for a few of the day’s we were there. We enjoyed chatting with the host and playing with the puppy! The canals and hiking/biking trails are worth the trip! Thanks for a great stay.
This is an oasis close to the small city of Augusta.
Very quiet, good hosts and less than 15 minutes to downtown attractions, the canal bike trails and even a mall!
We had a wonderful stay with "Lookout" and hope to get back when there's less rain to interrupt our sight seeing.
Don't miss their chocolate covered fruitcake morsels, wow!
We had such a wonderful stay at Lookout Acres! It was very easy to find and right off the highway. They were wonderful hosts! The site they had us park was very easy to get in and out of! Our dogs also enjoyed the HUGE fenced in off leash area. It definitely set the bar high for other boondocker welcome sites. Oh and if you get the chance you must buy a fruitcake from them! We had never had a fruitcake and it was amazing!!! It also it’s how they support their travels. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back. Thank you!
Host was accommodating and fun to chat with for a bit before time to get some sleep.
I got there later than expected (about 5:45 pm) and was glad the boondocking spot was easy to get to and pretty flat. I didn’t even need to unhook or use leveling blocks.
