We have very quiet location off a dead end township road. Electric hookup is available to avoid generator use.
If you treat our place like it’s yours we will get along just fine! That means enjoy it and leave it like you found it. We have 20 acres so let your dog, cat, horse, or any other livestock you travel with, run wild. If it poops in the yard - well you should know what to do with it . . . . if not, I do, you may find a surprise in one of your compartments?
Gravel drive off a paved township road. Plenty of room to turn around at the end of our driveway.
Large gravel parking area for rig and tow vehicle.
We make our location available for the year on April 1. But who knows what the weather will do, so if we should get a late snowstorm, that could effect access.
The Mississippi River and all its splendor. Wineries, craft beer, distilleries, on every corner, hey it’s Wisconsin! And of course cheese factories, dairy farms and the Amish. We are part of the driftless region, so hills, bluffs and winding roads. Hiking and biking trails and trout streams. We take it for granted, but visitors tell us it is one the prettiest areas they have visited. Fall colors - WOW !
Many thanks to Dave and Jerri for the opportunity to stay at their beautiful home. TheIr land is spectacular and the fall colors made it particularly awesome. Dave helped us find a perfect spot for our motorhome and was so genuinely accommodating. The next morning we took a short walk and were greeted by friendly, curious cows. So fun! Can’t say enough about this gracious couple!
Maybe this should be called 'A Little Bit of Heaven', because that's what it felt like!! This is our new favorite Boondockers location! Jerri greeted us when we arrived. Once we were set up, she brought out her 'information sheet' which covered everything from address/phone for emergencies, counties for weather radio, policies, things to do in and around the area, places to wine and dine, etc. We visited for a bit, and went about our own thing. She greeted us the following morning with more information and asked if we had any questions. Upon our mid-day return, we visited and shared wine with both Jerri & Dave. Our last morning there, we again visited with both and hated to leave - we felt like we had made such great new friends!! While all the views from this location were beautiful, the view from the top of the hill is spectacular!! We hope to come back and stay here again in the future.
Jerri was a wonderful host. She met us in the driveway and guided us in. She offered up her beautiful patio near the garden for us to enjoy the views. Unfortunately the weather was cold and rainy, but we were still able to take in the landscape. We wish we had planned to stay longer than one night to really enjoy all that the area had to offer.
We enjoyed our time at BackAcres with the quiet and peaceful grounds. Even the courteous cow didn’t make a sound. A great place in the rolling green hills.
Doc and I had a wonderful time on there property. They were very helpful and kind. They gave me some ideas of things to do which turned out to be a lot of fun. Doc and I appreciated them letting us stay on their property.
We so enjoyed are two quite nights at there place! Beautiful property and area! Hosts were super nice, friendly and welcoming! Thank you!
David and Jerri were incredibly nice and accommodating. We arrived later than anticipated, and they actually waited up for us to make sure that we could get parked without issues. And then, they offered us coffee in the morning! Highly recommend a night or two here.
I am not sure that I could ever leave a review good enough for this host. The property was stunning and they set us up with a nice private spot overlooking some unexpectedly beautiful mountains. We were having issues with our solar upon arrival and our system was tripping the lower voltage line so the host wired up a 30 amp hookup on the spot for us! They gave us fantastic recommendations on hikes in the area and a local vineyard. All in all they made us feel more than comfortable and invited us out for a fire on our final evening to share stories. Definitely a slice of paradise they have there. We hope to cross paths with them again someday. 11/10.
We stayed at their ranch for two days while we had business in La Crosse. Their setting is absolutely beautiful with a long view across their pasture to the valley beyond. Dave and Jerri were very accommodating hosts: Dave moved his tractor so we could pull up parallel to the machine shed and enjoy the view across the valley. They also loaned us their fire ring, which we rolled across to our camper and enjoyed a fire each night. Dave and Jerri joined us the first evening where we enjoyed getting to know each other. Their son even shared some of his recently picked morel mushrooms - what a treat!
Wonderful experience after we got there. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. Wish they were our neighbors. Would recommend this stop for anyone.
This site was in the country, quiet and overlooking the beauty of the surrounding valleys. Our hosts greeted us, showed us where to park, helped us hook up our electric and then let us get set up. They invited us to their deck for a visit and drinks. They shared some of the local parks and places to see. We had a nice visit getting to know each other. We stayed two nights and we could see the trees change color on the hills. There's lots of beauty to see from the cliffs above the Mississippi. Good ice cream shop (The Pearl) in Lacrosse!! Don't miss it! When passing through the area, we will be sure to make time to stay at this site again.
We had a great stay! The kids loved playing with the dog, seeing the cows, and chatting up our hosts. :) It's a beautiful spot!
Dave & Jerri are excellent hosts. I wish I could have stayed longer. Their house and yard is peaceful & beautiful and they are just simply the nicest people. I enjoyed my stay with them very much.
The surrounding area of this location is so beautiful and atop the hill of this spot is breathtaking!! Perfect end to our overnight date! Thank you so much!
