We have a large well maintened farmyard with cattle and horses nearby. Neighbors have a buffalo herd just across the road from us.We are situated 5 miles NW of Souris Manitoba.
The local park has a beautiful swimming pool, with water slides. Peacocks wander freely on the town streets. Canada’s longest swinging bridge is also located in Souris along with a museum, art gallery and good variety of restaurants.
It is a working farm with equipment and animals so children need to be careful and or surpervised at all times.
Common courtesy is requested, please clean up garbage and dispose in proper containers. Dogs need to be on leash or under control at all times as we have farm animals and pets around.
Just over 2 miles of well maintained gravel road and a 1/2 mile gravel lane.
Lots of room to park any tow vehicle. We have a large farm yard to share. Depending on services required may need to back in closer to buildings.
Our hosts at Goodwill Farms were our introduction to Boondocking. They couldn't have been more welcoming. Horses, hay and morning coffee together. Thank-you thank-you . Love a handy man.
Fantastic hosts :)
Friendly Gabby !
Great place in every way :)
The Goodwills were the perfect hosts and provided a lovely place to stay! We also visited the town of Souris to see the wandering peacocks and the swinging bridge. Thanks for your hospitality!
Hospitality was excellent! The hostess took the time to give our daughter a tour of the farm. She really enjoyed the horses. It was a lovely working farm. Friendly and gracious hosts. Would definitely revisit.
This is my second time at Goodwill Farms and it was just as special as the first time.
Wonderful generous hosts and a lovely farm. We really enjoyed our visit and comparing our experiences. We hope to see them again.
Awesome couple greeted us upon arrival. The site was perfect for a good night sleep. Private, water and power. Highly recommended and will certainly keep in my favourite
Totally enjoyed our stay, our talks and our visit in Souris. Learning how others live in this big old world is so amazing. The host were perfectly gracious and knowledgeable, and helped with the town attractions. When ever we are out this way again, this would be a must return. Thanks for some great memories.
While crossing Canada we had the pleasure of spending a night at this picturesque farm. Great people, amazing scenery, lots of room, and very knowledgeable about farming and RV’ing.
What a super place to park in nature. We had our own little area set up for coffee/wine and feeding the horses was fun. Our hosts entertained us each night and there were lots of stories swapped and information exchanged. The little town of Souris was very cute and we enjoyed the WiFi at the local coffee shop over a well brewed cappuccino. Of course we had to walk the swinging bridge and check out the peacocks. A wonderful stay with wonderful salt of the earth people. Thanks for your generosity, and kindness, and hope to see you south this winter.
The hosts were so welcoming and offered me many different sites to choose from for the night. It was so peaceful and relaxing that I wish that I could have stayed longer.
The farm artifacts, displayed so artistically on walls and around various trees, made you feel like you were stepping back in time.
It was also nice to meet two other human members of the family, along with the horses, cows, cats and dog. What a friendly bunch! 😃
Thankyou to our wonderful hosts! The spot for our trailer was like a B&B with everything we needed for a great stay. We loved the opportunity to visit with your animals and hearing your boondocking experiences.
We hope to visit again in the future!
Joe and Lynn were wonderful hosts that made us feel welcome and safe.
Thank you for sharing your space for us Boondockers!
We’d like to thank jlgoodwill for a wonderful night at their farm. We enjoyed every moment from a warm welcome, meeting the horses, lovely chats and a beautiful starry night.
Thank you for your hospitality.
Great stay, lovely people. They were great hosts on a working farm. Thanks for all the info and letting us give the horses treats. Best of luck on your travels we'll think of you as we tackle the Yukon!!!! See you in B.C. One of those days.
Thank you again for a great stay. We loved visiting with the hosts and the animals! The kids loved it too! This is one of our favourite boondocking spots to visit. If we are in the area again we will definitely be back 😊
What a great final stopover on our trip from Vancouver Island, for our last visit with Boondockers Welcome hosts, before reaching home near Winnipeg! Beautiful camp spot, great site and services, farm setting, and gracious friendly people. Animal lovers paradise, and three new friends, our hosts and Cammy, their dog. Plan to return next trip west.
Such a beautiful place! Lots of cows and horses and peaceful. Would visit again for sure!
A very positive and unique experience in a beautiful setting with great, experienced BW hosts made our stay here a highlight of our trip across Canada.
Easy access with our 45' truck and trailer in an area that is picturesque, in southern Manitoba farm country.
We were travelling across Canada in December and with a same day request, our hosts at Goodwill, totally welcomed us to stay. Super accommodating and lovely spot. Our stay was short so we would love to go back and meet the farm animals. 😉
What a cute farm with lots of horses and cows. The hosts were helpful and kind. We loved meeting and feeding some of the horses. Beautiful property. Thanks for hosting us.
We had a short but sweet (and cold) stay at this beautiful farm! The hosts were kind and sincere! We were even introduced to some of their gorgeous horses! Highly recommend and hope to stay again on our return trip in warmer weather!
I stayed here for 2 nights. The weather was unseasonably cold but the hosts were extremely warm. Nice farm with cows and very friendly horses. Great dog, Camy (sp?), friendly cats.
The host was very helpful with some issues I continue to have on this trip and I would like to return in better times to get to know them.
Our stay with Joe and Lynn was like coming home to visit family. Lynn has decorated the yard just for us boondocks. Howard enjoyed talking farming with Joe and so did I. Directions were bang on. Next time were staying a couple of night. We went into town and walked the swimming bridge. Just great
We would like to thank you for a fascinating experience, one we won't soon forget. The kindness you showed us was more than appreciated. We wish you all the best!
Our hosts made our very first Boondockers Welcome experience exceptional! Not only were they warm and welcoming but the site for the RV was perfect. On top of all that they took us to visit the bison and we toured and fed the cows and horses! If we had to rate our stay out of 10, we'd give it a 20+!!
Great place to stay the night ...l was able to hook up to water and have a nice shower and then fill my water tank fir the road.
I felt right at home .
I am in Souris now to walk the suspension bridge
The Goodwill Farm is a beautiful representation of farm life in rural Manitoba! Spectacular views of sprawling acres of fields, and friendly horses and cattle to visit with as well. The Hosts were as friendly and accommodating as can be! We loved hearing their stories, sharing company, and being introduced to their beautiful cows. We couldn’t be more thankful for the privilege of visiting, and hope we can again soon!
A peaceful and absolutely delightful place to stay. They have a great set up for boondocking that makes you feel so welcome.
Great conversation at night. In the morning, they invited us to tour around their farm. We got to hang out with horses and cows! On our way out we stopped to watch the herd of bison across the way. Fabulous!
Jlgoodw once again made us feel very welcome. A beautiful location and amazing hosts! Thanks again!
The amazing Boondockers Welcome community came through again! jlgoodw are the most welcoming and friendly hosts. We had an enjoyable evening with them on their porch chatting about life. They have the most beautiful spot which they encouraged us to explore and they welcomed us to join them as they fed the cows and horses!!!
Thanks so much! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
These folks were so kind. We arrived late and in the rain, but they were very gracious and helped us with positioning. In the morning, they kindly showed us around their farm. Just a great break from driving. Thank you.
Goodwill Farms is a must stop for Boondockers who are looking for a place to stay near Souris. The farm is quiet and lovely, the hosts gracious and welcoming. T. very much enjoyed the gift of a garden fresh tomato for lunch; thanks, L. Goodwill Farms is a real asset to the Boondocking Club.

The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly. Their property is beautiful and a couple of miles from the highway and so is very quiet and restful. We would highly recommend this location!
We had a very nice time at jlgoodw.
We were late but still we had a nice chat in the evening.
In the morning we saw the farm and talked about traveling
We got a paper with suggestions in the neighborhood and we choose international Peace Garden( no internet)

jlgoodw couldn't be more informative, helpful and kind.
Felt like being at an old friends place and we were very sad to leave.
They were very passionate about theyre beautiful farm and gave us a very informative tour.
Stunning location, nice nearby town with a great reasonably priced laundromat at the gas station.
We shared a lovely evening and hope we cross paths again one day.
This was definitely our best boondocking experience so far! Our hosts were amazing: they really made us feel like home, they took their time to show us around and explain to us how their lifestyle is with the farm and everything. (So great for animals lovers like us!) It was such an interesting experience and we really enjoyed sharing our stories with the both of you. We hope to have you stay in our place someday! Thank you again xxx
