We have a hobby farm with small animals such as guineas and chickens. Use to have goats and ducks but have been downsizing over the last couple of years. We have over 40 pecan trees, a stocked pond and woods in the back of the property. Very peaceful with great neighbors. We absolutely love dogs but have a working Great Pyrenees so he considers strange animals on the property a threat to the livestock so pets can be an issue. We are happy to discuss exceptions with proper notice and the ability to ensure everything is safe for any pets.
No smoking on property.
No running generations after 10PM.
No pets due to farm having a working Great Pyrenees however with some planning might be able to make exceptions.
No young children without prior permission
We are a small farm and have a well kept gravel driveway entering into the property off of a paved road. We do have a gate with an overhang so the height of any RV coming into the property MUST be less than 12 feet.
Parking area on our private driveway for any toad vehicle which would be in close proximity of visitor's RV.
We are 30 minutes from Lake Texoma and about 45 minutes to the Choctaw Casino in OK. Also about a hour north of the Dallas area.
Had a great time. Host were very gracious and their property was beautiful. Had some difficulty parking such a big rig/tow vehicle I’m sure partly due to being a newbie but parking for rigs smaller than ours would be excellent. Ours is 52 feet rig and tow vehicle combined. Overall a beautiful place to visit hosted by a wonderful couple.
Couldn’t recommend enough! Really enjoyed my stay here and getting to know these folks!
They were super kind and welcoming, and I absolutely look forward to perhaps staying again some day!
Delightful couple! Hospitality!! Rural setting is very relaxing..... even a fire in their pit for us.
We look forward to visiting again!!!
Dave n Chris n the 3 kitties :-)
My son said to say it was amazing and that's all that needs to be said. But I will add more. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. There to dogs were also very welcoming and sweet. They would sit and let you pet them for as long as you wanted to. The 2 guineas were not as friendly. They ran off yelling every time you made a move. It was a wonderful quiet place to relax and recharge. Helped a little in the garden and took a beautiful walk in the woods which have some nicely defined paths to walk on. I teach online and was not able to get a good signal with my Verizon. Spotty signal for data, but they had a guest Wi-Fi that I was able to use for the bits that I needed. And I mustn't forget the Southern hospitality of delicious Apple spice muffins. My son said they tasted like fluffy Ginger snaps with a little Apple mixed in. absolutely delicious. Our 2nd evening we enjoyed a campfire talking about boondock in spots and other Carvey top. The time we left we almost felt like part of the family. This will be on our list to visit in the future.
These are great people - kind, helpful, hospitable. We had great conversation, and the best muffins I've ever had☺️.
Super nice couple. We had a great time talking about travels. They have been so many places and had good suggestions for us. They had a spot for our camper under their shelter, away from the wind for the night, which was perfect. Their property is large and they have cleared a nice path through the trees and around their pond. Next time, if it's not windy, we'll bring the marshmallows!
Hobby Farm is 16 acres of beautiful country living where we spent 1 night. Our hosts were so friendly up on our arrival and got us situated very quickly. They have a nice shady place to park and we were able to fill up our water tanks and they also had a 30 amp connection. We took a tour of the entire property which included visits from their two wonderful dogs, Buddy and Bella. They gave us fresh vegetables from their garden which speaks volumes of how gracious of hosts they are. We highly recommend a visit to Hobby Farm.
Was treated like family, enjoyed their pets ( great watch dog) and left with some fresh vegetables.
It is a super location! Best of all M & R are wonderful hosts. Am truly thankful to have shared their location for a night! 🚐 ~
Beautiful piece of land that's easy to access. Shady, quiet and restful stop. The hosts were so generous and friendly. We had a wonderful time with them as they showed us their farm and also great conversation around the fire pit that evening. Would highly recommend.
Super helpful friendly couple. Beautiful sweet safe spot. I was feeling anxious traveling solo and made a last minute decision to go for Sherman. They were so accommodating. Looking forward to going back to the farm when I not making a mad dash x-c!
We couldn't have asked for a more lovely couple to host us for our "last" boondockers welcome stay for a while.
We came as strangers and have left as firm friends!
We were treated to the best Texan hospitality, on their gorgeous property with the most adorable dogs!
We were privileged to be their first guests with BW, and urge anyone in the vicinity to go stay.
This is a hidden gem location just off the beaten track, and reaffirms our choice to use BW!
We will definitely be back to visit as good friends, particularly as we chatted non stop until the wee hours!
Thank you both so much for your hospitality and kindness, you're both the most genuine, lovely people!
(We will definitely be back for your amazing cooking haha!)
