WE CAN ONLY ACCOMMODATE VANS/VAN-LIFERS.....This is because in Lake county, FL, a person cannot sleep in an RV overnight legally, so even though we are on 2 acres deemed agricultural, we can't even sleep in our own RV in our own yard overnight....the ordinance guy stopped by to tell us this when we had an RV with guests in the yard....But a van would be somewhat different....You could park in the driveway and vans are not as obvious that you are sleeping in it/more stealthy.... I know, ridiculous rules. Ugh...Makes us want to move just because of that one rule!!!! Anyways, So if you have a nice van and won't catch the ordinance guys eye, then you are Golden to stay here. We Love meeting you all and are so sad we have to limit the stays this way, but no choice....If you do plug in(we have 30 Amp or 15 Amp), a $5 donation is appreciated per night. The WiFi is not available in the yard, but the screened porch area has it. We do not have any spectacular water views, but you can walk down the road to see the water. Fenced area for pets; we do have a shih tzu who does not get along with other dogs, but is the sweetest, most gentle with humans. If it works out time and weather wise, we have a pontoon boat we can take you out on to show you the beautiful Dora Canal(A $10 gas donation would be cool) Suggested Local Attractions:1-Eustis-www.eustis.org (4.5 miles away) Always free parking Pretty sunsets Boardwalk to walk and enjoy view A few good eats First Friday of month music, food trucks and fun Fourth Saturday of month, car show, music, food trucks and fun 2-Mount Dora ( www.mountdora.com ) Www.mountdoramarket.com Cute town with lots of shops and good eats, free parking, pretty boardwalk, also a farm market Sunday’s) 3-Tavares- ( www.tavares.org ) 9 miles Seaplane city Wooten Park has a huge kids play area(water feature too, so bring their bathing suits & towels) Pretty walking path along water Seaplane tours(jonesairandsea.com) Free parking Delhi Llama lunch restaurant! House Rules

Have a good relaxing time! Common courtesy. If you want to be left alone or the opposite, just say the word; it's all good with us. We respect privacy and communication. We don’t want to bother neighbors, so unfortunately no generators.

Location

Access Road Conditions: You will just pull into our driveway. Easy peasy. We are at the corner of a somewhat busy country road and a very quiet side road, so there is road/traffic noise from vehicles stepping on it at stop sign. Annoying. I know I mentioned 1 night stay, but we could do more depending on the situation.... : ))

Home Town: I’m originally from Moncton, NB Canada and hubby is from Maryland, but we are in Grand Island, FL now Skills or Expertise to Share: We know North America like the back of our hands so we have lots of travel knowledge.

Just entering the long driveway into the this awesome property was a 5 star experience! Bugtussle is off the beaten track but not too far from Charleston and the surrounding area. The host was there to greet me upon arrival and couldn’t have been more accommodating. All the needed amenities were provided and the the natural beauty of this place iwas unsurpassed! I even got a special tour of the place and was able to purchase a handmade mug from his daughter’s art studio. The host was a very kind and interesting man, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommended!

Our visit was short notice and ours hosts graciously welcomed us. They have helped us to plan some great stops for the next leg of our wanderings and we plan to return for another visit very soon!

This was our first boondocking experience and we feel very spoilt! Our hosts are the loveliest of people and went above and beyond to make us feel at home! From providing us with an extensive list of things to do to lending us their vacuum cleaner before we departed! We cannot speak highly enough about our stay here and look forward to seeing our new friends again soon!
