We have 8 acres at 2,000 ft elevation, overlooking the Pacific and about 20 miles North of Hilo on the Hamakua Coast. We are off-grid, so no hook-ups are available, although we can usually offer water from our cachement system. Larger RVs (of which there are very few on the Island) will find reaching our property difficult although the few van campers we have hosted have had no trouble navigating the county road or descending our driveway. Also, at the bottom of our road (2 miles from our property), there is a small park with bathroom facilities, a covered pavilion and electric power that many campers use as a make-shift hook-up.
