We welcome you to Uinta Lanes/Edge of Town Pizza Pub. We have a large parking lot with lots of room. There is plenty of room for any size RV. Bowling Alley hours are 4pm to 10pm Monday thru Thursday, 4pm to 12am Friday, 1pm to 12am Saturday and 1pm to 10pm Sunday. Restaurant is open 11am to 10pm every day. Bar open 2hrs later than bowling alley. We may close the bar early depending on patrons. We live on the property and would love to meet you and share stories. Our house is by the fireworks stand. Come around and let us know your here. If you are in need of a sewer dump there is one at the local rest area at exit 6. They ask for donations. Please feel free to use the dumpster to clean up any trash you may be carrying. During Winter (Nov-April) we may have limited space and it could be below zero temps. You are still welcome to stay you just need to keep that in mind.
We ask that you park on the north side of the building preferably on the edge of the asphalt or on the gravel. If you have questions ask in the Bowling Alley if open or come around to the house by the fireworks stand. Or give us a call. Please pick up after your pets. You are welcome to let your pets off leash. We love pets as long as they are behaved. Feel free to pull out your camp chairs and tables and grills but please no open fires outside of a fire ring. Please watch children and pets as we can have a busy parking lot. We ask that you just use common sense and have an enjoyable stay. Please feel free to use the dumpster in the back to dispose of your trash. We say 3 days stay but will entertain longer on a case by case basis.
We have a large parking lot with plenty of room.
If we are not around our bowling alley employees usually are. If its summer we are normally close by. Give us a shout we can make most times work
Uinta Mountains 30 miles south of us are very beautiful during the summer. Also visit the Roundhouse downtown and the Bear River State park. Small Buffalo herd and a few Bull Elk call it home. You may even see a wild moose or two. Bear River Parkway is a great safe place to walk or bike. Let us know what your interested in we would be more than happy to make suggestions.
Host Ericksonjr told me I am not the only one that plays with the name Unita, taken from the nearby Unita Mountains. The location was easy to find and provided access to some delicious pizza in a restaurant open only five weeks now. While Ericksonjr shared about some site-seeing I could do, I just laid low and it was a great place to do that. The staff inside seemed to enjoy their jobs and made me feel welcome. Thanks Ericksonjr for the stay, and if I am in the area again I will be sure to visit.
Mike was a great host. He met us on arrival and showed us where to park, he gave us lots of information about the area. We enjoyed the delicious pizza and a quiet night.
Stayed one night and had a lovely view with some grazing horses. We helped ourselves to some of their great pizzas; definitely recommend! Very polite host and enjoyed our stop.
Thanks Mike..for the great conversation! Enjoyed the stay. Would fit any sized rig, as parking lot would accommodate. Loved listening and watching trains in the distance. Peaceful place just 2 miles out of town.
We got in late host met us. Unfortunately the bowling alley was closed for renovations but we were told to still make ourselves at home. They are adding in a restaurant and we hope to make it back again for some good food and bowling.
This is a perfect place to stop while traveling back to Denver from Oregon. Wonderful view and really quiet.
Terrific stay in Evanston, WY. The property is easily accessed from I-80 and the host gave terrific instructions for arrival and set up. The lot is large and flat with easy turnaround. We were greeted and given the entire lay of the land by our very friendly host and we only wish COVID had not forced their business to close temporarily as it seems like a very fun place to visit and have a few local beers. In the evening we had a herd of male mule deer grazing next door, they were majestic with their antlers getting full. The marmots were entertaining and our dog did zero work to help chase them from their roost, but he enjoyed watching and listening to them as much as we did. We enjoyed a crystal clear night at a cool 48 degrees which made for great open-windows sleeping. Thanks for a great stay and we hope to visit again in the future!
Super hospitality. Gave us the lay of the land.. good gas station, cheapest liquor store and best food. We opted for Don Rico’s for a Fathers Day steak dinner splurge ( see recommend on yelp). Bear River State Park ( no fees) is quaint and approachable day tripping ( fly fished a bit, picnicked, hiked wit the dog. Great to visit historic downtown and the Round House train station. Sure the railroad is out there but it wasn’t a problem. The marmots were most entertaining. Thanks for the stay! Best of luck with the remodel- pizza oven. Excited to bowl a few frames and have a slice with a beer another time.
Great place to stay, quiet and nice views. Mike is a very nice guy and really quick to respond to our last minute request. Will stay again!
Our host was extremely friendly, helpful and gave us suggestions on places to have dinner. Bowing Ally was not open but next time will definitely go in and have a beer.
We love Boondockers Wellcome! How amazing that we Can travel all over and meet like minded people and make such great friends! Our host was so patient with us as had to arrive late due to weather, road construction and multiple stops. When you travel with two dogs and a cat, “Pooh” stops are frequent.
Our host was great, meeting us on arrival and giving us guidance for parking. They space he offered was level and the view fantastic. He also gave me a heads up about a family of marmots that lived in some blocks. Morning found me with coffee and camera in hand. What cute little creatures! If you’d like to see my photos go to the Facebook group for BDW.
Welll def be stopping here again! Maybe next time the bowling allley and pizza house willll be open and welll plan a few more days!
What an absolutely wonderful location. The host was very helpful and communicated with us several times. He greeted us on our arrival and let us take the run of his parking lot and choose where we wanted to park. The view is stunning and in the morning we saw deer, horses and a family of Marmots. I’ve learned that there are so many wonderful people in the world. Just love the new experiences boondocking brings
Thank you so much for receiving us! Do not hesitate to park there. They are awesome. We arrived in March. Not a lot of traffic. Train during a day, nothing during a night. 5 minutes of all stores.
(magasins, restaurants.)
We met Mike when we got in late and he was a really nice guy next time we come through here we will stay again. My wife and son had a late night bowling game and loved it.
We stayed two nights at Uinta Lanes over Labor Day weekend in our 34 foot class A with our two dogs enroute from the Tetons to Arches. It was our best BW stay yet. The spot was huge, private, and our dogs could run off leash....but that’s not what made it great. M and S are perfect hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and even helped troubleshoot our generator problem. When we couldn’t get it running, they allowed us to plug in. We visited their bowling center for a few drinks and conversation and had dinner with them twice. They are a friendly and fun couple and we hope to meet up during our travels (they have a rig as well) and/or stay there whenever in southwestern WY. If you’re traveling in that area- stay at Uinta Lanes...you will have a great time and meet wonderful new friends! Thanks for your hospitality and keep in touch M and S!
A fun and easy stop. Right off a main road, easy to back in and set up. We bowled, had a cocktail, and a great visit. Hosts are positive and happy people (and big animal lovers!), which makes this stop a 10 in our book. Our dog loved them! Fun things to do around town, too. Bear River Greenway is close, with a walking path and bike trail. If you have time, take a drive on the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway, just gorgeous. We are already looking forward to visiting again!
We arrived later than we expected, but they let us know it wasn't a problem and that we could find a level spot, set up and stay as long as needed. We were just in need of a short overnight stay and since we arrived late and this was the first night of 3 on the road to our destination for our vacation. We got set up and shortly after our hosts came and introduced themselves. We had a chance to talk for a while and they were nice enough to invite us back on our return trip if we go back the same way. They will be open when we come back through so we're looking forward to bow;ing a few games and having some cocktails. Wonderful hosts, looking forward to staying again.
Thanks so much!
Great entertainment! They met us in the lot when we pulled in and got us parked perfectly! Very accommodating people! We bowled a game with them and went out for a bite to eat too!
They offered us the WiFi password but the metal building kept it from working. They even offered us an extension cord but we refused and ran the generator once while we were there.
They LOVE your pets! Oliver was allowed to go bowling with us so he didn’t have to stay in the RV alone. He hung out with their dog Zeus while we bowled.
There is a train track close but I barely remember hearing it. We sleep with a sound machine.
Our hosts were very welcoming. They did everything to make us comfortable. We dry camped but was offered an electrical cord. The bowling alley was closed so it was very quiet except for an occasional train that didn't bother us. We had deer outside our door when we woke up. We will definitely stop here if we pass through again.
